This paper explores the conditions which make a regular balancedrandom(k,2.)-CNFformula(1.O)-unsatisfiable with high *** conditions also make a random instance of the regular balanced(k-1.2.k-1.s)-SAT problem unsatisfiable with high probability,where the instance obeys a distribution which differs from the distribution obeyed by a regular balanced random(k-1.2.k-1.s)-CNF *** F be a regular balanced random(k,2.)-CNF formula where k≥3,then there exists a number so such that F is(1.O)-unsatisfiable with high probability if s>so.A numerical solution of the number so when k e(5,6,...,1.)is given to conduct simulated *** simulated experiments verify the theoretical ***,the experiments also suggest that F is(1.O)-satisfiable with high probability if s is less than a certain value.

Photo-consistency estimation is an important part for many image-based modeling *** paper presents a novel radiance-based color calibration method to reduce the uncertainty of photo-consistency estimation across multiple *** idea behind our method is to convert colors into a uniform radiometric color space in which multiple image data are *** results demonstrate that our method can achieve comparable color calibration effect without adjusting camera parameters and is more robust than other existing ***,we obtain an auto-determined threshold for photo-consistency check,which will lead to a better performance than existing photo-consistency based reconstruction algorithms.

Evolutionary computation is a rapidly evolving field and the related algorithms have been successfully used to solve various real-world optimization *** past decade has also witnessed their fast progress to solve a class of challenging optimization problems called high-dimensional expensive problems(HEPs).The evaluation of their objective fitness requires expensive resource due to their use of time-consuming physical experiments or computer ***,it is hard to traverse the huge search space within reasonable resource as problem dimension *** evolutionary algorithms(EAs)tend to fail to solve HEPs competently because they need to conduct many such expensive evaluations before achieving satisfactory *** reduce such evaluations,many novel surrogate-assisted algorithms emerge to cope with HEPs in recent *** there lacks a thorough review of the state of the art in this specific and important *** paper provides a comprehensive survey of these evolutionary algorithms for *** start with a brief introduction to the research status and the basic concepts of ***,we present surrogate-assisted evolutionary algorithms for HEPs from four main *** also give comparative results of some representative algorithms and application ***,we indicate open challenges and several promising directions to advance the progress in evolutionary optimization algorithms for HEPs.

The recent advances in aqueous magnesium-ion hybrid supercapacitor(MHSC)have attracted great attention as it brings together the benefits of high energy density,high power density,and synchronously addresses cost and safety ***,the freeze of aqueous electrolytes discourages aqueous MHSC from operating at low-temperature ***,a low-concentration aqueous solution of 4 mol L^(-1. Mg(ClO_(4))_(2. is devised for its low freezing point(-67℃)and ultra-high ionic conductivity(3.37 mS cm^(-1. at-50℃).Both physical characterizations and computational simulations revealed that the Mg(ClO_(4))_(2. can effectively disrupt the original hydrogen bond network among water molecules via transmuting the electrolyte structure,thus yielding a low freezing ***,the Mg(ClO_(4))_(2. electrolytes endue aqueous MHSC with a wider temperature operation range(-50℃–2.℃)and a higher energy density of 1.3.9 Wh kg^(-1. at 3.68 kW kg^(-1. over commonly used magnesium salts(i.e.,MgSO_(4) and Mg(NO_(3))_(2.)***,a quasi-solid-state MHSC based on polyacrylamide-based hydrogel electrolyte holds superior low-temperature performance,excellentﬂexibility,and high *** work pioneers a convenient,cheap,and eco-friendly tactic to procure low-temperature aqueous magnesium-ion energy storage device.

The quality of internetware software is significantly associated with class *** software evolves,changes often introduce many unrelated responsibilities to the same classes or distribute tightly-related methods in different *** changes make the classes difficult to understand and *** class refactoring is an effective technique to improve the quality of software structure by decomposing unrelated methods in one class to create new classes or extracting tightly-related methods from different *** this paper,we propose a novel approach for class extraction from internetware source *** approach leverages a community structure detection technique to partition software into clusters and extracts classes from the resulting *** experimental results,which investigate the public well-known internetware PKUAS,indicate that:(1.the proposed approach is much faster than existing search-based clustering approaches(Hillclimbing and Genetic algorithm)and is thus applicable for large-scale internetware;(2.the proposed approach can identify meaningful class extractions for internetware;and(3)Extract Class refactoring candidates identified by the proposed approach significantly improve class cohesion of internetware.

Network measures are useful for predicting fault-prone modules. However, existing work has not distinguished faults according to their severity. In practice, high severity faults cause serious problems and require further attention. In this study, we explored the utility of network measures in high severity faultproneness prediction. We constructed software source code networks for four open-source projects by extracting the dependencies between modules. We then used univariate logistic regression to investigate the associations between each network measure and fault-proneness at a high severity level. We built multivariate prediction models to examine their explanatory ability for fault-proneness, as well as evaluated their predictive effectiveness compared to code metrics under forward-release and cross-project predictions. The results revealed the following:(1. most network measures are significantly related to high severity fault-proneness;(2. network measures generally have comparable explanatory abilities and predictive powers to those of code metrics; and(3) network measures are very unstable for cross-project predictions. These results indicate that network measures are of practical value in high severity fault-proneness prediction.

Author name disambiguation(AND)is a central task in academic search,which has received more attention recently accompanied by the increase of authors and academic *** tackle the AND problem,existing studies have proposed various approaches based on different types of information,such as raw document features(e.g.,co-authors,titles,and keywords),the fusion feature(e.g.,a hybrid publication embedding based on multiple raw document features),the local structural information(e.g.,a publication's neighborhood information on a graph),and the global structural information(e.g.,interactive information between a node and others on a graph).However,there has been no work taking all the above-mentioned information into account and taking full advantage of the contributions of each raw document feature for the AND problem so *** fill the gap,we propose a novel framework named EAND(Towards Effective Author Name Disambiguation by Hybrid Attention).Specifically,we design a novel feature extraction model,which consists of three hybrid attention mechanism layers,to extract key information from the global structural information and the local structural information that are generated from six similarity graphs constructed based on different similarity coefficients,raw document features,and the fusion *** hybrid attention mechanism layer contains three key modules:a local structural perception,a global structural perception,and a feature ***,the mean absolute error function in the joint loss function is used to introduce the structural information loss of the vector *** results on two real-world datasets demonstrate that EAND achieves superior performance,outperforming state-of-the-art methods by at least+2.74%in terms of the micro-F1.score and+3.31.in terms of the macro-F1.score.

Mandarin Chinese Tone Recognition with an Artificial Neural Network

Mandarin Chinese tone patterns vary in one of the four ways, i.e, (1. high level; (2. rising; (3) low falling and rising; and (4) high falling. The present study is to examine the efficacy of an artificial neural network in recognizing these tone patterns. Speech data were recorded from 1.0}children (3-6 years of age) and 1. adults. All subjects were native Mandarin Chinese speakers. The fundamental frequencies (F0) of each monosyllabic word of the speech data were extracted with an autocorrelation method. The pitch data(i.e., the F0 contours) were the inputs to a feed-forward backpropagation artificial neural network. The number of inputs to the neural network varied from 1.to 1. and the hidden layer of the network contained neurons that varied from 1.to 1. in number. The output of the network consisted of four neurons representing the four tone patterns of Mandarin Chinese. After being trained with the Levenberg-Marquardt optimization, the neural network was able to successfully classify the tone patterns with an accuracy of about 90% correct for speech samples from both adults and children. The artificial neural network may provide an objective and effective way of assessing tone production in prelingually-deafened children who have received cochlear implants.
