Citrus fruits are rich in *** the carotenoid biosynthetic pathway,lycopene β-cyclase（LCYb,EC：1.14.-.-） is a key regulatory enzyme in the catalysis of lycopene to β-carotene,an important dietary precursor of vitamin A for human *** closely related lycopene β-cyclase cDNAs,designated CsLCYb1 and CsLCYb2,were isolated from the pulp of orange fruits（Citrus sinensis）.The expression level of CsLCYb genes is lower in the flavedo and juice sacs of a lycopeneaccumulating genotype Cara Cara than that in common genotype Washington,and this might be correlated with lycopene accumulation in Cara Cara *** CsLCYb1 efficiently converted lycopene into the bicyclic β-carotene in an Escherichia coli expression system,but the CsLCYb2 exhibited a lower enzyme activity and converted lycopene into the β-carotene and the monocyclic γ-*** tomato transformation studies,expression of CsLCYb1 under the control of the cauliflower mosaic virus（CaMV） 35S constitutive promoter resulted in a virtually complete conversion of lycopene into β-carotene,and the ripe fruits displayed a bright orange ***,the CsLCYb2 transgenic tomato plants did not show an altered fruit colour during development and *** fruits of the CsLCYb1 transgenic plants,most of the lycopene was converted into β-carotene with provitamin A levels reaching about 700 μg ***,most transgenic tomatoes showed a reduction in total carotenoid accumulation,and this is consistent with the decrease in expression of endogenous carotenogenic genes in transgenic ***,these results suggested that the cloned CsLCYb1 and CsLCYb2 genes encoded two functional lycopene β-cyclases with different catalytic efficiency,and they may have potential for metabolite engineering toward altering pigmentation and enhancing nutritional value of food crops.

Objective No previous studies have evaluated the association between dyslipidemia, alcohol drinking, and diabetes in an Inner Mongolian population. We aimed to evaluate the co-effects of drinking and dyslipidemia on diabetes incidence in this population. Methods The present study was based on 1880 participants from a population-based prospective cohort study among Inner Mongolians living in China. Participants were classified into four subgroups according to their drinking status and dyslipidemia. Multivariate logistic regression analysis and receiver operating characteristic （ROC） curves were used to evaluate the association between alcohol drinking, dyslipidemia, and diabetes. Results During the follow-up period, 203 participants were found to have developed diabetes. The multiva riable-adjusted odds ratios （95% confidence interval） for the incidence of non-dyslipidemia/drinkers, dyslipidemia/non-drinkers, and dyslipidemia/drinkers in diabetic patients were 1.40 （0.82-2.37）, 1.73 （1.17-2.55）, and 2.31 （1.38-3.87）, respectively, when compared with non-dyslipidemia/non-drinkers. The area under the ROC curve for a model containing dyslipidemia and drinking status along with conventional factors （AUC=0.746） was significantly （P=O.003） larger than the one containing only conventional factors （AUC=0.711）. Conclusion The present study showed that dyslipidemia was an independent risk factor for diabetes, and that drinkers with dyslipidemia had the highest risk of diabetes in the Mongolian population. These findings suggest that dyslipidemia and drinkin8 status may be valuable in predicting diabetes incidence.

In this report,a series of self-organized TiO_(2)nanotube arrays were prepared by anodization of titanium foil in mixed electrolytes composed of water,ethylene glycol,and NH_(4)*** photoelectrochemical(PEC)performance as a photoanode was characterized by the PEC water-splitting hydrogen(H_(2))generation *** internal relationship between the TiO_(2)nanotube arrays(TNTAs)morphology and their PECperformance was thoroughly *** results show that when the etching time is 10 hours,the length of the as-prepared TNTAs is about 20.78μm and the measured photocurrent density is around 1.25 m A·cm^(-2)with applied bias voltage 0.6 V(***/Ag Cl)under simulated sunlight irradiation,which is 976 times higher than that of the TiO_(2)substrate without nanotubes architecture(0.00128 m A×cm^(-2)).More interestingly,the results of the IPCEmeasurement show that the band-gap of the as-prepared TNTAs is reduced from 3.20 to 2.83 *** corresponding optical response limit is also extended from 400 nm to TiO_(2)nanotube arrays is 510 nm,which indicates that the increasement of the TNTAs PEC performance benefits from the great improvement of its utilization of both the UVand visible light irradiation.

[Objective] This paper was aimed to study the biological characteristics of Colletotrichum orbiculare（*** Mont.） Arx, and accomplish the preliminary screening the test of fungicides. [Method]The pathogen was isolated from the infected leaves of watermelon collected from greenhouse in Hainan Province. The biological characteristics of C. orbiculare and indoor toxicity of fungicides were studied. [Results] The mycelium grew fastest on the medium with leaf extract of watermelon. The optimum temperature for mycelial growth and spore germination was 28 and 30 ℃, and the optimum pH was 7-9 and 6-8, respectively. The continuous darkness condition was most suitable for mycelial growth. The lethal temperature of spore was 55 ℃ water bath for 10 min in water bath. The suitable carbon sources were maltose, L-arabinose and glucose, and the suitable nitrogen sources were yeast extract, beef extract and peptone. In the indoor toxicity determination, 32.5% Benzoic azoxystrobin SC, 50% Dichlorotetrakis WP and 10% Difenoconazole WG showed better inhibition effects against the mycelial growth of C. orbiculare, with the EC50 values of 0.018 0, 0.060 2 and 0.471 5 μg/ml, respectively. [Conclusion]The research provided theoretical basis for the control of watermelon anthracnose in watermelon fields.

Present a fault diagnosis model of fuzzy Petri nets for complicated electronic equipment-TV transmitters. The work is based on a large mount of data accumulated from real maintaining jobs of TV *** data are analyzed by means of Rough set and fault diagnosis knowledge is *** knowledge is expressed with decision *** decision tables are transformed into fault diagnosis fuzzy *** fuzzy rules are denoted with fuzzy Petri nets,which are used to model the fault diagnosis of the intelligent surveillance system of TV transmitters. The relationship between the system states and system faults of TV transmitters is well described by the approach, and easily is used to reason,analyze and determine the fault locations.

为了实现物体三维变形非接触式测量,设计了基于电子散斑干涉技术的三维变形测量系统。该系统采用了一分五型分束光纤,这根光纤在系统中起到分光和传光的作用,使系统所需器件比一般的设计系统要少。为了获得变形的量化数值,系统将电子散斑技术与相移技术结合在一起,由压电陶瓷引入相移,并采用"4+1"相移算法计算变形量。该系统可以实现面内及离面变形的独立测量,进而实现物体三维变形的测量。文中对带缺陷的木板进行了加热变形测量,检测其面内、离面变形的敏感度;然后对钢板进行了应力三维变形的测量,得其离面变形量为5μm。结果表明,设计的测量系统可以实现各种变形的测量。

Intracranial electroencephalography study in epileptic patients with dual pathology

Acommon dual pathology observed on presurgical magnetic resonance imaging （MRI） of epilepticpatients is extrahippocampal lesions combined with mesial temporal sclerosis. The hippocampus was highly vulnerable to many types of insults. However, it is difficult to detect subtle hippocampal atrophy in some patients. The most reliable method to confirm epileptogenicity is chronic intracranial electroencephalography （EEG） monitoring. In this study, we recorded intracranial EEG signals in 11 patients with dual *** Patient enrollment We evaluated ! 1 patients with a confirmed diagnosis of dual pathology in Yuquan Hospital, China between 2007 and 2010. The patients were satisfied with the following criteria：（1） MRI showed structural lesions in the extrahippocampal lobe; （2） a postoperative follow-up period lasting at least 24 months. For all 11 patients, both seizure frequency and impact on quality of life were judged as severe enough to justify presurgical evaluation using implanted electrodes. Detailed histories of prenatal, neonatal, and early childhood events were systematically reviewed through direct interviews with the patients. Patients were initially evaluated with noninvasive methods, including scalp EEG monitoring to capture spontaneous seizures and MRI. MRI was performed using a 1.5 T scanner and included axial images parallel to the long axis of the hippocampus. Ipsilateral and contralateral hippocampal images were visually compared to confirm mesial temporal sclerosis （MTS）. EEG recording and analysis Noninvasive data （scalp EEG and MRI） identified the mesial temporal region and a neocortical lesion site as the most likely ictal onset zones. Thus, all 11 patients were examined by implanted intracranial electrodes. To investigate the mesial temporal region, we used a stereo- eletroencephalography procedure.
