Despite the well-documented impacts of single natural hazards like earthquakes, less is known about the psychological adaptation to multiple natural hazards, particularly in rural areas. This study investigated the associations of multiple natural hazards with depression among Chinese adults. Data were retrieved from the China Family Panel Studies conducted during 2010–2018. With a sample of 11,633 Chinese adults, multilevel logistic regression was employed to examine the relationships between natural hazard exposure and depression in the total sample and different age groups. Overall, experiencing four or more natural hazards was associated with a higher risk of being depressed. Regarding hazard type, the number of hydrometeorological and biological hazards was associated with a higher likelihood of depression, whereas the number of geologic and other hazards was related to a lower risk of depression. Middle-aged adults from villages were more likely to be affected by natural hazard exposure than older and younger adults. The findings of this study show that cumulative exposure to natural hazards can generate lasting effects on depressive symptoms, particularly in middle adulthood. The findings also suggest that older adults from rural areas may have accumulated more resilience to mitigate the adverse well-being effects of hazard events. Policies and interventions should enhance disaster awareness and preparation for aging residents from multi-hazard communities.

In the process of identifying parameters for a permanent magnet synchronous motor,the particle swarm optimization method is prone to being stuck in local optima in the later stages of iteration,resulting in low parameter accuracy.This work proposes a fuzzy particle swarm optimization approach based on the transformation function and the filled function.This approach addresses the topic of particle swarmoptimization in parameter identification from two perspectives.Firstly,the algorithm uses a transformation function to change the form of the fitness function without changing the position of the extreme point of the fitness function,making the extreme point of the fitness function more prominent and improving the algorithm’s search ability while reducing the algorithm’s computational burden.Secondly,on the basis of themulti-loop fuzzy control systembased onmultiplemembership functions,it is merged with the filled function to improve the algorithm’s capacity to skip out of the local optimal solution.This approach can be used to identify the parameters of permanent magnet synchronous motors by sampling only the stator current,voltage,and speed data.The simulation results show that the method can effectively identify the electrical parameters of a permanent magnet synchronous motor,and it has superior global convergence performance and robustness.

Clinical relevance of distolingual roots and periodontal status in mandibular first molars: a cross-sectional study employing CBCT analysis

Objectives:Distolingual root of the permanent mandibular first molar(PMFM-DLR)has been frequently reported,which may complicate the treatment of periodontitis.This study aimed to assess the morphological features of PMFM-DLR and investigate the correlation between the morphological features of PMFM-DLR and periodontal status in patients with Eastern Chinese ethnic background.Materials and methods:A total of 836 cone beam computed tomography(CBCT)images with 1497 mandibular first molars were analyzed to observe the prevalence of PMFM-DLR at the patients and tooth levels in Eastern China.Among them,complete periodontal charts were available for 69 Chinese patients with 103 teeth.Correlation and regression analyses were used to evaluate the correlation between the morphological features of DLR,bone loss,and periodontal clinical parameters,including clinical attachment loss(CAL),probing pocket depth(PPD),gingival recession(GR),and furcation involvement(FI).Results:The patient-level prevalence and tooth-level prevalence of DLR in mandibular first molars were 29.4%and 26.3%,respectively.Multiple linear regression analysis suggested that bone loss at the lingual site and CAL were negatively affected by the angle of separation between distolingual and mesial roots in the transverse section,while they were significantly influenced by age and the angle of separation between distobuccal and mesial roots in the coronal section.Conclusions:The prevalence of PMFM-DLR in Eastern China was relatively high in our cohort.The morphological features of DLR were correlated with the periodontal status of mandibular first molars.This study provides critical information on the morphological features of DLR for improved diagnosis and treatment options of mandibular molars with DLR.

The feature-based(FB) algorithms are widely used in modulation classification due to their low complexity. As a prerequisite step of FB, feature selection can reduce the computational complexity without significant performance loss. In this paper, according to the linear separability of cumulant features, the hyperplane of the support vector machine is used to classify modulation types, and the contribution of different features is ranked through the weight vector. Then, cumulant features are selected using recursive feature elimination(RFE) to identify the modulation type employed at the transmitter. We compare the performance of the proposed algorithm with existing feature selection algorithms and analyze the complexity of all the mentioned algorithms. Simulation results verify that the proposed RFE algorithm can optimize the selection of the features to realize modulation recognition and improve identification efficiency.

The purpose of this research is to investigate the hydration behavior and cementitious properties of the mixture of calcium carbonate and aluminate, and to explore whether it can be adopted as a new low-carbon cementitious material. The composite system of calcium carbonate and aluminate minerals is studied by measuring the component of hydration products, the hydration heat, setting time and compressive strength.The results prove that the composite system has certain cementitious properties and is feasible to prepare new low-carbon cement.

印度人民院选举与其国内政治生态演化密切相关。当前印度国内政治生态变化呈现三个方面新特点:印度政党力量格局进入印人党央地全面居优时期;印度教特性超越政治世俗主义并全面影响印度政治走向;央地关系呈现印中央政府对地方控制力加强态势。可以说,印度社会结构变迁、数字化工具发展以及政党竞争策略差异共同促成以上特点。印度政治生态新特点对印度内政外交均产生了重要影响。印人党虽对内提高政府施政效能但造成冲突性增加、主体民族凝聚力强化但民族宗教裂痕扩大、经济快速发展但不平等加剧。印度政治生态新特点使印度外交调整方向保持稳定;印人党主导的强势外交持续凸显,在周边塑造以印度为主的地区秩序;与美西方联系态势持续强化同时指向性更加明确;对华负面态度固化,中印关系短期内难有较大改善。

Abstract：Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is the leading cause of mortality and disability among young individuals in our society,and globally the incidence of TBI is rising sharply.Mounting evidence has indicated that apolipoprotein E (apoE:protein; APOE:gene) genotype influences the outcome after TBI.The proposed mechanism by which APOE affects the clinicopathological consequences of TBI is multifactorial and includes amyloid deposition,disruption of lipid distribution,dysfunction of mitochondrial energy production,oxidative stress and increases intracellular calcium in response to injury.This paper reviews the current state of knowledge regarding the influence of apoE and its receptors on cerebral amyloid betaprotein precursor metabolism following TBI。

由刚性结构制成的传统机器人存在灵活性差、环境适应能力低、人机交互不友好等缺点,而近些年受自然界生物启发研制的各类软体机器人则可克服这些缺点,但由于具有无限自由度,软体机器人的优化设计与在线控制尚面临诸多瓶颈.通过力学建模与数值仿真,则能够更好地理解其形变过程,进而指导软体机器人的设计与制造.本文聚焦最新的软体机器人动力学仿真研究,关注结构建模方法和交互仿真方法在理论计算中的应用.在结构建模方法中,从三维实体单元模型出发,介绍有限元方法的基本原理及其在静态模型、可微框架和可微投影动力学等策略中的应用;在板壳模型方面,探讨经典的基尔霍夫-勒夫板壳模型和离散壳模型.接着在结构建模中聚焦简化模型,包括基于一维降阶模型的细长结构仿真,其中涵盖了分段常曲率模型、Cosserat杆模型和绝对节点坐标方法等基本模型理论.通过典型工作的案例,探讨了一维简化模型的优势与缺点,并介绍了质量弹簧阻尼经典模型的操作方法以及最新的相关工作.在交互仿真技术中,围绕动力学仿真,涵盖外部环境交互和外场驱动交互两个方面,探讨了软体机器人动力学仿真中的挑战与应对策略.此项工作旨在为机器人开发者提供全新的动力学仿真思路,实现更逼真的仿真效果,进而为软体机器人的优化设计及在线控制提供理论支撑.
