Silica Nanoparticle Exposure Caused Brain Lesion and Underlying Toxicological Mechanism:Route-Dependent Bio-Corona Formation and GSK3βPhosphorylation Status

When nanoparticles(NPs)enter a physiological environment,they tend to adsorb proteins to form a so-called corona.A comprehensive understanding of the effect of protein corona on NPs’toxicity is *** previous study indicated that silica nanoparticles(SiO_(2)NPs)exposure with different routes resulted in distinct brain damage;however,an exact molecular mechanism of protein corona on the regulation of SiO_(2)NPsinduced damages needs further ***_(2)NPs exposure via intravenous injection may encounter a protein-rich bio-matrix,which drives the adsorption of serum protein on their surface to form a stable SiO_(2)NPs@serum *** the contrary,SiO_(2)NPs exposure via intranasal instillation remained their original feature,due to a protein infertile environment of cerebrospinal ***,surface adsorption of proteinaceous substances altered inherent toxic behavior of SiO_(2)*** addition,glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta(GSK3β)phosphorylate was found at different residues,which play an essential role in orchestrating apoptosis and autophagy ***-dependent corona formation determined GSK3βphosphorylation status and ultimately the toxic behavior of SiO_(2)*** work presented the evidence of biocorona on the regulation of SiO_(2)NPs-induced toxicity,which can be used to guide risk assessment of environmental NPs.

Vacancy healing for stable perovskite solar cells via bifunctional potassium tartrate

Perovskite solar cell has gained widespread attention as a promising technology for renewable ***, their commercial viability has been hampered by their long-term stability and potential Pb leakage. Herein, we demonstrate a bifunctional passivator of the potassium tartrate(PT) to address both challenges. PT minimizes the Pb leakage in perovskites and also heals cationic vacancy defects, resulting in improved device performance and stability. Benefiting from PT modification, the power conversion efficiency(PCE) is improved to 23.26% and the Pb leakage in unencapsulated films is significantly reduced to 9.79 ppm. Furthermore, the corresponding device exhibits no significant decay in PCE after tracking at the maximum power point(MPP) for 2000 h under illumination(LED source, 100 mW cm^(-2)).

Classification of anatomical morphology of cystic duct and its association with gallstone

3D-printable Boron Nitride/Polyacrylic Hydrogel Composites with High Thermal Conductivities

Polyacrylic acid(PAA)hydrogel composites with different hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN)fillers were synthesized and successfully 3D-printed while their thermal conductivity was systematically *** the content of h-BN increasing from 0.1 wt%to 0.3 wt%,the thermal conductivity of the 3D-printed composites has been ***,through the shear force given by the 3D printer,a complete thermal conductivity path is obtained inside the hydrogel,which significantly improves the thermal conductivity of the h-BN hydrogel *** maximum thermal conductivity is 0.8808 W/(m·K),leading to a thermal conductive enhancement of 1000%,compared with the thermal conductivity of pure PAA *** study shows that using h-BN fillers can effectively and significantly improve the thermal conductivity of hydrogelbased materials while its 3D-printable ability has been maintained.

Surface-induced Microstructure and Performance Changes in P3HT Ultrathin Films

In this work,poly(3-hexylthiophene)(P3HT)ultrathin films(P3HT-T)were prepared by spin-coating a dilute P3HT solution(in a toluene:o-dichlorobenzene(Tol:ODCB)blend with a volume ratio of 80:20)with ultrasonication and the addition of the nucleating agent bicycle[2.2.1]heptane-2,3-dicarboxylic acid disodium salt(HPN-68L)on glass,Si wafers and indium tin oxide(ITO)*** electrical and mechanical properties of the P3HT-T ultrathin films were investigated,and it was found that the conductivity and crack onset strain(COS)were simultaneously improved in comparison with those of the corresponding pristine P3HT film(P3HT-0,without ultrasonication and nucleating agent)on the same substrate,regardless of what substrate was ***,the conductivity of P3HT-T ultrathin films on different substrates was similar(varying from 3.7 S·cm^(-1)to 4.4 S·cm^(-1)),yet the COS increased from 97%to 138%by varying the substrate from a Si wafer to *** grazing-incidence wide-angle X-ray diffraction(GIXRD),UV-visible(UV-Vis)spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy(AFM),we found that the solid order and crystallinity of the P3HT-T ultrathin film on the Si wafer are highest,followed by those on glass,and much lower on ***,the surface energy and roughness of three substrates were investigated,and it was found that the polar component of the surface energyγp plays a critical role in determining the crystalline microstructures of P3HT ultrathin films on different *** work indicates that the P3HT ultrathin film can obviously improve the stretchability and simultaneously retain similar electrical performance when a suitable substrate is *** findings offer a new direction for research on stretchable CP ultrathin films to facilitate future practical applications.

Quasinormal modes and ringdown waveforms of a Frolov black hole

In this paper we investigate scalar perturbation over a Frolov black hole（BH）, which is a regular BH induced by the quantum gravity effect. The quasinormal frequencies of a scalar field always consistently reside in the lower half-plane, and the time-domain evolution of the field demonstrates a decaying behavior, with the late-time tail exhibiting a power-law pattern. These observations collectively suggest the stability of a Frolov BH against scalar ***, our study reveals that the quantum gravity effect leads to slower decay modes. For the case of the angular quantum number l = 0, the oscillation exhibits non-monotonic behavior with the quantum gravity parameter α0. However, once l ≥ 1, the angular quantum number surpasses the influence of the quantum gravity effect.

Lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries are one of the most promising modern-day energy supply systems because of their high theoretical energy density and low ***,the development of high-energy density Li-S batteries with high loading of flammable sulfur faces the challenges of electrochemical performance degradation owing to the shuttle effect and safety issues related to fire or explosion *** this work,we report a three-dimensional(3D)conductive nitrogen-doped carbon foam supported electrostatic self-assembled MXene-ammonium polyphosphate(NCF-MXene-APP)layer as a heat-resistant,thermally-insulated,flame-retardant,and freestanding host for Li-S batteries with a facile and costeffective synthesis ***,through the use of NCF-MXene-APP hosts that strongly anchor polysulfides,the Li-S batteries demonstrate outstanding electrochemical properties,including a high initial discharge capacity of 1191.6 mA h g^(-1),excellent rate capacity of 755.0 mA h g^(-1)at 1 C,and long-term cycling stability with an extremely low-capacity decay rate of 0.12%per cycle at 2 *** importantly,these batteries can continue to operate reliably under high temperature or flame attack ***,this study provides valuable insights into the design of safe high-performance Li-S batteries.
