Diabetic retinopathy identification based on multi-sourcefree domain adaptation

AIM:To address the challenges of data labeling difficulties,data privacy,and necessary large amount of labeled data for deep learning methods in diabetic retinopathy(DR)identification,the aim of this study is to develop a source-free domain adaptation(SFDA)method for efficient and effective DR identification from unlabeled ***:A multi-SFDA method was proposed for DR *** method integrates multiple source models,which are trained from the same source domain,to generate synthetic pseudo labels for the unlabeled target ***,a softmax-consistence minimization term is utilized to minimize the intra-class distances between the source and target domains and maximize the inter-class *** is performed using three color fundus photograph datasets(APTOS2019,DDR,and EyePACS).RESULTS:The proposed model was evaluated and provided promising results with respectively 0.8917 and 0.9795 F1-scores on referable and normal/abnormal DR identification *** demonstrated effective DR identification through minimizing intra-class distances and maximizing inter-class distances between source and target ***:The multi-SFDA method provides an effective approach to overcome the challenges in DR *** method not only addresses difficulties in data labeling and privacy issues,but also reduces the need for large amounts of labeled data required by deep learning methods,making it a practical tool for early detection and preservation of vision in diabetic patients.

Methane metabolism,driven by methanogenic and methanotrophic microorganisms,plays a pivotal role in the carbon *** seawater intrusion and soil salinization rise due to global environmental shifts,understanding how salinity affects methane emissions,especially in deep strata,becomes ***,insights into stratigraphic methane release under varying salinity conditions remain *** we investigate the effects of salinity on methane metabolism across terrestrial and coastal strata(15-40 m depth)through in situ and microcosm simulation *** strata,exhibiting a salinity level five times greater than terrestrial strata,manifested a 12.05%decrease in total methane production,but a staggering 687.34%surge in methane oxidation,culminating in 146.31%diminished methane *** emerged as a significant factor shaping the methane-metabolizing microbial community's dynamics,impacting the methanogenic archaeal,methanotrophic archaeal,and methanotrophic bacterial communities by 16.53%,27.25%,and 22.94%,***,microbial interactions influenced strata system methane *** pathway analyses suggested Atribacteria JS1's potential role in organic matter decomposition,facilitating methane production via *** study thus offers a comprehensive lens to comprehend stratigraphic methane emission dynamics and the overarching factors modulating them.

A maximal photon number entangled state,namely NOON state,can be adopted for sensing with a quantum *** this work,we designed silicon quantum photonic chips containing two types of Mach-Zehnder interferometerswherein the two-photon NOON state,sensing element for temperature or humidity,is *** with classicallight or single photon case,two-photon NOON state sensing shows a solid enhancement in the sensing resolution *** the first demonstration of on-chip quantum photonic sensing,it reveals the advantages of photonic chips forhigh integration density,small-size,stability for multiple-parameter sensing serviceability.A higher sensing precision isexpected to beat the standard quantum limit with a higher photon number NOON state.
