Characterization of size-resolved aerosol hygroscopicity and liquid water content in nanjing of the Yangtze River Delta

Aerosol hygroscopicity and liquid water content(ALWC)have important influences on the environmental and climate effect of *** this study,we measured the hygroscopic growth factors(GF)of particles with dry diameters of 40,80,150,and 200 nm during the wintertime in *** the GF-derived hygroscopicity parameter(κ_(gf))and ALWC increased with particle size,but displayed differing diurnal variations,withκ_(gf)peaking around the midday,while ALWC peaking in the early ***,ammonium and oxygenated organic aerosols(OOA)were found as the chemical components mostly strongly correlated with ALWC.A closure study suggests that during midday photo-oxidation and nighttime high ALWC periods,theκof organic aerosols(κ_(org))was underestimated when using previous ***,we re-constructed parameterizations forκ_(org)and the oxidation level of organics for these periods,which indicates a higher hygroscopicity of photochemically formed OOA than the aqueous OOA,yet both being much higher than the generally assumed OOA ***,in a typical high ALWC episode,concurrently increased ALWC,nitrate,OOA as well as aerosol surface area and mass concentrations were observed under elevated ambient *** strongly indicates a coupled effect that the hygroscopic secondary aerosols,in particular nitratewith strong hygroscopicity,led to large increase in ALWC,which in turn synergistically boosted nitrate and OOA formation by heterogeneous/aqueous *** interaction may represent an important mechanism contributing to enhanced formation of secondary aerosols and rapid growth of fine particulate matter under relatively high RH conditions.

The synergistic effect of triple ion beams is investigated by simultaneous and scquential irradiations of gold, hydrogen and helium ions on the low activation martensitie steel （CLAM） developed in China. The depth profile measurements of the positron annihilation Doppler broadening S parameter are carried out as a function of slow- positron beam energy to examine the produced radiation damage. The synergistic effect of displacement damage and hydrogen and helium on the formation of radiation damage is clearly observed. In the preset case ,this effect suppresses the radiation damage in the CLAM steel due to the helium and/or hydrogen filling of vacancy clusters.

An ab initio calculation of the electric-field gradient(EFG)at the site of a phosphorous impurity substituting an Al atom in α-Al_(3)O_(2) is carried out using the WIEN2k code with the full-potential linearized augmented plane wave plus local orbital method(LAPW+lo)in the frame of density functional *** atomic lattice relaxations caused by the implanted impurities were calculated for two different charged states to well describe the electronic structure of the doped *** EFG at the site of the phosphorous impurity in the charged supercell calculated with the exchange-correlation potential of the Wu-Cohen generalized gradient approximation(WC-GGA)is 0.573×10^(21) V/m^(2).Then,the nuclear quadrupole moment of the I=3 state in ^(28)P is deduced to be 137 mb from the quadrupole interaction frequency of 190 kHz measured recently by theβ-NQR method.

Hypoxia-preconditioned bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells protect neurons from cardiac arrest-induced pyroptosis

Cardiac arrest can lead to severe neurological impairment as a result of inflammation,mitochondrial dysfunction,and post-cardiopulmonary resuscitation neurological *** preconditioning has been shown to improve migration and survival of bone marrow–derived mesenchymal stem cells and reduce pyroptosis after cardiac arrest,but the specific mechanisms by which hypoxia-preconditioned bone marrow–derived mesenchymal stem cells protect against brain injury after cardiac arrest are *** this end,we established an in vitro co-culture model of bone marrow–derived mesenchymal stem cells and oxygen–glucose deprived primary neurons and found that hypoxic preconditioning enhanced the protective effect of bone marrow stromal stem cells against neuronal pyroptosis,possibly through inhibition of the MAPK and nuclear factor κB ***,we transplanted hypoxia-preconditioned bone marrow–derived mesenchymal stem cells into the lateral ventricle after the return of spontaneous circulation in an 8-minute cardiac arrest rat model induced by *** results showed that hypoxia-preconditioned bone marrow–derived mesenchymal stem cells significantly reduced cardiac arrest–induced neuronal pyroptosis,oxidative stress,and mitochondrial damage,whereas knockdown of the liver isoform of phosphofructokinase in bone marrow–derived mesenchymal stem cells inhibited these *** conclude,hypoxia-preconditioned bone marrow–derived mesenchymal stem cells offer a promising therapeutic approach for neuronal injury following cardiac arrest,and their beneficial effects are potentially associated with increased expression of the liver isoform of phosphofructokinase following hypoxic preconditioning.

Overcurrent Mechanism and Suppression Control for MMC Arms in Hybrid Cascaded HVDC System

The hybrid cascaded HVDC system employs a line commutated converter(LCC)as the rectifier and an LCC in series with multiple paralleled modular multilevel converters(MMCs)as the *** arms are susceptible to overcurrent following a severe AC fault at the receiving end,however,its fundamental mechanism has not been totally ***,this article explores the overcurrent characteristics on MMC arms,in terms of both the DC and AC *** from the DC overcurrent component induced by the commutation failure(CF)of the inverter LCC,the AC overcurrent component is also *** dramatically depends on the coupling effects among the AC systems of the inverter ***,corresponding suppression strategies are proposed,which are applicable to different receiving-end AC fault ***,the time-domain simulation results from PSCAD/EMTDC validate the effectiveness of the proposed overcurrent suppression *** is also demonstrated that the presented methods can not only suppress overcurrent for MMC arms,but also reduce the imbalanced power between two sides,as well as improve the dynamic performances of the entire system.

The effect of rolling schedules on the ridging resistance of ultra-thin ferritic stainless steel(FSS)430 foil was evaluated by studying the microstructure and *** results show that specimens processed with three-pass cold rolling under the reductions of 40%,40%and 31%,respectively,exhibit improved ridging resistance owing to the microstructural refinement and the texture structure optimization.A nearly 40%reduction of ridging height can be achieved using the proposed rolling schedule compared to the other two rolling *** addition,the effect of annealing temperature after cold rolling on the ridging resistance of FSS 430 foil is also found to be crucial,and an optimal annealing temperature of 900℃ is obtained for FSS 430 foil with high ridging ***,the improvement in the ridging resistance of FSS 430 foil can be attributed to the reduction in the fraction of{001}and{114}components by optimization of the rolling and annealing processes.

Construction Monitoring and Analysis of Asymmetric Prestressed Concrete Bridge Crossing Multiple-Line Railways

Complex bridge structures designed and constructed by humans often necessitate extensive on-site execution,which carries inherent ***,a variety of engineering practices are employed to monitor bridge *** paper presents a case study of a large-span prestressed concrete(PC)variable-section continuous girder bridge in China,proposing a feedback system for construction monitoring and establishing a finite element(FE)analysis model for the entire *** alignment of the completed bridge adheres to the initial design expectations,with maximum displacement and pre-arch differences from the ideal state measuring 6.39 and 17.7 mm,respectively,which were less than the 20 mm limit required by the ***,the stress monitoring showed that the maximum compressive stress was 10.44 MPa,which was 7.5%different from the finite element results,and better predicted the most unfavorable possible *** results demonstrate that a scientifically rigorous construction monitoring and feedback system can ensure the safety of bridge construction and meet the expected construction *** findings presented in this paper provide valuable insights for bridge construction monitoring practices.
