One new dimeric(1) and two monomeric sesquiterpene lactones(5 and 13), together with 10 known compounds(2-4, 6-12), were isolated from Artemisia heptapotamica collected in Almaty region of Kazakhstan. All compounds were isolated from this plant for the first time. The structures of the new compounds were mainly achieved by extensive analysis of MS, 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic data, and ECD spectrum as well. The inhibitory activities of all isolates against activation of NF-κB induced by LPS were assessed on a THP1-Dual cell model. Some of them showed strong inhibitory activity with IC50 values ranging from 2 to 25μmol·L^-1.

Treatment of lake sediments with salts is a promising approach for preventing phosphorus release from sediments. Five 35-d treatments of undisturbed sediment cores in the East Lake, Wuhan, China were applied under anoxic conditions： nothing added （control）, Al2（SO4）3 added, FeCl3 added, CaCl2 added, and NaNO3 added. To identify changes in the P binding sites in the sediment caused by the treatments, different P binding forms were extracted from the sediment before and after the treatments. We found that the mean P release rates for anoxic treatments with Al2（SO4）3, FeCl3, CaCl2 and NaNO3 were -0.6, 0.03, 0.6 and 2.6 mg/（m^2·d）, respectively, while the P release rate with no additives was 7.3 mg/（m^2·d）. In suboxic conditions, the concentration of total phosphorus （TP ge 657 mg/kg） in sediment was much lower than that of untreated sediment （TPaverage 688 mg/kg） and treatments with salts （TP（Al2（SO4）3） 793 mg/kg, TP（FeCl3） 781 mg/kg, TP（NaNO3） 802 mg/kg, TP（CaCl2） 747 mg/kg）. We also found that adding CaCl2 prevented P release because of apatite formation and because PCa （Ca bound P） increased at the sediment surface. Addition of Fe^3＋ and NO3^- to the sediment increased the amounts of PFe. Mn （Redox-sensitive P, mostly Fe and Mn compounds）, since iron oxide has the ability to combine P. Addition of Al2（SO4）3 increased the fraction of PAl, Fe （P bound to metal oxides （Al, Fe）） and decreased the P and Fe in the water above the anoxic sediment, showing the greater ability orAl in binding P. The results showed that Al2（SO4）3, FeCl3, CaCl2 and NaNO3 all had an effect in controlling phosphorus release. The effect was related to the forms of phosphorus existing in the sediment before treatment and the forms resulting after adding the four reagents. The combination of Al^3＋ or Fe^3＋ with NO3^- promises to be a reasonable chemical treatment for increasing the P retention capacity of sediments in eutrophic lakes. To better understand the failure behaviours and strength of bolt-reinforced blocky rocks,large scale extensive laboratory experiments are carried out on blocky rock-like specimens with and without rockbolt *** results show that both shear failure and tensile failure along joint surfaces are observed but the shear failure is a main controlling factor for the peak strength of the rock mass with and without *** rockbolts are necked and shear deformation simultaneously happens in bolt reinforced rock *** the joint dip angle increases,the joint shear failure becomes more *** number of rockbolts has a significant impact on the peak strain and uniaxial compressive strength(UCS),but little influence on the deformation modulus of the rock *** the Winkler beam model to represent the rockbolt behaviours,an analytical model for the prediction of the strength of boltreinforced blocky rocks is *** agreement between the UCS values predicted by proposed model and obtained from experiments suggest an encouraging performance of the proposed *** addition,the performance of the proposed model is further assessed using published results in the literature,indicating the proposed model can be used effectively in the prediction of UCS of bolt-reinforced blocky rocks.

Artemisinin is a novel effective antimalarial drug extracted from the medicinal plant Artemisia annua L. Owing to the tight market and low yield of artemisinin, there is great interest in enhancing the production of artemisinin. In the present study, farnesyi diphosphate synthase （FPS） was overexpressed in high-yield A. annua to Increase the artemisinin content. The FPS activity in transgenic A. ennue was twoto threefold greater than that In non-transgenic A. annua. The highest artemisinin content in transgenic A. annua was approximately 0.9% （dry weight）, which was 34.4% higher than that in non-transgenic A. annua. The results demonstrate the regulatory role of FPS in artemisinin biosynthesis.

Comparison of Clinical Effects of Au-Pt Based and Ni-Cr Based Porcelain Crowns

Objective To compare the long-term clinical effects of two kinds of crowns and bridges made of porcelain fused to Au-Pt alloy and Ni-Cr alloy. Methods A total of 131 teeth (64 patients) were rehabilitated using porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns, among which 59 were rehabilitated with Au-Pt alloy metal ceramic crown and 72 with Ni-Cr alloy metal ceramic crown. The porcelain fracture, shade, marginal adaptation, gingival discoloration, and gingival status after finishing restoration and 36 months of follow-up were evaluated. Results After 36 months of restoration, porcelain fused to Au-Pt alloy crown showed better clinical effects than porcelain fused to Ni-Cr alloy crown in shade, marginal adaptation, gingival discoloration, as well as gingival status (all P<0.05). Conclusion The Au-Pt alloy ceramic crown is superior to Ni-Cr alloy ceramic crown in long-term clinical effects.

This paper proposes an anomalous behavior detection model based on cloud computing. Virtual Machines （VMs） are one of the key components of cloud Infrastructure as a Service （laaS）. The security of such VMs is critical to laaS security. Many studies have been done on cloud computing security issues, but research into VM security issues, especially regarding VM network traffic anomalous behavior detection, remains inadequate. More and more studies show that communication among internal nodes exhibits complex patterns. Communication among VMs in cloud computing is invisible. Researchers find such issues challenging, and few solutions have been proposed--leaving cloud computing vulnerable to network attacks. This paper proposes a model that uses Software-Defined Networks （SDN） to implement traffic redirection. Our model can capture inter-VM traffic, detect known and unknown anomalous network behaviors, adopt hybrid techniques to analyze VM network behaviors, and control network systems. The experimental results indicate that the effectiveness of our approach is greater than 90%, and prove the feasibility of the model.

The use of 3D food printing as an alternative to manufacturing customized food is gaining *** this study,functional powders of guava leaf (GL),green tea (GT),and barley sprouts (BS) were tested as edible ink ingredients for printing cheesecake,and their physicochemical and functional properties were *** size and water and oil holding capacities were highest in GL powder,whereas the water-soluble index was highest in *** functional powder-added cheesecake,pseudoplastic and shear-thinning behavior was observed which is ideal for 3D *** shear modulus (1.87 kPa) of the control cheesecake (without functional powder) was significantly increased to 5 kPa or higher by adding functional *** in vitro glycemic index was lowest in GL cheesecake,whereas antioxidant activity and polyphenol content were highest in GT *** and GT powders would be beneficial as an edible ink to improve functional properties,such as antioxidant activity for GT and blood-glucose-lowering effect for BS,with enhanced printability and textural stability of 3D printed cheesecake.

(R)-N-(β-Trichlorogermyl propionyl)thiazolidine-2-thione-4-carboxylic methyl ether(1) and its sesquioxide(2) were synthesized. The crystal structure of 1 was determined by means of X-ray diffraction analysis, which shown that the >CO and >CS groups are located in the opposite sides of C(4)—N—C(3) bond with transconfiguration. The electronic structures and optimized configurations of compounds 1 and 2 were studied with MNDO method.
