Maize(Zea mays),as a staple food and an important industrial raw material,has been widely cultivated for centuries especially by smallholder *** lethal necrosis disease(MLND)is a serious disease infecting maize,which caused devastating damage in the African region *** is induced by co-infection of maize chlorotic mottle virus and one of several cereal-infecting viruses in the Potyviridae family,with the symptoms ranging from chlorotic mottle to plant death at different infection *** pest management for MLND needs strengthening detection,focusing on prevention and effective *** detection system of MLND has been successfully established by serological methods,nucleic acid-based methods,next-generation sequencing,*** practices,such as using certified seeds,sanitary measures,crop rotation,tolerant or resistant varieties etc.,have been considered as the effective,economical and eco-friendly way to prevent and control MLND.

雷公藤治疗风湿免疫病临床疗效确切,是医学界公认的有效药物,然而雷公藤具有效毒二重性,在发挥免疫调节作用的同时,也出现肝、肾、消化道等毒性,限制了其在临床的应用。因此,寻求既能发挥它的药理功效,同时又能减轻毒性的方法,是临床应用中亟待解决的难题。周学平教授提出“异类相制”理论,从气味相制、异效相制、扶正制毒3个方面,指导雷公藤在风湿免疫病中的配伍运用,临床疗效良好,未见明显毒性。

Viral diseases are among the most critical damaging factors that impose a global threat to the cucurbit *** is the world’s leading country for the production and consumption of ***,a province in southern China dominated by the tropical and subtropical climate,favors the survival of different plant viruses and their *** main cucurbit crops showing various disease symptoms were surveyed and collected to identify viruses infecting cucurbits in Guangdong during 2018–*** the field,the incidence ranged from 5-30%,or even 60-100% in the case of severely infected cucurbits.A total of 357 symptomatic samples were collected and subsequently screened for cucurbit viruses by small RNA deep sequencing and assembly(sRSA).Seventeen virus species belonging to 10 genera were identified in the five main cucurbit *** most common viruses were papaya ringspot virus(PRSV;Potyvirus),zucchini tigre mosaic virus(ZTMV;Potyvirus),zucchini yellow mosaic virus(ZYMV;Potyvirus),and watermelon silver mottle virus(WSMoV;Orthotospovirus),with infection rates of 24.4,19.0,17.1,and 14.3%,***,the most prevalent viruses were melon yellow spot orthotospovirus(MYSV)in cucumber,PRSV in squash,cucumber green mottle mosaic virus(CGMMV;Tobamovirus)in bottle gourd,WSMoV in white gourd,and ZYMV in *** infections were prevalent,and the types of mixed infections varied substantially in different cucurbit ***,the full-length nucleotide sequences of watermelon green mottle mosaic virus(WGMMV),CGMMV,and watermelon virus A(WVA;Wamavirus)identified in bottle gourd were cloned and *** study is the first reporting WGMMV infecting bottle gourd in China *** summary,the results demonstrate that in Guangdong,the most prevalent viruses belong to potyviruses,orthotospoviruses,and tobamoviruses *** findings will facilitate agricultural researchers and farmers to plan and implement effective disease control strategies aimi

There has always been a great need for simple and accurate bioassays for evaluating nutrient limitation in aquatic ecosystems. Whereas organic carbon is usually considered to be the limiting nutrient for microbial growth in many aquatic ecosystems, there are, however, many water sources that are limited by phosphorus or nitrogen. A method named ＂nitrogen fixing bacterial growth potential＂（NFBGP） test, which is based on pre-culturing of autochthonous （target） microorganisms was described. The method was applied to evaluate phosphorus or nitrogen nutrient limitation in lake and sewage water samples using an isolate of the nitrogen fixing bacterium, Azorhizobium sp. WS6. The results corresponded well to those from the traditional algal growth potential （AGP） test and the bacterial regrowth potential （BRP） test, suggesting that the NFBGP test is a useful supplementary method for evaluating the limiting nutrient, especially phosphorus, in an aquatic environment.

A recent study on the submolecular-scale control of phototautomerization methods and the underlying reaction mechanisms was reported in Nature Nanotechnology by Guillaume and co-workers[1],elucidating how the field confinement effect generated by the scanning tunneling microscope(STM)tip precisely triggers the phototautomerization of a free-base phthalocyanine at the submolecular level and demonstrating that the reaction process can be finely controlled by adjusting either the laser excitation wavelength or the position of the tip.

Human endogenous retroviruses(HERVs)are remnants of retroviral infections in human germline cells from millions of years *** these,ERVW-1(also known as HERV-W-ENV,ERVWE1,or ENVW)encodes the envelope protein of the HERV-W family,which contributes to the pathophysiology of ***,neuropathological studies have revealed cell death and disruption of iron homeostasis in the brains of individuals with ***,our bioinformatics analysis showed that differentially expressed genes in the human prefrontal cortex RNA microarray dataset(GSE53987)were mainly related to ferroptosis and its associated *** data demonstrated significantly lower expression levels of ferroptosis-related genes,particularly Glutathione peroxidase 4(GPX4)and solute carrier family 3 member 2(SLC3A2),in schizophrenia patients compared to normal *** in-depth analyses revealed a significant negative correlation between ERVW-1 expression and the levels of GPX4/SLC3A2 in *** indicated that ERVW-1 increased iron levels,malondialdehyde(MDA),and transferrin receptor protein 1(TFR1)expression while decreasing glutathione(GSH)levels and triggering the loss of mitochondrial membrane potential,suggesting that ERVW-1 can induce *** research has shown that ERVW-1 reduced the expression of GPX4 and SLC3A2 by inhibiting their promoter ***,Ferrostatin-1(Fer-1),the ferroptosis inhibitor,reversed the iron accumulation and mitochondrial membrane potential loss,as well as restored the expressions of ferroptosis markers GSH,MDA,and TFR1 induced by *** conclusion,ERVW-1 could promote ferroptosis by downregulating the expression of GPX4 and SLC3A2,revealing a novel mechanism by which ERVW-1 contributes to neuronal cell death in schizophrenia.

Being a major class of single-stranded DNA viruses, geminiviruses are mostly studied due to their catastrophic infectious effect on crops. These DNA viruses are characteristic for their ability in quickly multiplying viral genetic materials without integrating into the genome of plants, which makes them ideal for developing viral vectors for plants bioengineering. Geminivirus-derived vectors can be classified into expression vectors and virus-induced gene silencing（VIGS） vectors. Details of the design, construction, application and improvements of these geminivirus vectors are summarized and discussed.

The physical and chemical properties of feldspar and quartz are highly similar,thus they cannot be easily separated *** this work,the flotation separation of feldspar from quartz using sodium fluosilicate(Na_(2)SiF_(6);SF)as a selective depressant was ***,the influence mechanism of SF on the selective flotation separation of feldspar and quartz was investigated via flotation tests,chemical analysis of flotation solution,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)and contact angle *** results of the flotation tests show that feld spar and quartz without SF treatment have good *** SF treatment,feldspar still has good floatability,whereas quartz has significantly reduced *** solution chemical analysis shows that the functional group plays an important role in depressing the quartz is[SiF_(6)]^(2-).FTIR,XPS and contact angle analysis results show that[SiF_(6)]^(2-)is adsorbed only on the surface of ***,a thin hydrophilic SiOF layer is generated on the surface,which interferes with the adsorption of the collector on the surface of the *** phenomenon leads to a significant reduction in quartz's ***,SF has a good ability to separate feldspar from quartz by flotation.

Nonlinear circuits can show multistability when a magnetic flux-dependent memristor(MFDM) or a charge-sensitive memristor(CSM) is incorporated into a one branch circuit,which helps estimate magnetic or electric field *** this paper,two different kinds of memristors are incorporated into two branch circuits composed of a capacitor and a nonlinear resistor,thus a memristive circuit with double memristive channels is *** circuit equations are presented,and the dynamics in this oscillator with two memristive terms are ***,the memristive oscillator is converted into a memristive map by applying linear transformation on the sampled time series for the memristive *** Hamilton energy function for the memristive oscillator is obtained by using the Helmholtz theorem,and it can be mapped from the field energy of the memristive *** energy function for the dual memristive map is suggested by imposing suitable weights on the discrete energy *** dynamical behaviors of the new memristive map are investigated,and an adaptive law is proposed to regulate the firing mode in the memristive *** work will provide a theoretical basis and experimental guidance for oscillator-to-map transformation and discrete map energy calculation.
