Nondestructive and noninvasive neutron assays are essential applications of neutron *** resonance transmission analysis(NRTA)is a powerful nondestructive method for investigating the elemental composition of an *** back-streaming neutron line(Back-n)is a newly built time-of-flight facility at the China Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS)that provides neutrons in the eV to 300 MeV range.A feasibility study of the NRTA method for nuclide identification was conducted at the CSNS Back-n via two test *** results demonstrate that it is feasible to identify different elements and isotopes in samples using the NRTA method at *** study reveals its potential future applications.

Neutron-sensitive microchannel plates(nMCPs)have applications in neutron detection,including energy spectrum measurements,neutron-induced cross sections,and neutron imaging.10B-doped MCPs(B-MCPs)have attracted significant attention owing to their potential for exhibiting a high neutron detection efficiency over a large neutron energy *** spatial and temporal resolutions are useful for neutron energy-resolved ***,their practical applications still face many technical *** this study,a B-MCP with 10 mol%10B was tested for its response to wide-energy neutrons from eV to MeV at the Back-n white neutron source at the China Spallation Neutron *** neutron detection efficiency was calibrated at 1 eV,which is approximately 300 times that of an ordinary MCP and indicates the success of 10 B *** factors that caused the reduction in the detection efficiency were simulated and *** neutron energy spectrum obtained using B-MCP was compared with that obtained by other measurement methods,and showed very good consistency for neutron energies below tens of *** response is more complicated at higher neutron energy,at which point the elastic and nonelastic reactions of all nuclides of B-MCP gradually become *** is beneficial for the detection of neutrons,as it compensates for the detection efficiency of B-MCP for high-energy neutrons.

We operated a p-type point contact high purity germanium(PPCGe)detector(CDEX-1B,1.008 kg)in the China Jinping Underground Laboratory(CJPL)for 500.3 days to search for neutrinoless double beta(0νββ)decay of^(76)Ge.A total of 504.3 kg⋅day effective exposure data was *** anti-coincidence and the multi/single-site event(MSE/SSE)discrimination methods were used to suppress the background in the energy region of interest(ROI,1989–2089 keV for this work)with a factor of 23.A background level of 0.33 counts/(keV⋅kg⋅yr)was *** lower limit on the half life of^(76)Ge 0νββdecay was constrained as T_(1/2)^(0ν)>1.0×10^(23)yr(90%C.L.),corresponding to the upper limits on the effective Majorana neutrino mass:<3.2–7.5 eV.

Realtime trigger and localization of bursts are the key functions of GECAM,an all-sky gamma-ray monitor launched on 2020 December *** developed a multifunctional trigger and localization software operating in the CPU of the GECAM Electronic *** onboard software has the following features:high trigger efficiency for real celestial bursts with a suppression of false triggers caused by charged particle bursts and background fluctuation,dedicated localization algorithm optimized for both short and long bursts,and low time latency of the trigger information which is downlinked through the Global Short Message Communication service of the global BeiDou navigation *** paper provides a detailed description of the design and development of the trigger and localization software system for *** covers the general design,workflow,the main functions,and the algorithms used in the *** paper also includes on-ground trigger tests using simulated gamma-ray bursts generated by a dedicated X-ray tube,as well as an overview of the performance for real celestial bursts during its in-orbit operation.

目的评估NF实验室危险指标(LRINEC)评分、SIARI评分、坏死性软组织感染评分(NAS)诊断坏死性筋膜炎的效能。方法回顾性分析50例坏死性筋膜炎患者的临床资料(坏死性筋膜炎组),选取同期收治的102例蜂窝织炎患者为蜂窝织炎组。分析坏死性筋膜炎的临床特征,对比两组患者的临床资料,评估LRINEC评分、SIARI评分、NAS评分对两组患者的诊断效能。结果两组患者的发病部位、吸烟史、糖尿病病史、呼吸、白细胞、血红蛋白、血钠、血肌酐、尿素、血糖、C-反应蛋白、部分凝血活酶时间及住院时间比较,差异有统计学意义(P0.05)。结论LRINEC评分、NAS评分诊断坏死性筋膜炎和蜂窝织炎时有一定价值,但在最佳诊断临界值方面应降低标准以提升诊断效能。SIARI评分诊断坏死性筋膜炎和蜂窝织炎的效能较低。

In tauopathies,memory impairment positively strongly correlates with the amount of abnormal tau aggregates;however,how tau accumulation induces synapse impairment is ***,we found that human tau accumulation activated Signal Transduction and Activator of Transcription-1(STAT1)to inhibit the transcription of synaptic N-methyl-D-aspartate receptors(NMDARs).Here,overexpressing human P301L mutant tau(P301L-hTau)increased the phosphorylated level of Signal Transduction and Activator of Transcription-3(STAT3)at Tyr705 by JAK2,which would promote STAT3 translocate into the nucleus and activate ***,STAT3 was found mainly located in the *** study found that P301L-htau acetylated STAT1 to bind with STAT3 in the cytoplasm,and thus inhibited the nuclear translocation and inactivation of *** of STAT3 in STAT3^(flox/flox) mice mimicked P301L-hTau-induced suppression of NMDARs expression,synaptic and memory *** STAT3 rescued P301L-hTau-induced synaptic and cognitive deficits by increasing NMDARs *** study proved that STAT3 positively regulated NMDARs transcription through direct binding to the specific GAS element of NMDARs *** findings indicate that accumulated P301L-hTau inactivating STAT3 to suppress NMDARs expression,revealed a novel mechanism for tau-associated synapse and cognition deficits,and STAT3 will hopefully serve as a potential pharmacological target for tauopathies treatment.

Interleukin-37b(hereafter called IL-37)was identified as fundamental inhibitor of natural and acquired *** molecular mechanism and function of IL-37 in colorectal cancer(CRC)has been ***,we found that IL-37 transgenic(IL-37tg)mice were highly susceptible to colitis-associated colorectal cancer(CAC)and suffered from dramatically increased tumor burdens in ***,IL-37 is dispensable for intestinal mutagenesis,and CRC cell proliferation,apoptosis,and ***,IL-37 dampened protective cytotoxic T cell-mediated immunity in CAC and B16-OVA ***8^(+)T cell dysfunction is defined by reduced retention and activation as well as failure to proliferate and produce cytotoxic cytokines in IL-37tg mice,enabling tumor evasion of immune *** dysfunction led by IL-37 antagonizes IL-18–induced proliferation and effector function of CD8+T cells,which was dependent on SIGIRR(single immunoglobulin interleukin-1 receptor-related protein).Finally,we observed that IL-37 levels were significantly increased in CRC patients,and positively correlated with serum CRC biomarker CEA levels,but negatively correlated with the CD8+T cell infiltration in CRC *** findings highlight the role of IL-37 in harnessing antitumor immunity by inactivation of cytotoxic T cells and establish a new defined inhibitory factor IL-37/SIGIRR in cancerimmunity cycle as therapeutic targets in CRC.

Uppermost-internode diameter(UID)is a key morphological trait associated with spike development and yield potential in *** understanding of its genetic basis remains largely ***,quantitative trait loci(QTLs)for UID with high-density genetic maps were identified in five wheat recombinant inbred line(RIL)*** total,25 QTLs for UID were detected in five RIL populations,and they were located on chromosomes 1A,1D(3 QTL),2B(2),2D(3),3B,3D,4A,4B(3),4D,5A(5),5B(2),6B,and *** them,five major and stable QTLs(***-2CN-1D.1,***-2SY-1D,***-QZ-2D,***-SC-3D,and ***-AS-4 B)were identified from each of the five RIL populations in multiple ***-2CN-1D.1,***-2SY-1D and ***-SC-3D are novel *** Allele Specific PCR(KASP)markers tightly linked to them were further investigated for developing near-isogenic lines(NILs)carrying the major ***,candidate genes at these intervals harboring major and stable QTLs were predicted,and they were associated with plant development and water transportation in most *** of physical locations of the identified QTL on the‘Chinese Spring’reference genome showed that several QTLs including two major ones,***-2CN-1D.1 and ***-2 SY-1 D,are likely allelic confirming their validity and *** significant relationships detected between UID and other agronomic traits and a proper UID were ***,our results dissected the underlying genetic basis for UID in wheat and laid a foundation for further fine mapping and map-based cloning of these QTLs.
