Black rockfish(Sebastes schlegelii)has evolved viviparous reproduction mode.Different from the oviparous fishes,the spermatozoa of black rockfish are stored on the surface of ovarian follicle for over four months until the egg mature in ovary,while the adaptive evolution of fertilization-related genes remains to be studied.In the present study,based on the genome and transcriptome information of black rockfish,a total of 10 hyaluronidase genes were identified by phylogenetic and sequence analyses,including hyal1,hyal2,hyal3,hyal4,hyal6 and spam1a,spam1b,spam1c and spam1d.The spam1 subfamilies,including spam1a,spam1b,spam1c and spam1d,were significantly expanded compared to other species.The adaptive evolution of hyaluronidase was further investigated by selection pressure analysis of branch model and branch site model.The results showed that only spam1 subfamily was positively selected with a large number of positive selection sites,and the evolution rate was significantly higher thanthose of other teleosts.Two positively selected sites,LYS-171 and GLY-164,were located in the neutral hyaluronidase activity domain,which was pivotal for SPAM1 to participate in enzymatic hydrolysis of the extracellular hyaluronic acid matrix and mediate acrosome reaction in mammals.Furthermore,spam1 was mainly expressed in spermatocytes,secondary spermatocytes,and spermatids of testis,whereas it was not found in metamorphic sperm and mature sperm based on the spatiotemporal expression analysis.All results indicated that spam1 might originate from the testis and might be an adaptation of viviparous trait in black rockfish.

Improving lipid production by Rhodotorula glutinis for renewable fuel production based on machine learning

Microbial lipid fermentation encompasses intricate complex cell growth processes and heavily relies on expert experience for optimal production.Digital modeling of the fermentation process assists researchers in making intelligent decisions,employing logical reasoning and strategic planning to optimize lipid fermentation.It this study,the effects of medium components and concen-trations on lipid fermentation were investigated,first.And then,leveraging the collated data,a variety of machine learning algorithms were used to model and optimize the lipid fermentation process.The models,based on artificial neural networks and support vector machines,achieved R?values all higher than 0.93,ensuring accurate predictions of the fermentation process.Multiple linear regression was used to evaluate the respective target parameter,which were affected by the medium components of lipid fermentation.Lastly,single and multi-objective optimiza-tion were conducted for lipid fermentation using the genetic algorithm.Experimental results demonstrated the maximum biomass of 50.3 g·L^(-1) and maximum lipid concentration of 14.1 g:L^(-1) with the error between the experimental and predicted values less than 5%.The results of the multi-objective optimization reveal the synergistic and competitive relationship between biomass,lipid concentration,and conversion rate,which lay a basis for in-depth optimization and amplification.

Multi-process production occurs in the iron and steel industry,supporting‘dual carbon'target:An in-depth study of CO_(2)emissions from different processes

Reducing CO_(2)emissions of the iron and steel industry,a typical heavy CO_(2)-emitting sector is the only way that must be passed to achieve the‘dual-carbon’goal,especially in China.In previous studies,however,it is still unknown what is the difference between blast furnace basic oxygen furnace(BF-BOF),scrap-electric furnace(scrap-EF)and hydrogen metallurgy process.The quantitative research on the key factors affecting CO_(2)emissions is insufficient There is also a lack of research on the prediction of CO_(2)emissions by adjusting industria structure.Based on material flow analysis,this study establishes carbon flow diagrams o three processes,and then analyze the key factors affecting CO_(2)emissions.CO_(2)emissions of the iron and steel industry in the future is predicted by adjusting industrial structure The results show that:(1)The CO_(2)emissions of BF-BOF,scrap-EF and hydrogen metallurgy process in a site are 1417.26,542.93 and 1166.52 kg,respectively.(2)By increasing pellet ratio in blast furnace,scrap ratio in electric furnace,etc.,can effectively reduce CO_(2)emissions(3)Reducing the crude steel output is the most effective CO_(2)reduction measure.There is still 5.15×10^(8)-6.17×10^(8) tons of CO_(2)that needs to be reduced by additional measures.

Strengthening effect of prefabrication(10-12) tensile twinning on AZ80+0.4%Ce magnesium alloy and inhibition mechanism of discontinuous precipitation

This paper provided an effective method to further improve the mechanical properties of the AZ80+0.4%Ce magnesium alloy wheel spoke. The effect of high strength and ductility was obtained with a yield strength of 295.36 MPa, an elongation of 10%, by the combination of pre-deformation(7% deformation) and two-stage aging treatment(120 ℃/9 h + 175 ℃/24 h). The evolution of the microstructure and properties of the alloy was explored under the coupling conditions of different pre-deformation degrees and multi-stage aging. The results show that, pre-deformation introduced a large number of(■) tensile twinning and dislocations, which greatly promoted the probability of continuous precipitates(CPs) appearing. On the contrary, the discontinuous precipitates(DPs) were limited by the vertical and horizontal twin structure. As a result, the pre-nucleation method of two-stage aging increased the proportion of CPs by 34%-38%. Owing to the DPs was effectively suppressed, the alloy's yield strength has been greatly improved. Besides, under multi-stage aging, the twin boundaries induce protruding nucleation to form static recrystallization by hindering the migration of dislocations, and the matrix swallows the twins, then the texture gradually tilts from the two poles to the basal plane. As an important supplement, the grain refinement and oblique texture promoted the improvement of the yield strength of the component.

Reversibly Cross-Linking Polyimide and Cyclophosphazene Toward Closed-Loop Recyclable Plastics with High Mechanical Strength,Excellent Flame Retardancy,and Chemical Resistance

Traditional flame-retardant plastics are technically difficult to chemically recycle.The development of newtypes of flame-retardant plastics that are intrinsically capable of being closed-loop recycled and are sufficiently robust and stable to satisfy their practical application is urgently needed.In this study,closed-loop recyclable flame-retardant plastics with high mechanical strength and excellent chemical resistance are fabricated by cross-linking amino-terminated polyimide(PI-NH_(2))and aldehyde-terminated cyclophosphazene(CP-CHO)with imine bonds.The resultant flame-retardant plastic,which is denoted as PI-CP,exhibits a tensile strength of∼115.6 MPa,Young’s modulus of∼2.5 GPa,and glass transition temperature of 316°C.In the PI-CP plastic,the imine bonds are isolated within hydrophobic microenvironments generated by the rigid and hydrophobic polyimide chains and the benzene ring of cyclophosphazenes.As a result,the PI-CP plastics are highly stable in highly acidic and basic aqueous solutions and other commonly used organic solvents.The PI-CP plastic shows outstanding flame retardancy with a limiting oxygen index value of 48.8%.More importantly,the PI-CP plastic can be depolymerized to generate the original PI-NH_(2)and CPCHO monomers in high yields(∼97%)and purity.The recovered monomers can be used to refabricate the original plastics,establishing highly efficient polymer-monomer-polymer circulation and a sustainable plastics economy.

BACKGROUND Sleep deprivation is a prevalent issue that impacts cognitive function.Although numerous neuroimaging studies have explored the neural correlates of sleep loss,inconsistencies persist in the reported results,necessitating an investigation into the consistent brain functional changes resulting from sleep loss.AIM To establish the consistency of brain functional alterations associated with sleep deprivation through systematic searches of neuroimaging databases.Two metaanalytic methods,signed differential mapping(SDM)and activation likelihood estimation(ALE),were employed to analyze functional magnetic resonance imaging(fMRI)data.METHODS A systematic search performed according to PRISMA guidelines was conducted across multiple databases through July 29,2023.Studies that met specific inclusion criteria,focused on healthy subjects with acute sleep deprivation and reported whole-brain functional data in English were considered.A total of 21 studies were selected for SDM and ALE meta-analyses.RESULTS Twenty-one studies,including 23 experiments and 498 subjects,were included.Compared to pre-sleep deprivation,post-sleep deprivation brain function was associated with increased gray matter in the right corpus callosum and decreased activity in the left medial frontal gyrus and left inferior parietal lobule.SDM revealed increased brain functional activity in the left striatum and right central posterior gyrus and decreased activity in the right cerebellar gyrus,left middle frontal gyrus,corpus callosum,and right cuneus.CONCLUSION This meta-analysis consistently identified brain regions affected by sleep deprivation,notably the left medial frontal gyrus and corpus callosum,shedding light on the neuropathology of sleep deprivation and offering insights into its neurological impact.

Kármán vortex street in a spin–orbit-coupled Bose–Einstein condensate with PT symmetry

The dynamics of spin–orbit-coupled Bose–Einstein condensate with parity-time symmetry through a moving obstacle potential is simulated numerically. In the miscible two-component condensate, the formation of the Kármán vortex street is observed in one component, while ‘the half-quantum vortex street' is observed in the other component. Other patterns of vortex shedding, such as oblique vortex dipoles, V-shaped vortex pairs, irregular turbulence, and combined modes of various wakes, can also be found. The ratio of inter-vortex spacing in one row to the distance between vortex rows is approximately0.18, which is less than the stability condition 0.28 of classical fluid. The drag force acting on the obstacle potential is simulated. The parametric regions of Kármán vortex street and other vortex patterns are calculated. The range of Kármán vortex street is surrounded by the region of combined modes. In addition, spin–orbit coupling disrupts the symmetry of the system and the gain-loss affects the local particle distribution of the system, which leads to the local symmetry breaking of the system, and finally influences the stability of the Kármán vortex street. Finally, we propose an experimental protocol to realize the Kármán vortex street in a system.

无穷维系统主要由偏微分方程描述,可是大部分用偏微分方程描述的控制系统,无论是单纯的数值实验还是需要应用到实际的问题中去,都需要对方程进行有限数值离散.本文考虑了端点带有质量的波动方程在边界反馈控制下半离散格式的一致指数稳定性.首先,原闭环系统通过降阶法变成低阶的等价系统,通过一种间接Lyapunov函数方法证明了降阶等价的连续系统是一致指数稳定的.其次,对等价系统空间变量离散得到半离散的差分格式.平行于连续系统,间接Lyapunov函数方法证明了半离散系统的一致指数稳定性.数值实验证明了基于降阶法的一致指数稳定性和经典半离散格式的非一致指数稳定性.

Encapsulated Fe(IV)Molecular Complex for Photoacoustic Imaging

stable neutral Fe(IV)complex(Fe-HDCL),readily accessible on the g scale,was found to possess high water solubility and good stability(<5%degradation over 4 h upon photoirradiation).Fe-HDCL is green and absorbs light effectively in the visible region(500–800 nm)with aλmax at 650 nm(ɛ=7830 M^(−1)cm^(−1)).Fe-HDCL also exhibits photothermal(PT)behavior comparable to single-wall carbon nanotubes in the solid state.In aqueous solution,high PT conversion(η=72.6%)is achieved,and a strong hyperthermia-based inhibition of cell growth is observed upon subjecting Fe-HDCL to near-infrared 730 nm laser photoirradiation.Initial biological studies in vitro and in vivo confirmed that Fe-HDCL is biocompatible,clears readily,and allows the visual detection of blood vessels.Upon subjecting mice to intravenous injection at low doses(e.g.,50μmol·kg^(−1)),Fe-HDCL also permits the photoacoustic(PA)imaging of kidneys and the evaluation of renal fibrosis in mouse models.In addition,Fe-HDCL allows PA-based imaging of brain tissues,presumably reflecting its ability to pass through the blood-brain barrier.We thus propose that Fe-HDCL has a role to play as PT agent and as a photodiagnostic.
