Effect of oxygen enrichment on sintering behavior of high proportion vanadium-titanium magnesite concentrates

To achieve high-efficiency utilization of complex and unmanageable iron-containing minerals,the effects of oxygen enrichment on productivity,yield,flame front speed,exhaust gas peak temperature,and desulphurization reaction of the vanadium-titanium magnetite sintering process as well as sinter tumble index and mineralogy were clarified,with oxygen enrichment concentrations ranging from 21 to 29 vol.%.Results indicated that with increasing the oxygen enrichment concentration from 21 to 27 vol.%,the flame front speed increased from 30.3 to 40.0 mm min^(-1),the yield enhanced from 72%to 77%,and the productivity augmented from 1.83 to 2.67t m^(-2)h^(-1);in the meantime,the tumble index was improved from 73.7%to 77.9%,and the exhaust gas peak temperature rose from 376.4 to 484.8℃.The main reason for the improvement in sintering properties was the increased combustibility of fuels and the generation of proper liquid phase that improved the permeability of the packed *** improved sinter strength is mainly due to the increase in the phase fraction of silico-ferrites of calcium and *** addition,oxygen enrichment sintering could significantly increase the desulphurization level of vanadium-titanium magnetite sinter and the rate of desulphurization reaction during sintering process.

Factors Associated with Effectiveness of Treatment and Reproductive Outcomes in Patients with Thin Endometrium Undergoing Estrogen Treatment

Background： Thin endometrium is associated with poor reproductive outcomes; estrogen treatment can increase endomctrial thickness （EMT）. The aim of this retrospective cohort study was to investigate the factors influencing the effectiveness of estrogen treatment and reproductive outcomes after the treatment in patients with thin endometrium. Methods： Relevant clinical data of 101 patients with thin endometrium who had undergone estrogen treatment were collected. Possible factors influencing the effectiveness of treatment were analyzed retrospectively by logistic regression analysis. Eighty-seven infertile women without thin endometrium who had undergone assisted reproduction served as controls. The cases and controls were matched for age, assisted reproduction method, and number of embryos transferred. Reproductive outcomes of study and control groups were compared using Student＇s t-test and the Chi-square test. Results： At the end of estrogen treatment, EMT was ≥8 mm in 93/101 patients （92.1%）. Effectiveness of treatment was significantly associated with maximal pretreatment EMT （P = 0.017） and treatment duration （P = 0.004）. The outcomes of assisted reproduction were similar in patients whose treatment was successful in increasing EMT to ≥8 mm and the control group. The rate of clinical pregnancy in patients was associated with the number of good-quality embryos transferred in both fresh （P = 0.005） and frozen-thawed （P = 0.000） embryo transfer cycles. Conclusions： Thinner EMT before estrogen treatment requires longer treatment duration and predicts poorer treatment outcomes. The effectiveness of treatment depends on the duration of estrogen administration. Assisted reproductive outcomes of patients whose treatment is successful （i.e., achieves an EMT ≥8 mm） are similar to those of controls. The quality of embryos transferred is an important predictor of assisted reproductive outcomes in patients treated successfully with exogenous estrogen.

Regime Behavior in the Sea Surface Temperature-Cloud Radiative Forcing Relationships over the Pacific Cold Tongue Region

Previous analyses on the estimates of water vapor and cloud-related feedbacks in the tropics usually use observations over the Earth Radiation Budget Experiment （ERBE） period （1985-89）. To examine the sample dependence of previous estimates, the authors extend the analysis to two additional periods： 1990-94 and 1995-99. The results confirm our hypothesis, i.e., the values of the feedbacks depend on the period of data coverage. The differences in the feedbacks from cloud radiative forcings （CRFs） estimated from the three periods are particularly significant. Two possible causes for these differences are proposed. First, a regime behavior in the CRFs-Sea Surface Temperature Anomaly （SSTA） rela- tionship over the cold tongue region is revealed： when SSTA is below -0.5℃, the CRF anomalies are insensitive to the SSTA; when the SSTA is between -0.5℃ and 2.0℃, the CRF anomalies are positively correlated with the SSTA; however, when the SSTA exceeds 2.0℃, the CRF anomalies decrease with the SSTA. This regime behavior is due to the regime behavior of cirrostratus and deep convective clouds. Second, the CRFs-SSTA relationship is regulated by remote forcings. Warming of the far eastern equatorial Pacific would reduce the water vapor convergence over the central Pacific by weakening the trade wind over the southeastern Pacific, thereby reducing the feeding of moisture to the convective flow. The results suggest that CRFs-SSTA relationships during ENSO events are nonlinear and strongly depend on the magnitude and the spatial distribution of the SSTA.

Plastic wastes eventually reach water environments as primary (direct discharges)and secondary microplastics (broken down into many tiny particles by light, heat, mechanical impacts, and other factors), i.e., plastic particles with a particle size of 1μm to 5 mm [1].

Efficacy of comprehensive remote ischemic conditioning in elderly patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction underwent primary percutaneous coronary intervention

BACKGROUND Remote ischemic conditioning(RIC)is used to protect against myocardial ***,there is no adequate evidence for comprehensive RIC in elderly patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction(STEMI).This study aimed to test whether comprehensive RIC,started pre-primary percutaneous coronary intervention(PPCI)and repeated daily on 1-30 days post-PPCI,can improve myocardial salvage index(SI),left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),Kansas City Cardiomyopathy Questionnaire Clinical Summary Score(KCCQ-CSS)and 6-min walk test distance(6MWD)in elderly patients with acute STEMI during 12 months *** 328 consenting elderly patients were randomized to receive standard PPCI plus comprehensive RIC(the treatment group)or standard PPCI(the control group).SI at 5-7 days after PPCI,LVEF,left ventricular end-diastolic volume index(LVEDVI),left ventricular end-systolic volume index(LVESVI),KCCQ-CSS,6MWD and adverse events rates were measured and *** SI was significantly higher in the treatment group[interquartile range(IQR):0.38-0.66,P=0.037].There were no significant differences in major adverse events at 12 *** the differences of LVEDVI,LVESVI and LVEF between the treatment group and the control group did not reach statistical significance at 6 months and 12 months,LVEF tended to be higher,LVEDVI tended to be lower in the treatment *** KCCQ-CSS was significantly higher in the treatment group at 1 month(IQR:46.5-87,P=0.001)and 12 months(IQR:55-93,P=0.008).There was significant difference in 6MWD between the treatment group and the control group(IQR:258-360 ***:250-345,P=0.002)at 1 month and(IQR:360-445 ***:345-432,P=0.035)at 12 months.A modest correlation was found between SI and LVEF(r=0.452,P<0.01),KCCQ-CSS(r=0.440,P<0.01)and 6MWD(r=0.384,P<0.01)respectively at 12 *** The comprehensive RIC can improve SI,KCCQ-CSS and *** may be an adjunctive therapy to PPCI in elderly patients with STEMI

针对灰度图像的二维提取以及运动图像的跟踪问题,本文提出一种强约束拓扑自适应snake模型。该方法采用正交网格对图像和snake曲线进行离散化,约束snake节点只能沿网格线从一个网格点运动到下一个网格点,从而简化了计算过程。通过节点拆分获得拓扑变换能力,自动检测和处理拓扑冲突。通过对模拟图像和临床医学图像进行目标边缘提取的实验,结果表明模型具有较强的目标捕捉能力、拓扑结构变换能力和较快的运算速度。

针对X射线心血管造影图像的后处理问题,本文提出一种采用两个近似正交的单面X射线造影图像序列对冠状动脉的三维形状和运动参数进行定量测量的方法。该方法首先采用snake技术从两个角度的图像中重建出各时刻的三维血管轴线。根据三维重建和二维提取的结果,完成对血管形状参数(如长度和腔径)的测量。然后将血管运动场的估计转化为对相邻时刻间血管分支轴线的逐点匹配,并获得位移幅值和运动轨迹等重要参数。最后分别采用模型的X射线图像、计算机模拟数据和临床图像对该方法进行了验证。实验结果表明,该方法是可行的。
