Cumulative evidence suggests that O-linkedβ-N-acetylglucosaminylation(OGlcNAcylation)plays an important regulatory role in pathophysiological *** the regulatory mechanisms of O-GlcNAcylation in tumors have been gradually elucidated,the potential mechanisms of O-GlcNAcylation in bone metabolism,particularly,in the osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stromal cells(BMSCs)remains *** this study,the literature related to O-GlcNAcylation and BMSC osteogenic differentiation was reviewed,assuming that it could trigger more scholars to focus on research related to OGlcNAcylation and bone metabolism and provide insights into the development of novel therapeutic targets for bone metabolism disorders such as osteoporosis.

Grain yield and N uptake of maize in response to increased plant density under reduced water and nitrogen supply conditions

The development of modern agriculture requires the reduction of water and chemical N fertilizer *** the planting density can maintain higher yields,but also consumes more of these restrictive ***,whether an increased maize density can compensate for the negative effects of reduced water and N supply on grain yield and N uptake in the arid irrigated areas remains *** study is part of a long-term positioning trial that started in 2016.A split-split plot field experiment of maize was implemented in the arid irrigated area of northwestern China in 2020 to *** treatments included two irrigation levels:local conventional irrigation reduced by 20%(W1,3,240 m^(3)ha^(-1))and local conventional irrigation(W2,4,050 m^(3)ha^(-1));two N application rates:local conventional N reduced by 25%(N1,270 kg ha^(-1))and local conventional N(360 kg ha^(-1));and three planting densities:local conventional density(D1,75,000 plants ha^(-1)),density increased by 30%(D2,97,500 plants ha-1),and density increased by 60%(D3,120,000 plants ha^(-1)).Our results showed that the grain yield and aboveground N accumulation of maize were lower under the reduced water and N inputs,but increasing the maize density by 30% can compensate for the reductions of grain yield and aboveground N accumulation caused by the reduced water and N *** water was reduced while the N application rate remained unchanged,increasing the planting density by 30% enhanced grain yield by 13.9% and aboveground N accumulation by 15.3%.Under reduced water and N inputs,increasing the maize density by 30% enhanced N uptake efficiency and N partial factor productivity,and it also compensated for the N harvest index and N metabolic related enzyme *** with W2N2D1,the N uptake efficiency and N partial factor productivity increased by 28.6 and 17.6%under W1N1D2.W1N2D2 had 8.4% higher N uptake efficiency and 13.9% higher N partial factor productivity than W2N2D1.W1N2D2 improv

Correlating dynamic structural transformation of catalysts with the surface intermediate species under operating conditions is critical for updating the understanding of structure–performance ***,we probe the electrochemical potentialdependent surface structures and adsorbed intermediates on PtRu binary alloy nanocatalysts to revisit its synergistic mechanisms for CO electrooxidation enhanced ***-situ spectral characteristics by using modified shell-isolated nanoparticle-enhanced Raman spectroscopy,show that in acidic solution,when the potential is positively scanned from 0.1 V to 1.5 V relative to reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE),the surface of the alloy catalyst evolves from metallic PtRu to adsorbed oxygen gradually covering and accumulating on Ru sites(denoted as PtRuO_(x),x≤2),forming segregated RuO_(2),and finally forming a threedimensional oxide layer(denoted as 3D PtRuO_(4)).Moreover,molecular evidence associated with periodic density functional theory calculations reveals that electronic effects promote ruthenium to become more oxidizable and *** particular,we found here that ^(*)O and ^(*)OH at surface RuO_(x) sites are highly efficient CO oxidation active species in comparison to the same entities adsorbed on metallic Ru *** work sheds light on the complex surface dynamic process of practical Pt-based binary nanocatalysts and improves the understanding of synergistic mechanism for the development of fuel cell devices.

This study was conducted to investigate the household energy consumption in rural districts in northern Hunan and to help explore the sustainable and ecological energy *** were used to acquire the details of energy consumption,and the electricity equivalent calculation was used in the energy statistics in four *** energy consumption in these four villages is influenced by the economic condition,geographic position and landform and the local *** traditional biomass energy and coal briquette are the primary energy source for cooking and heating,but they are used in a very low efficiency and result in poor *** sustainability,further measures should be taken to optimize the energy consumption with the efficient use of biomass energy,coal and electricity.

Diamond/aluminium composites have attracted attention in the field of thermal management of electronic packaging for their excellent *** order to solve the interfacial problem between diamond and aluminium,a novel process combining pressure infiltration with vacuum-assisted technology was proposed to prepare diamond/aluminum *** effect of diamond particle size on the microstructure and properties of the diamond/Al-12Si composites was *** results show that the diamond/Al-12Si composites exhibit high relative density and a uniform *** thermal conductivity and coefficient of thermal expansion increase with increasing particle size,while the bending strength exhibits the opposite *** the average diamond particle size increases from 45μm to 425μm,the thermal conductivity of the composites increases from 455 W·m^(-1)·K^(-1)to 713 W·m^(-1)·K^(-1)and the coefficient of thermal expansion increases from 4.97×10^(-6)K^(-1)to 6.72×10^(-6)K^(-1),while the bending strength decreases from 353 MPa to 246 *** research demonstrates that high-quality composites can be prepared by the vacuum-assisted pressure infiltration process and the thermal conductivity of the composites can be effectively improved by increasing the diamond particle size.

BACKGROUND Laparoscopic rectal cancer radical surgery is a complex procedure affected by various ***,the existing literature lacks standardized parameters for the pelvic region and soft tissues,which hampers the establishment of consistent *** To comprehensively assess 16 pelvic and 7 soft tissue parameters through computerized tomography(CT)-based three-dimensional(3D)reconstruction,providing a strong theoretical basis to address challenges in laparoscopic rectal cancer radical *** We analyzed data from 218 patients who underwent radical laparoscopic surgery for rectal cancer,and utilized CT data for 3D pelvic *** anatomical points were carefully marked and measured using advanced 3D modeling *** analyze the pelvic and soft tissue parameters,we emp-loyed statistical methods including paired sample t-tests,Wilcoxon rank-sum tests,and correlation *** The investigation highlighted significant sex disparities in 14 pelvic bone parameters and 3 soft tissue *** demonstrated larger measurements in pelvic depth and overall curvature,smaller measurements in pelvic width,a larger mesorectal fat area,and a larger anterior-posterior abdominal *** contrast,females exhibited wider pelvises,shallower depth,smaller overall curvature,and an increased amount of subcutaneous fat ***,there were no significant sex differences observed in certain parameters such as sacral curvature height,superior pubococcygeal diameter,rectal area,visceral fat area,waist circumference,and transverse abdominal *** The reconstruction of 3D CT data enabled accurate pelvic measurements,revealing significant sex differences in both pelvic and soft tissue *** study design offer potential in predicting surgical difficulties and creating personalized surgical plans for male rectal cancer patients with a potentially“difficult pelvis”,ultimately improving surgical ***

Recently,three-dimensional(3D)conductive frameworks have been chosen as the host for composite lithium(Li)metal anode because of their exceptional electrical conductivity and remarkable thermal and electrochemical ***,Li tends to accumulate on the top of the 3D frameworks with homogenous lithiophilicity and Li dendrite still *** work firstly designed a bimetallic metal-organic framework(MOF)(CuMn-MOF)derived Cu_(2)O and Mn_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles decorated carbon cloth(CC)substrates(CC@Cu_(2)O/Mn_(3)O_(4))to fabricate a composite Li *** to the synergistic effects of lithiophilic Cu_(2)O and Mn_(3)O_(4),the CC@Cu_(2)O/Mn_(3)O_(4)@Li symmetrical cell can afford a prolonged cycling lifespan(1400 h)under an ultrahigh current density and areal capacity(6 mA·cm^(-2)/6 mAh·cm^(-2)).When coupled with the LiFePO_(4)(LFP)cathode,the LFP||CC@Cu_(2)O/Mn_(3)O_(4)@Li full cell demonstrated a superior performance of 89.7 mAh·g^(-1) even at an extremely high current density(10 C).Furthermore,it can also be matched well with LiNi_(0.5)Co^(0).2Mn_(0.3)O_(2)(NCM523)***,to explain the excellent performances of the CC@Cu_(2)O/Mn_(3)O_(4)@Li composite anode,an intermittent model was also *** study offers a novel model that can enhance our comprehension of the Li deposition behavior and pave the way to attain stable and safe Li metal anodes by employing bimetallic MOF-derived materials to construct 3D frameworks.

Adenosine exerts its dual functions of homeostasis and neuromodulation in the brain by acting at mainly 2 G-protein coupled receptors,called A1 and A2A *** adenosine A2A receptor(A2AR)antagonists have been clinically pursued for the last 2 decades,leading to final approval of the istradefylline,an A2AR antagonist,for the treatment of OFF-Parkinson's disease(PD)*** approval paves the way to develop novel therapeutic methods for A2AR antagonists to address 2 major unmet medical needs in PD and traumatic brain injury(TBI),namely neuroprotection or improving *** this review,we first consider the evidence for aberrantly increased adenosine signaling in PD and TBI and the sufficiency of the increased A2AR signaling to trigger neurotoxicity and cognitive *** further discuss the increasing preclinical data on the reversal of cognitive deficits in PD and TBI by A2AR antagonists through control of degenerative proteins and synaptotoxicity,and on protection against TBI and PD pathologies by A2AR antagonists through control of ***,we provide the supporting evidence from multiple human prospective epidemiological studies which revealed an inverse relation between the consumption of caffeine and the risk of developing PD and cognitive decline in aging population and Alzheimer's disease ***,the convergence of clinical,epidemiological and experimental evidence supports the validity of A2AR as a new therapeutic target and facilitates the design of A2AR antagonists in clinical trials for disease-modifying and cognitive benefit in PD and TBI patients.
