For Fe layers covered by two-dimensional arrays of hexagonal close-packed polystyrene spheres which are hemispherically covered by Au films on the top,fine structures are observed in reflection,magneto-optical Kerr rotation and ellipticity *** Kerr rotation achieves peaks or exhibits a narrow resonance-like spectral lineshape near the reflection minima,depending on the mechanism of the reflection *** Kerr rotation peaks and the resonance-like lineshape both are shifted with the sphere *** phenomena can be attributed to the excitation of surface plasmon resonance and Fabry–Pérot modes.

Co nanowire arrays have been fabricated into anodic aluminum oxide templates at 20C by dc *** is shown that Co nanowires fabricated at lower and higher growth voltages have a hexagonal close packing (hcp) structure with preferred [100] orientation along the nanowire axis and a face-centered cubic (fcc) structure with preferred [220] orientation,*** increasing growth voltage,the room-temperature coercivity along the nanowire axis is enhanced *** fcc Co nanowires,the coercivity increases monotonically with increasing temperature while for hcp Co nanowires,a minimal coercivity is obtained along both parallel-to-axis and perpendicular-to-axis orientations with the temperature rising from 50K to *** abnormal temperature dependence of the coercivity can be attributed to the competition between the shape anisotropy and magnetocrystalline anisotropy as a function of temperature.

Measurements of magnetization precession are performed for L2_(1) and B2−ordered Co_(2)FeAl_(0.5)Si_(0.5) full Heusler alloy films using the time−resolved magneto-optical Kerr effect technique in the out-of-plan *** of the precession frequency on the external magnetic field can be fitted by the Landau–Lifshitz–Gilbert *** chirp parameters are close to each other for the L2_(1) and B2 structures,and decrease with the external magnetic field *** relaxation rate of the B2−ordered film is smaller than that of the L2_(1) one.

A series of 30-nm-thick epitaxial NixCo1-x （002） alloy films are fabricated by DC magnetron sputtering. MgO （002） and SrTiO3 （002） single substrates are used for x 〉 0.5 and x 〈 0.5, respectively. The magnetocrystalline anisotropy of NixCO1-x （002） alloy films is studied in the entire composition region for 0 ≤ x ≤ 1.0. When x decreases, the cubic magnetic anisotropy constant K1 changes sign from negative to positive atx = 0.96 and becomes negative again atx = 0.79. It becomes more negative as x decreases from 0.79 to 0. The uniaxial anisotropy Ku is smaller than the K1 by a factor of two orders.

The dependence of giant magnetoresistance of sputtered granular type(Co-Ag)/Ag multilayers on the thickness of Ag layers and magnetic layers with varying Co content in the magnetic layers was *** magnetoresistance ratioΔR/R was found to be enhanced by 2-7 times comparing with the single layer granular *** enhancement was explained by the antiferromagnetic coupling due to magnetostatic interaction between the Co clusters in neighboring magnetic layers.

Furniture is identified as a vital volatile organic compound(VOC)emission source in the indoor *** has become the most common raw and auxiliary fabric material for upholstered furniture,particularly with extensive consumption in sofas,due to its abundant resources and efficient *** being widely traded across the world,little research has been conducted on the VOCs released by leathermaterials and their health risk assessment in the indoor ***,this study investigated the VOC emissions of leather with different grades and the health risk of the inhalation *** on the ultra-fast gas phase electronic nose(EN)and GC-FID/Qtof,the substantial emissions of aliphatic aldehyde ketones(Aks),particularly hexanal,appear to be the cause of off-flavor in medium and low grade(MG and LG)sofa *** health risk assessment indicated that leather materials barely pose non-carcinogenic and carcinogenic effects to *** the abundance of VOC sources and the accumulation of health risks in the indoor environment,more stringent specifications concerning qualitative and quantitative content should be extended to provide VOC treatment basic for the manufacturing industry and obtain better indoor air quality.

Dear Editor,We report a case of Purtscher-like retinopathy in a patient with coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).Fundus examination revealed extensive peripapillary white retinal patches(Purtscher’s fleckens)and cotton-wool spots(CWS)with minor hemorrhage bilaterally,consistent with Purtscher-like *** coherence tomography angiography(OCTA)showed multiple irregular areas of capillary nonperfusion.

This paper reports a study on the hypocholesterolemic effect of the refined konjac meal (RKM) containing about 80% glucomannan prepared from the tubers of Amorphophallus konjac *** and female Sprague-Dawley rats, 5 weeks old, were divided into five groups and fed a normal basal diet, a hypercholesterolemic diet (control diet), and three test diets (RKM added to the control diet at levels of 2.5.5, and 10%, respectively) for 12 *** results obtained indicate that RKM could markedly lower the cholesterol levels in the serum and the liver of rats eating hypercholesterolemic *** the end of the 4th week of the feeding experiment, the serum cholesterol levels in the 5 and the 10% RKM groups and the liver cholesterol level in the 10% RKM group were significantly lower than those in the control *** the end of the 12th week, the serum cholesterol levels of all the three RKM groups were lowered to a normal level as was the liver cholesterol level of the 10% RKM *** lipolropic effect of RKM was also confirmed by histopathologic examination of the *** addition to the hypocholesterolemic effects, RKM diets also increased stool *** effects on the absorption and utilization of Ca, Fe, Zn, and Cu were found. 1990 Academic ***.
