p53 is a well-known tumor suppressor. However, the regulatory mechanism（s） for p53 expression in B lymphoma cells, and the possible role of p53 in the development of the radioresistance in tumor cells are largely unknown. A human B lymphoma cell line, Karpas1106 （k1106）, was used as a model of radioresistance. Apoptosis of k1106 cells was determined using flow cytometry. Expression of p53 was assessed using real time RT-PCR and western blotting. The results showed that irradiation at 8 Gy induced apoptosis in up to 40% of k1106 cells. At the same time, the irradiation markedly increased IL-6 production of the k1106 cells. When k1106 cells were cocultured with regulatory T cells （Tregs） and irradiated, the rate of apoptotic k1106 cells was significantly reduced, indicating an acquired resistance to irradiation. IL-6 derived from the irradiation-treated k1106 cells induced IL-17 expression in Tregs. The IL- 17＋Foxp3＋ T cells suppressed p53 expression in k1106 cells. Collectively, irradiated k1106 cells induce the expression of IL-17 in Tregs, which interferes with the expression of p53 protein in k1106 cells and thereby represses irradiation-triggered apoptosis in k1106 cells.

This study investigates and quantifies some possible sources affecting the position of impact points of small caliber spin-stabilized projectiles(such as 12.7 mm bullets).A comparative experiment utilizing the control variable method was designed to figure out the influence of tiny eccentric centroids on the *** study critically analyzes data obtained from characteristic parameter measurements and precision *** also combines Sobol’s algorithm with an artificial intelligence algorithmdAdaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference Systems(ANFIS)ein order to conduct global sensitivity analysis and determine which parameters were most *** results indicate that the impact points of projectiles with an entry angle of 0°deflected to the left to that of projectiles with an entry angle of 90°.The difference of the mean coordinates of impact points was about 12.61 cm at a target range of 200 *** analysis indicated that the entry *** initial position of mass eccentricityehad a notable *** global sensitivity analysis,the significance of the effect of mass eccentricity was confirmed again and the most influential factors were determined to be the axial moment and transverse moment of inertia(Izz Iyy),the mass of a projectile(m),the distance between nose and center of mass along the symmetry axis for a projectile(Lm),and the eccentric distance of the centroid(Lr).The results imply that the control scheme by means of modifying mass center(moving mass or mass eccentricity)is promising for designing small-caliber spin-stabilized projectiles.

The enzyme-mimicking catalytic activity of single-atom nanozymes has been widely used in tumor ***,research on alleviating metabolic diseases,such as hyperglycemia,has not been ***,we found that the single-atom Ce-N_(4)-C-(OH)_(2)(SACe-N_(4)-C-(OH)_(2))nanozyme promoted glucose absorption in lysosomes,resulting in increased reactive oxygen species production in hepG2 ***,the SACe-N_(4)-C-(OH)_(2)nanozyme initiated a cascade reaction involving superoxide dismutase-,oxidase-,catalase-,and peroxidase-like activity to overcome the limitations associated with the substrate and produce•OH,thus improving glucose intolerance and insulin resistance by increasing the phosphorylation of protein kinase B and glycogen synthase kinase 3β,and the expression of glycogen synthase,promoting glycogen synthesis to improve glucose intolerance and insulin resistance in high-fat diet-induced hyperglycemic ***,these results demonstrated that the novel nanozyme SACeN_(4)-C-(OH)_(2)alleviated the effects of hyperglycemia without evident toxicity,demonstrating its excellent clinical application potential.

A Natural Ecological Wastewater Treatment System （NEWTS） is usually built on natural terrain with necessary topography modification to improve water flowing route and pattern, and then the topography modified NEWTS should also have a reasonable water storage volume and hydraulic retention time so as to achieve the anticipated water purification effect. In this study, the dynamic mesh technique based on the finite element method and element storativity coefficients was presented to develop a two-dimensional hydrodynamic and water quality model, which was used to optimize the design of NEWTS under the dynamic land-water boundary due to various water storage volume. The models were employed in the optimized design of NEWTS from a large abandoned coal mine, which purifies the polluted water flowing into a large water storage lake, as part of the East Route South-to-North Water Transfer Project in China. Specifically, the natural topography modification scheme was presented, and further, a reasonable water storage volume and hydraulic residence time was obtained, based on the reasonable estimation of roughness coefficient and pollutant removal rate of the NEWTS with phragmites communis.
