CCL9/CCR1 axis-driven chemotactic nanovesicles for attenuating metastasis of SMAD4-deficient colorectal cancer by trapping TGF-β

SMAD4 deficiency in colorectal cancer(CRC)is highly correlated with liver metastasis and high mortality,yet there are few effective precision therapies ***,we show that CCR1^(+)-granulocytic myeloid-derived suppressor cells(G-MDSCs)are highly infiltrated in SMAD4-deficient CRC via CCL15/CCR1 and CCL9/CCR1 axis in clinical specimens and mouse models,*** excessive TGF-β,secreted by tumor-infiltrated CCR1^(+)-G-MDSCs,suppresses the immune response of cytotoxic T lymphocytes(CTLs),thus facilitating ***,we develop engineered nanovesicles displaying CCR1 and TGFBR2 molecules(C/T-NVs)to chemotactically target the tumor driven by CCL9/CCR1 axis and trap TGF-βthrough TGF-β-TGFBR2 specific *** C/T-NVs counteract CCR1^(+)-G-MDSC infiltration through competitive responding CCL9/CCR1 axis.C/T-NVs-induced intratumoral TGF-βexhaustion alleviates the TGF-β-suppressed immune response of ***,C/T-NVs attenuate liver metastasis of SMAD4-deficient *** further exploration,high expression of programmed cell death ligand-1(PD-L1)is observed in clinical specimens of SMAD4-deficient *** C/T-NVs with anti-PD-L1 antibody(aPD-L1)induces tertiary lymphoid structure formation with sustained activation of CTLs,CXCL13^(+)-CD4^(+)T,CXCR5^(+)-CD20^(+)B cells,and enhanced secretion of cytotoxic cytokine interleukin-21 and IFN-γaround tumors,thus eradicating metastatic *** strategy elicits pleiotropic antimetastatic immunity,paving the way for nanovesicle-mediated precision immunotherapy in SMAD4-deficient CRC.

Lowering the energy consumption in silicon photonic devices and systems [Invited]

We review current silicon photonic devices and their performance in connection with energy *** critical issues are identified to lower energy consumption in devices and systems: reducing the influence of the thermo-optic effect, increasing the wall-plug efficiency of lasers on silicon, optimizing energy performance of modulators, and enhancing the sensitivity of photodetectors. Major conclusions are(1) Mach–Zehnder interferometer-based devices can achieve athermal performance without any extra energy consumption while microrings do not have an efficient passive athermal solution;(2) while direct bonded III–V-based Si lasers can meet system power requirement for now, hetero-epitaxial grown III–V quantum dot lasers are competitive and may be a better option for the future;(3) resonant modulators, especially coupling modulators, are promising for low-energy consumption operation even when the power to stabilize their operation is included;(4) benefiting from high sensitivity and low cost, Ge/Si avalanche photodiode is the most promising photodetector and can be used to effectively reduce the optical link power budget. These analyses and solutions will contribute to further lowering energy consumption to meet aggressive energy demands in future systems.

Colorectal cancer(CRC)is one of the most common cancers around the world,and it is one of the leading causes of cancer-related death.1 Although anti-EGFR therapy and immune checkpoint inhibitor(ICl)therapy are becoming more and more important for colorectal therapy,however,clinical outcomes of current treatments for metastatic CRC,especially with ICls,have been shown to be affected by the status of ***,KRAS mutation status detection has become a very important diagnostic factor for managing metastatic CRC patients.

Luminescence enhancement of CaMoO_(4):Eu^(3+) phosphor by charge compensation using microwave sintering method

CaMoO_(4):Eu^(3+)and CaMoO_(4):Eu^(3+),A+(A=Li,Na,K)phosphors for light-emitting diode(LED)applications have been prepared by microwave sintering method(MSM),and their structure and luminescence properties are *** influences of microwave reaction time and concentration of different kinds of charge compensation A+and Eu^(3+)on luminescence have also been *** samples emit a red luminescence at 615 nm attributed to the^(5)D0→^(7)F2 transition of Eu^(3+)under 464 nm *** is observed that adding charge compensation A+in the sample synthesis increases luminescence *** optimized sample made with 32 mol%Li+and 32 mol%Eu^(3+)has an enhancement factor of 4 in photoluminescence compared to the sample made without charge *** CIE(Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage)coordinates of Ca0.36MoO_(4):0.32Eu^(3+),0.32Li+are x=0.661 and y=0.339,which indicate that the obtained phosphor can be a promising red color candidate for white LED fabrications.

The quest for the room-temperature optical transistor based on nonlinearities in single atoms or molecules is attracting a lot of *** this work,a single-photon emitter in cubic silicon carbide is verified that can operate as an optical switch at room temperature under pulsed green laser illumination with a near-infrared pulsed laser as the control *** demonstrated an ultrafast and reversible optical modulation with a high photoluminescence intensity suppression ratio up to 97.9%and a response time as short as 287.9±5.7 *** current development provides insights for high-precision and ultrafast optical switches,with possibilities for integration with emerging electronic installations to realize more intelligent photoelectric integrated devices.

在增强现实领域,实现虚拟对象光照一致性一直是个难题,针对赋予虚拟对象阴影信息时阴影检测效率低的问题,提出一种基于阴影区域构建阴影体实现虚拟对象光照一致性的方法。首先,采用改进的超像素分割(Ⅰ-SLIC)算法对图像进行处理得到更稳定的超像素集合,并根据相邻超像素中心的颜色距离相似度进行超像素合并,以降低后续处理复杂度。然后,采用高斯混合背景模型对分割后的图像进行阴影检测,利用阴影区域与光照参数构建阴影体。最后,根据变换矩阵完成虚拟对象的注册并结合阴影体进行渲染。实验结果表明,所提方法实现了对虚拟对象的阴影渲染,大大提高了增强现实应用带来的真实感,对比其他方法,在时间效率上具有明显优势。

In this paper,we study the distributionally robust joint chance-constrained Markov decision *** the logarithmic transformation technique,we derive its deterministic reformulation with bi-convex terms under the moment-based uncertainty *** cope with the non-convexity and improve the robustness of the solution,we propose a dynamical neural network approach to solve the reformulated optimization *** results on a machine replacement problem demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed dynamical neural network approach when compared with the sequential convex approximation approach.

针对目前存在的多视图聚类方法大多是对聚类准确性进行研究而未着重于提升算法效率,从而难以应用于大规模数据的现象,本文提出一种结合地标点和自编码的快速多视图聚类算法。利用加权PageRank排序算法选出每个视图中最具代表性的地标点。使用凸二次规划函数从数据中直接生成多个视图的相似度矩阵,求得多个视图的共识相似度矩阵以有效利用多个视图包含的具有一致性和互补性的聚类有效信息,将获得的具有低存储开销性能的共识相似度矩阵输入自编码器替代拉普拉斯矩阵特征分解,在联合学习框架下同时更新自编码器参数和聚类中心从而在降低计算复杂度的同时保证聚类精度。在5个多视图数据集上的实验证明了本文算法相对于其他多视图算法在运行时间上的优越性。
