In the present work,15400 yr old geochemical records of a core from the subalpine Daping swamp are presented with the aim to examine the relationship between the chemical weathering and the climatic changes in the region of the western Nanling Mountains,*** climate of the study region was deeply controlled by the East Asian summer *** results indicate that,in the past 15400 yrs,the values of chemical index of alteration(CIA)ranged from 73.9%to 88.2%(mean:85.3%),suggested a medium and high intensity of chemical *** local exogenous clastic materials,which were derived from the weathered residues,played a key role in contributing towards the *** the climate-induced chemical weathering exerted strong influences on the geochemical features of weathered residues,the geochemical characteristics of the sediments were deeply impacted by climatic *** and warmer conditions would favor increased chemical weathering,resulting in more leaching of soluble and mobile elements(e.g.,Ba and Sr)and leaving the resistant and immobile elements(e.g.,Al and Ti)enriched in the weathered *** materials were then eroded and transported into the lake,and led to the sediments characterized by the characteristic of having depleted soluble *** contrast,dry and cold conditions would result in an opposite *** this sense,the geochemical records can serve as proxies to indicate changes of chemical weathering intensity,which were closely related to the evolution of summer monsoon.

In this study, we investigate the variations of spring and autumn air temperatures in southern China(SC) and associated atmospheric circulation patterns. During the boreal spring, the SC air temperature is mainly influenced by tropical sea surface temperature anomalies(SSTAs). On the one hand, the El Ni?o SSTA pattern may induce a stronger-than-normal western Pacific subtropical high, which leads to warming in SC. On the other hand, the warm SSTAs in the tropical Indian Ocean may trigger anomalous Rossby wave trains, which propagate northeastward and result in anomalously high temperature in SC. During the boreal autumn, however, the SC temperature is more likely to be affected by the mid-latitude atmospheric circulation, such as the wave trains forced by the North Atlantic *** NCEP Climate Forecast System version 2(CFSv2) is able to capture the climatology of SC air temperatures during both spring and autumn. For interannual variation, the CFSv2 shows a good skill for predicting the SC temperature in spring, due to the model’s good performance in capturing the associated atmospheric circulation anomalies as responses to tropical SSTAs, in spite of the overestimated relationship with the El Ni?o-Southern Oscillation(ENSO). However,the model has a poor skill for predicting the SC temperature in autumn, primarily due to the unrealistic prediction of its relationship with the ENSO.

Seasonal Prediction for May Rainfall over Southern China Based on the NCEP CFSv2

In this study,we assess the prediction for May rainfall over southern China(SC)by using the NCEP CFSv2 *** show that the CFSv2 is able to depict the climatology of May rainfall and associated ***,the model has a poor skill in predicting interannual variation due to its poor performance in capturing related anomalous *** observation,the above-normal SC rainfall is associated with two anomalous anticyclones over the western tropical Pacific and northeastern China,respectively,with a low-pressure convergence in *** the CFSv2,however,the anomalous circulations exhibit the patterns in response to the El Ni?o-Southern Oscillation(ENSO),demonstrating that the model overestimates the relationship between May SC rainfall and *** of the onset of the South China Sea monsoon,the atmospheric circulation in May over SC is more complex,so the prediction for May SC rainfall is more *** this study,we establish a dynamic-statistical forecast model for May SC rainfall based on the relationship between the interannual variation of rainfall and large-scale ocean-atmosphere variables in the *** sea surface temperature anomalies(SSTAs)in the northeastern Pacific and the centraleastern equatorial Pacific,and the 500-h Pa geopotential height anomalies over western Siberia in previous April,which exert great influence on the SC rainfall in May,are chosen as ***,multiple linear regression is employed between the predictors obtained from the CFSv2 and observed May SC *** cross validation and independent test show that the hybrid model significantly improve the model’s skill in predicting the interannual variation of May SC rainfall by two months in advance.

Metastatic pancreatic cancer(mPC)has a dismal ***,we conducted a prospective,multicentre,single-arm,phase II trial evaluating the efficacy and safety of penpulimab and anlotinib in combination with nab-paclitaxel/gemcitabine(PAAG)in patients with first-line mPC(NCT05493995).The primary endpoints included the objective response rate(ORR)and disease control rate(DCR),while secondary endpoints encompassed progression-free survival(PFS),overall survival(OS),and *** 66 patients analysed for efficacy,the best response,indicated by the ORR,was recorded at 50.0%(33/66)(95%CI,37.4–62.6%),with 33 patients achieving partial response(PR).Notably,the DCR was 95.5%(63/66,95%CI,87.3–99.1%).The median PFS(mPFS)and OS(mOS)were 8.8(95%CI,8.1–11.6),and 13.7(95%CI,12.4 to not reached)months,*** 3/4 treatment-related adverse events(TRAEs)were reported in 39.4%of patients(26/66).In prespecified exploratory analysis,patients with altered SWI/SNF complex had a poorer ***,low serum CA724 level,high T-cell recruitment,low Th17 cell recruitment,and high NK CD56dim cell scores at baseline were potential predicative biomarkers for more favourable *** conclusion,PAAG as a first-line therapy demonstrated tolerability with promising clinical efficacy for *** biomolecular findings identified in this study possess the potential to guide the precise clinical application of the triple-combo regimen.
