In this paper, using the variable coefficient generalized projected Ricatti equation expansion method, we present explicit solutions of the (2.1)-dimensional variable coefficients Broer-Kaup (VCBK) equations. These solutions include Weierstrass function solution, solitary wave solutions, soliton-like solutions and trigonometric function solutions. Among these solutions, some are found for the first time. Because of the three or four arbitrary functions, rich localized excitations can be found.

Nonlinear parametric vibration of axially accelerating viscoelastic beams is inves-tigated via an approximate analytical method with numerical confirmations. Based on nonlinear models of a finite-small-stretching slender beam moving at a speed with a periodic fluctuation, a solvability condition is established via the method of multiple scales for subharmonic resonance. Therefore, the amplitudes of steady-state periodic responses and their existence conditions are derived. The amplitudes of stable steady-state responses increase with the amplitude of the axial speed fluctuation, and decrease with the viscosity coefficient and the nonlinear coefficient. The minimum of the detuning parameter which causes the existence of a stable steady-state periodic response decreases with the amplitude of the axial speed fluctuation, and increases with the viscosity coefficient. Nu-merical solutions are sought via the finite difference scheme for a nonlinear par-tial-differential equation and a nonlinear integro-partial-differential equation. The calculation results qualitatively confirm the effects of the related parameters pre-dicted by the approximate analysis on the amplitude and the existence condition of the stable steady-state periodic responses. Quantitative comparisons demonstrate that the approximate analysis results have rather high precision.

TiO-2.thin films have bee deposited on p-Si(111) substrates by pulsed-laser ablation of metallic Ti target in the O-3 ambient. The current-voltage and capacitance-voltage of the Al/TiO-2.Si capacitors are measured. The results show that the dielectric constant of thin film after being annealed at 700℃ is found to be 46, and the border trap density and the interface state density at the TiO-2.p-Si interface are 1.8×10 12.cm -2.and 2.10 12.eV -1·cm -2. respectively. The conduction mechanisms of as-deposited films are also discussed.

A phenomenological momentum-independent(MID) model is constructed to describe the equation of state(EOS) for isospin asymmetric nuclear matter,especially the density dependence of the nuclear symmetry energy Esym(ρ).This model can reasonably describe the general properties of the EOS for symmetric nuclear matter and the symmetry energy predicted by both the sophisticated isospin and momentum dependent MDI model and the Skyrme-Hartree-Fock *** find that there exists a nicely linear correlation between Ksym and L as well as between J0/K0 and K0,where L and Ksym represent,respectively,the slope and curvature parameters of the symmetry energy at the normal nuclear density ρ0,while K0 and J0 are,respectively,the incompressibility and the third-order derivative parameter of symmetric nuclear matter at ρ*** correlations together with the empirical constraints on K0,L and Esym(ρ0) lead to an estimation of -477 MeV Ksat,2.-2.1 MeV for the second-order isospin asymmetry expansion coefficient for the incompressibility of asymmetric nuclear matter at the saturation point.

The bulk parameters characterizing the energy of symmetric nuclear matter and the symmetry energy defined at normal nuclear density ρ0 provide important information on the equation of state (EOS) of isospin asymmetric nuclear matter. While significant progress has been made in determining some lower order bulk characteristic parameters, such as the energy E0(ρ0) and incompress ibility K0 of symmetric nuclear matter as well as the symmetry energy Esym(ρ0) and its slope parameter L, yet the higher order bulk characteristic parameters are still poorly known. Here, we analyze the correlations between the lower and higher order bulk char acteristic parameters within the framework of Skyrme Hartree-Fock energy density functional and then estimate the values of some higher order bulk characteristic parameters. In particular, we obtain J0 = (-355±95) MeV and I0 = (1473±680) MeV for the third order and fourth-order derivative parameters of symmetric nuclear matter at ρ0 and Ksym = (-100 ± 165) MeV, Jsym = (2.4 ± 385) MeV, Isym = (-1309 ± 2.2.) MeV for the curvature parameter, third-order and fourth-order derivative parameters of the symmetry energy at ρ0, using the empirical constraints on E0(ρ0), K0, Esym(ρ0), L, and the isoscalar and isovector nucleon effective masses. Furthermore, our results indicate that the three parameters E0(ρ0), K0, and J0 can reasonably characterize the EOS of symmetric nuclear matter up to 2.0 while the symmetry energy up to 2.0 can be well described by Esym(ρ0), L, and Ksym.

We briefly reviewed the experimental study on a-delayed proton decays near the proton drip line published by our group during the period of 1996―2.04, namely the first observation of the a-delayed proton decays of 9 new nuclides in the rare-earth region and the new measurements of a-delayed proton decays of 5 nuclides in the mass ～90 region near the N = Z line with the aid of the “p-?” coincidence in combination with a He-jet tape transport system. In the meantime some important experimental technique details were supplemented. The experimental results, including the half -lives, spins, parities, deformations and production reaction cross sections for the 14 nuclei were summarized and compared with the current nuclear-model predictions, and then the following points were represented. (1) The experimental half-lives for 85Mo and 92.h as well as the predicted “waiting point” nuclei 89Ru and 93Pd are 5―10 times longer than the theoretical predictions given by M?ller et al. using a macroscopic-microscopic model. It considerably influences the predictions of the abundances of the nuclides produced in the rp-process. (2. The current-model predictions are not consistent with the experimental assignments of the spins and parities for the proton drip-line nuclei 142.o and 12.Pm. However, the nuclear potential energy surface (PES) calculated by using a Woods- Saxon-Strutinsky method reproduced the experimental results. (3) The Alice code overestimated the production reaction cross sections of the studied 9 rare-earth nuclei by one order of magnitude or two, while HIVAP code overestimated them by one order of magnitude approximately.

We investigate Noether symmetries and conservation laws of the discrete mechanico-electrical systems with nonregular *** operators of discrete transformation and discrete differentiation to the right and left are introduced for the *** on the invariance of discrete Hamilton action on nonregular lattices of the systems with the dissipation forces under the infinitesimal transformations with respect to the time,generalized coordinates and generalized charge quantities,we work out the discrete analog of the generalized variational *** this formula we derive the discrete analog of generalized Noether-type identity,and then we present the generalized quasi-extremal equations and properties of these equations for the *** also obtain the discrete analog of Noether-type conserved laws and the discrete analog of generalized Noether theorems for the *** we use an example to illustrate these results.

This paper reports the study of ancient potteries unearthed from the Guangfulin site in shanghai. From the external features of these potteries, archeologists can classify them into two different cultural types: Liangzhu culture (local culture) and a new culture which might be derived elsewhere, but they can not recognize whether they were produced in the same place. Proton induced X-ray emission (PIXE) and instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA) were used to measure the chemical compositions of the samples and the results were analyzed using multivariate statistics. We found that the two methods can complement each other and their database can be mutually referenced in the study of ancient potteries. Experimental results show that the compositions of the potteries from the two cultural types are different, which means that the materials for ancient potteries of new culture originate from elsewhere. This supports the archaeologists’ speculation that a group of ancient people migrated to shanghai from some other places 4000 years ago.
