In the era of time-domain,multi-messenger astronomy,the detection of transient events on the high-energy electromagnetic sky has become more important than *** gravitational wave high-energy electromagnetic counterpart all-sky monitor(GECAM)is a dedicated mission to monitor gamma-ray transients,launched in December,2020.A real-time on-board trigger and location software,using the traditional signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)method for blind search,is constrained to relatively bright signals due to the limitations in on-board computing resources and the need for real-time *** this work,we developed a ground-based pipeline for GECAM to search for various transients,especially for weak bursts missed by on-board *** pipeline includes both automatic and manual mode,offering options for blind search and targeted *** targeted search is specifically designed to search for interesting weak bursts,such as gravitational wave-associated gamma-ray bursts(GRBs).From the ground search of the data in the first year,GECAM has been triggered by 54 GRBs and other transients,including soft gamma-ray repeaters,X-ray binaries,solar flares,terrestrial gamma-ray *** report the properties of each type of triggers,such as trigger time and light *** this search pipeline and assuming a soft Band spectrum,the GRB detection sensitivity of GECAM is increased to about 1.1×10^(-8)erg cm^(-2)s^(-1)(10-1000 ke V,burst duration of 20 s).These results demonstrate that the GECAM ground search system(both blind search and targeted search)is a versatile pipeline to recover true astrophysical signals which were too weak to be found in the on-board search.

VOCs Emission Retrieval in Industrial Parks Based on the ADMS Model

To estimate the emission strength of volatile organic compounds(VOCs)from enterprises at an industrial park scale,this study established a VOC source estimation method based on small-scale air quality modeling(ADMS)and mobile monitoring data. First,hourly meteorological data was used to identify the enterprises along the vehicle path based on wind direction. The impact of enterprise emissions on the concentration at the mobile monitoring points was calculated using ADMS. Simulation results were compared with observed values to quantify the VOC source strengths of different enterprises. Further inversion experiments were conducted based on mobile monitoring data from Shenyang Economic Development Zone from July 28th to August 10th,resulting in the hourly emission strengths of the top ten enterprises. In this study,two time periods,from 10:00 to 11:00 on July 28th and from 10:00 to 11:00 on July 29th,exhibited higher emissions from enterprises,primarily from those related to furniture manufacturing. Additionally,emissions from VOCs exceeded 100 g·s-1 in three of the enterprises. Validation of the model tracing results was conducted based on observational data and the results indicated a good correlation between simulated and observed values. The source apportionment method established in this study provides a novel approach for quantifying emission strength of VOCs in industrial parks, offering a scientific basis for precise control of atmospheric pollution emissions in industrial park areas. © 2025 Science Press. Polyvinyl chloride(PVC)has been shown to be degraded by some insect larvae;however,research is scarce on degrading bacteria. This study revealed that Zophobas atratus larvae were able to keep a higher survival rate only when taking in PVC and reached up to 72.33% within 30 d. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and thermogravimetric analysis(TGA)showed that the peak values of the major functional groups of PVC in the frass changed significantly,and the thermal stability decreased,indicating that PVC biodegraded in the gut of Z. atratus. Based on these,three PVC-degrading bacteria were isolated from the gut contents of the larvae with PVC as the only carbon source in the culture medium for selection,which were identified to be Enterococcus faecalis,Enterobacter hormaechei,and Bacillus subtilis. The degradation test of PVC showed that C5-1 had the greatest degradation efficiency among the three strains,which resulted in the weight loss of(6.19 ± 0.14)mg,and the water contact angle(WCA)decreased by 9.4° within 50 d effectively improving the hydrophilicity of PVC. In conclusion,the strain C5-1 isolated from the gut of Z. atratus larvae showed the high potential to be applied to the biodegradation of PVC plastics. © 2025 Science Press. All rights reserved.
