Optimized are the label extinction ratio and dispersion compensation of an optical label switching transmission system,which employs 40-Gb/s return to zero differential phase shift keying(RZ-DPSK)payload labeled with 622-Mb/s amplitude shift keying(ASK)control *** our scheme,the receiver sensitivities of payload and label achieves-27.8dBm and-33.5dBm,*** transmitted over 40km,60km and 80km single mode fiber(SMF)(with dispersion compensation)respectively,the payload can be recovered with no power penalty,while the label can be recovered with less than 2dB penalty.

Mid-wavelength infrared planar photodiodes were demonstrated,in which both the epitaxy growth of InAs/GaSb superlattices and the thermal diffusion of p-type dopant were performed in production-scale metal-organic chemical vapor deposition *** formation of a planar homojunction was confirmed by secondary ion mass spectroscopy and itsⅠ-Ⅴcharacteristics.A cut-off wavelength around 5μm was determined in 77 K optical characterization,and photo-current as high as 600 nA was collected from a reverse-biased planar diode of 640μm *** preliminary results were obtained despite the structural degradation revealed by x-ray diffraction,and we attribute the degradation to the concert of thermal annealing and high Zn concentration behind the diffusion front.

High-quality InSb epilayers are grown on semi-insulting GaAs substrates by metalorganic chemical vapor deposition using an indium pre-deposition technique. The influence of Ⅴ/Ⅲ ratio and indium pre-deposition time on the surface morphology, crystalline quality and electrical properties of the InSb epilayer is systematically investigated using Nomarski microscopy, atomic force microscopy, high-resolution x-ray diffraction, Hall measurement and contactless sheet resistance measurement. It is found that a 2-μm-thick InSb epilayer grown at 450℃ with a Ⅴ/Ⅲ ratio of 5 and an indium pre-deposition time of 2.5s exhibits the optimum material quality, with a root-meansquare surface roughness of only 1.2 nm, an XRD rocking curve with full width at half maximum of 358 arcsec and a room-temperature electron mobility of 4.6 × 10~4 cm^2/V·s. These values are comparable with those grown by molecular beam epitaxy. Hall sensors are fabricated utilizing a 600-nm-thick InSb epilayer. The output Hall voltages of these sensors exceed 10 mV with the input voltage of 1 V at 9.3 mT and the electron mobility of 3.2 × 10~4 cm^2/V·s is determined, which indicates a strong potential for Hall applications.

Inthomycins are polyketide antibiotics which contain a terminal carboxamide group and a triene chain. Inthomycin B(1) and its two new analogues 2 and 3 were isolated from the crude extract of Streptomyces pactum L8. Identification of the gene cluster for inthomycin biosynthesis as well as the ^(15)N-labeled glycine incorporation into inthomycins are described. Combined with the gene deletion of the rare P450 domain in the NRPS module, a formation mechanism of carboxamide moiety in inthomycins was proposed via an oxidative release of the assembly chain assisted by the P450 domain.

AIM To clarify the prognostic significance of preoperative albumin-to-alkaline phosphatase ratio(AAPR) in cholangiocarcinoma(CCA) subjects receiving *** In this retrospective study, we included 303 CCA patients receiving surgery without preoperative therapy between 2002 and 2014. Clinicopathological characteristics(including AAPR) were analyzed to determine predictors of postoperative overall survival and recurrence-free survival(RFS). In addition,univariate and multivariate Cox proportional hazards models were conducted,followed by application of time-dependent receiver operating curves to identify the optimal *** Univariate and multivariate analyses revealed both decreased overall survival[hazard ratio(HR): 2.88, 95%CI: 1.19-5.78] and recurrence-free survival(HR: 2.31,95%CI: 1.40–3.29) in patients with AAPR < 0.41 compared to those with AAPR ≥0.41. The optimal cut-off of AAPR was 0.41. Of the 303 subjects, 253(83.5%) had an AAPR over 0.41. The overall 1-, 3- and 5-year survival rates were 70.2%, 38.0% and 16.5%, respectively in the low(< 0.41) AAPR group, which were significantly lower than those in the high(≥ 0.41) AAPR group(81.7%, 53.9%, and 33.4%,respectively)(P < 0.0001). Large tumor size, multiple tumors, and advanced clinical stage were also identified as significant predictors of poor *** Our outcomes showed that AAPR was a potential valuable prognostic indicator in CCA patients undergoing surgery, which should be further confirmed by prospective studies. Moreover, it is necessary to investigate the mechanisms concerning the correlation of low AAPR with poor post-operative survival in CCA patients.

AIM To investigate the prognostic value of the combination of preoperative plasma fibrinogen and CA199 in patients with gallbladder carcinoma(GBC).METHODS The clinicopathological data of 154 GBC patients were retrospectively reviewed after surgery. A receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve was plotted to verify the optimum cut-off values for plasma fibrinogen and CA199. Univariate and multivariate survival analyses were performed to identify the factors associated with GBC prognosis. based on the HRs calculated via multivariate survival analyses, patients with elevated plasma fibrinogen and CA199 levels were allocated a score of 2.1; those with an elevated plasma fibrinogen level only were allocated a score of 1, those with an elevated CA199 level only were allocated a score of 1.1, and those with neither of these abnormalities were allocated a score of *** ROC curve analysis showed that the optimum cut-off values for preoperative plasma fibrinogen and CA199 were 3.47 g/L and 25.45 U/mL, respectively. Multivariate analysis indicated that elevated preoperative plasma fibrinogen and CA199 levels were significantly correlated with worse overall survival(OS)(HR = 1.711, 95%CI: 1.114-2.627, P = 0.014, and HR = 1.842, 95%CI: 1.111-3.056, P = 0.018). When we combined these two parameters, the area under the ROC curve increased from 0.735(for preoperative plasma fibrinogen only) and 0.729(for preoperative CA199 only) to 0.765. When this combined variable was added to the multivariate analysis, the combination of plasma fibrinogen and CA199(P < 0.001), resection margin(P < 0.001) and TNM stage(P = 0.010) were independent prognostic factors for *** The combination of plasma fibrinogen and CA199 may serve as a more efficient independent prognostic biomarker for postoperative GBC patients than either parameter alone.

AIM： To compare the clinical performance of 4 spectraldomain（SD） optical coherence tomography angiography（OCTA） systems： AngioVueTM, AngioPlexTM, Spectralis？ OCTA, AngioScan, and 1 swept-source（SS） OCTA SS OCT AngioTM. METHODS： Twenty-seven undilated right eyes of 27 participants underwent OCTA examination using five different systems respectively for both 3×3 and 6×6 mm^2 scan pattern（Spectralis OCTA for 3×3 mm^2 scan only）. Image quality, including vessel valid visibility and the number of motion artifacts, and acquisition time were evaluated. Repeated measures analysis of variance（ANOVA） with Bonferroni＇s post-test and Friedman test with Dunn＇s posttest were used to compare ***： The age of the subjects was 28.19±5.55 y（range, 23-49 y）. The spherical equivalent refraction was-2.55±1.84 D（range, 0.00 to-5.25 D）. Significant difference was observed in the evaluation of vessel valid visibility（Angio Vue the highest： 0.111±0.031 for 3×3 mm^2 scan and 0.128±0.020 for 6×6 mm^2 scan）, number of motion artifacts（AngioVue the fewest： 0.778±1.086 for 3×3 mm^2 scan and 0.333±0.620 for 6×6 mm^2 scan） and acquisition time（AngioPlex the shortest： 8.537±1.921 s for 3×3 mm^2 scan and 8.298±1.741 s for 6×6 mm^2 scan; all P〈0.001）. CONCLUSION： There is poor agreement of measurements among systems. AngioVue provides images with the highest vessel valid visibility and the fewest motion artifacts. AngioPlex achieves the shortest acquisition.

Organic solar cells with stacked bulk heterojutaction（BHJ） are investigated based on conjugated polymer. By using the solution spin-coating method, Poly[2-methoxy, 5-（2＇ -ethyl-hexyloxy） -1,4-phenylene vinylene] （MEH-PPV） and ZnO nanoparticles （50 nm） are mixed as the optical sense layer. Ag is used as inter-layer to connect the upper BHJ cell and the lower cell. The structures are ITO/PEDOT：PSS/MEH-PPV lAg / MEH-PPV：ZnO/Al. The open circuit voltage （Voc） of a stacked cell is about 3.7 times of that of an individual organic solar cell （ITO/PEDOT：PSS/MEH-PPV/Al）. The short circuit current （Jsc） of a stacked cell is increased by about 1.6 times of that of individual one.

Background: Idiosyncratic drug-induced liver injury(IDILI) is a serious side effect of drugs, Epimedii Folium(EF) is unequivocally implicated in idiosyncratic liver injury onset, potentially due to its ability to perturb the NOD-like receptor family pyrin domain containing 3(NLRP3) inflammasome. Fructus Ligustri Lucidi(FLL), a frequently used medicinal combination with EF, has not yet been investigated for its ability to ameliorate EF-associated hepatotoxicity. Aims and Objectives: Study on the mechanism of compatibility of FLL to alleviate liver injury caused by EF. Materials and Methods: Western blot was used to determine the expression of related proteins, ELISA was used to detect the secretion of related inflammatory factors IL-1β, IL-18, IL-6 and TNF-α, liver injury indexes were detected and liver pathological tissue staining was used to evaluate the liver injury. Results: Our results demonstrated that EF exerted a particular augmenting effect on the stimulation of the NLRP3 inflammasome mediated by nigericin or ATP, whereas FLL suppressed the NLRP3 inflammasome stimulation. Furthermore, an equal EF to FLL ratio significantly reduced the stimulatory effects of EF. Moreover, EF has the potential to induce hepatic injury and augment pro-inflammatory cytokine synthesis in rats subjected to LPS. However, when combined with FLL, the detrimental effects of EF were mitigated. Conclusions: FLL possesses the capacity to attenuate EF-associated hepatotoxicity by suppressing EF-triggered NLRP3 inflammasome activation. Thus, FLL holds promise for improving the clinical safety profile of EF, shedding light on the potential of compatibility and detoxification theories in traditional Chinese medicine.
