Osteoporosis is a common skeletal disease,affecting-200 million people around the *** a complex disease,osteoporosis is influenced by many factors,including diet(*** and protein intake),physical activity,endocrine status,coexisting diseases and genetic *** this review,we first summarize the discovery from genome-wide association studies(GWASs)in the bone field in the last 12 *** date,GWASs and meta-analyses have discovered hundreds of loci that are associated with bone mineral density(BMD),osteoporosis,and osteoporotic ***,the GWAS approach has sometimes been criticized because of the small effect size of the discovered variants and the mystery of missing heritability,these two questions could be partially explained by the newly raised conceptual models,such as omnigenic model and natural ***,we introduce the clinical use of GWAS findings in the bone field,such as the identification of causal clinical risk factors,the development of drug targets and disease *** the fruitful GWAS discoveries in the bone field,most of these GWAS participants were of European descent,and more genetic studies should be carried out in other ethnic populations to benefit disease prediction in the corresponding population.

A Comparative Analysis on Weibo and Twitter

Weibo is the Twitter counterpart in China that has attracted hundreds of millions of users. We crawled an almost complete Weibo user network that contains 222 million users and 27 billion links in 2013. This paper analyzes the structural properties of this network, and compares it with a Twitter user network. The topological properties we studied include the degree distributions, connected components, distance distributions, reciprocity,clustering coefficient, Page Rank centrality, and degree assortativity. We find that Weibo users have a higher diversity index, higher Gini index, but a lower reciprocity and clustering coefficient for most of the nodes. A surprising observation is that the reciprocity of Weibo is only about a quarter of the reciprocity of the Twitter user network. We also show that Weibo adoption rate correlates with economic development positively, and Weibo network can be used to quantify the connections between provinces and regions in China. In particular, point-wise mutual information is shown to be accurate in quantifying the strength of connections. We developed an interactive analyzing software framework for this study, and released the data and code online.

In the present work,a numerical investigation on the coaxial shallow borehole heat exchanger based on Com-putational Fluid Dynamics(CFD)technique in Hefei city of China has been *** effects of design parameters,including inlet flow rate,inlet fluid temperature,inner pipe material and outer pipe diameter,on the heat transfer performance were systematically ***,the thermal behavior along the pipe has been carefully examined with focus on the thermal short-circuiting *** the fluid inlet velocity is less than the critical value,the turbulence intensity increases and the Nusselt number increases with the inlet flow rate ***,there is sufficient time for heat transfer between the fluid in inner pipe and outer pipe because of low flow rates,leading to large heat loss,i.e.,thermal short-circuiting *** is found that with the inlet flow rate increasing,the heat transfer increases first and then decreases,and the rate of reduction slows down *** the inlet flow rate increases,the pumping power undergoes exponential *** the inlet temperature increasing,the heat transfer decreases almost ***,when the soil temperature at the top of the casing is lower than that of the fluid in the casing,heat is transferred from the fluid in the casing to the soil,and the heat loss increases with the increase of the inlet fluid *** material of inner pipe with high heat conductivity would result in large heat loss under the influence of thermal *** heat load increases while the pumping power required decreases with the increasing of outer pipe *** study is very beneficial for the coaxial shallow borehole exchanger designs and energy conservation of buildings.

This study investigated the composition of long-chain alkyl diols, triols, sec-alcohols, hydroxyl acids, and other hydroxylated compounds in Azolla imbricata and compared the organic alcohol components of Azolla filiculoides, Azolla microphylla, and South China Sea （SCS） sediments in order to investigate the possible indication of Azolla being the biological source of diols and triols in SCS sediment. Large amounts of diols, monohydroxy acids, and sec-alcohols with internal hydroxy groups at ω20 were detected in the three types of Azolla. Among these, 1,ω20-diol and ω20-hydroxy acid exhibited strong even-odd predominance distribution, whereas co20-sec-alcohol exhibited strong odd-even predominance distribution. In addition, small amounts of diols, triols, and dihydroxy acids with internal hydroxy groups at 9, 10 or ω9, ω 10 were detected, among which the chain length of C29 was predominate. Compounds having similar structures as those in Azolla reflected a similar biosynthetic pathway： ω20-hydroxy acid exhibiting even-odd predominance distribution is decarboxylated to ω20-sec-alcohol exhibiting odd-even predominance distribution and converted to 1, ω20-diol with even-odd predominance distribution by acyl reduction; ω9,ω10-hydroxy acid is converted to 1,20,21（1, ω9, ω10）-triol by acyl reduction, and then converted to 9,10-diol by hydrogenation and dehydration. The alcohol components in A. imbricata were clearly not the biological source of 1,13/1,14/1,15-C28, 30, 32 diols and 1,3,4-C27.29 triols in the SCS sediment. Certain marine diatoms might be the source of 1,14-C28.30 diol in inshore sediment, but the biological source of diols and triols in the SCS sediment requires further investigation.

After the detection of the 1,20,21-C29 long-chain triol in some sediments and freshwater pteridophytes, in this study a new homologous long-chain triol, 1,3,4-C27-29, is detected for the first time in the Site4B core sediment in the northern South China Sea. The hydroxyl location and length of the carbon chain of this newly discovered triol differ from those of 1,20,21-C29 triol. The test results of its molecular distribution and individual carbon isotope reveal that 1,3,4-C29triol has a good correlation with n-C26-30 even carbon-numbered long-chain fatty alcohols, with R2 （n=68） values of 0.905, 0.929 and 0.903, respectively, and its carbon isotope composition, at -32.3%o_1.9%o, is similar to that of rt-C26.30, at -29.13%o^0.87%o, -32.98%o^1.28%o, and -32.98%o^1.28%o. 1,3,4-C29 triol from the Site4B core sediment and terrigenous long-chain fatty alcohol （n-C26.34） show highly consistent distribution trends in the entire section; thus, the former could serve as a proxy indicator of the terrigenous input. Considering that the 1,20,21-C29 triol in previous research belongs to Azolla, which are fresh water pteridophytes, the 1,3,4-C27-29 triol identified in this study might have similar biogenetic derivation. Thus, determination of its biogenic area and growing environment could provide potential organic geochemical evidence supporting the terrigenous input and source in the northern South China Sea.

Long-chain n-alkanols and n-alkanes in core sediments from the northern South China Sea(SCS)were measured to make a comparison during terrestrial vegetation reconstruction from~42 ka to~7 *** results showed that terrestrial vegetation record from long-chain n-alkanes matched well with previous studies in nearby cores,showing that more C_(4)plants developed during the Last Glacial Maximum(LGM)and C_(3)plants dominated in the interglacial ***,these scenarios were not revealed by terrestrial vegetation reconstruction using long-chain n-alkanols,which showed C_(3)plant expansion during the *** discrepancy during the interglacial period could be attributed to the aerobic degradation of functionalized long-chain n-alkanols in the oxygen-rich bottom water,resulting in poor preservation of terrestrial vegetation *** the other hand,the different advantages of functionalized n-alkanols and non-functional n-alkanes to record local and distal vegetation signals,respectively,may offer a potential explanation for the contradiction during the LGM when the SCS was characterized by low-oxygen deep ***,large variations on n-alkyl lipid compositions in C_(3)/C_(4)plants could play a part in modulating sedimentary long-chain n-alkanols and n-alkanes toward different vegetation signals,thereby suggesting that caution must be taken in respect to the terrestrial vegetation reconstruction using long-chain n-alkanes and long-chain n-alkanols.

Graph databases have gained widespread adoption in various industries and have been utilized in a range of applications,including financial risk assessment,commodity recommendation,and data lineage *** the principles and design of these databases have been the subject of some investigation,there remains a lack of comprehensive examination of aspects such as storage layout,query language,and *** present study focuses on the design and implementation of graph storage layout,with a particular emphasis on tree-structured key-value *** also examine different design choices in the graph storage layer and present our findings through the development of TuGraph,a highly efficient single-machine graph database that significantly outperforms well-known Graph DataBase Management System(GDBMS).Additionally,TuGraph demonstrates superior performance in the Linked Data Benchmark Council(LDBC)Social Network Benchmark(SNB)interactive benchmark.

A zero-IF transmitter for Cognitive Radio(CR) application is *** effectively reduce the interference between Power Amplifier(PA) and Voltage Controlled Oscillator(VCO),two VCOs are adopted,one is 450 MHz and the other is from 1148 MHz to 1252 MHz with an 8 MHz step,so the frequency of them are different from the operational frequency of *** Local Oscillator(LO) of the modulator generated by mixing the signals of the two VCOs has a low phase noise of-82 dBc/Hz with an offset of 1 *** measurement result of the transmitter shows that the Adjacent Channel Power Ratio(ACPR) is less than-47.5 dBc at 27 dBm output,and the Error Vector Magnitude(EVM) is less than 1.7%.
