Unlocking the Potential of Poly(butylene succinate)through Incorporation of Vitrimeric Network Based on Dynamic Imine Bonds

Poly(butylene succinate)(PBS)exhibits many advantages,such as renewability,biodegradability,and impressive thermal and mechanical properties,but is limited by the low melt viscosity and strength resulted from the linear *** address this,vitrimeric network was introduced to synthesize PBS vitrimers(PBSVs)based on dynamic imine bonds through melt polymerization of hydroxyl-terminated PBS with vanillin derived imine containing compound and hexamethylene diisocyanate using trimethylolpropane as a crosslinking *** with different crosslinking degrees were synthesized through changing the content of the crosslinking *** effect of crosslinking degree on the thermal,theological,mechanical properties,and stress relaxation behavior of the PBSVs was studied in *** results demonstrated that the melt viscosity,melt strength,and heat resistance were enhanced substantially without obvious depression in crystallizability,thermal stability,and mechanical properties through increasing crosslinking *** addition,the PBSVs exhibit thermal reprocessability with mechanical properties recovered by more than 90%even after processing for three ***,PBSV with improved melt properties shows significantly improved foamability compared to commercial *** research contributes to the advancement of polymer technology by successfully developing PBS vitrimers with improved properties,showcasing their potential applications in sustainable and biodegradable materials.

Interplay between geometric and electronic structures of Pt entities over TiO_(2) for CO oxidation

Monodispersed Pt colloids with a mean size of 2 nm were deposited uniformly on the {110} facets of a rod-shaped rutile TiO_(2),forming a well-defined Pt/TiO_(2) *** treatment of this precursor at elevated temperatures re-dispersed the Pt particles into clusters and ***-calcination at 673 K partially oxidized the Pt particle surface,while calcination at 773 K yielded Pt Oxclusters of 1.6 nm in 7–8 atomic *** calcination at 873 K formed a mixture of raft-like PtO_(x) clusters(1.6 nm,1–2 atomic layers) and cationic *** tested for CO oxidation at 373 K,the Pt particles showed a higher activity than the Pt Oxclusters,whereas the cationic single-atoms were much less *** H_(2)-reduction at 473 K converted the partially oxidized Pt particles into the metallic species,but they were encapsulated by TiO_(2)–xoverlayers because of the strong metal–support interactions,which decreased the activity dramatically.H_(2)-reduction of the PtO_(x) clusters at473 K enhanced the fraction of metallic Pt species without changing the size and geometry,and promoted the activity substantially.H_(2)-treatment of Pt single-atoms at 473 K increased the activity only moderately because most Pt species still kept at cationic *** results straightforwardly differentiated the catalytic behavior of Pt particles,clusters and single-atoms at the same metal loading and over the same TiO_(2) support,and further demonstrated that the electronic structures of Pt entities played a decisive role in the catalytic oxidation,in addition to the specified sizes.

Recovery of rare earth elements from rare earth molten salt electrolytic slag via fluorine fixation by MgCl_(2)roasting

Rare earth fluoride molten-salt electrolytic slag(REFES)is a precious rare earth element(REE)secondary resource,and conside rable amounts of REEs exist in REFES as REF_(3);they are difficult to dissolve in acid or water and impede efficient REE *** REFES recovery,the REF_(3)species in REFES are usually transformed into acid-soluble rare earth compounds by NaOH roasting or sulfating roasting and then extracted by acid leaching,Moreover,the fluorides in REFES are released as HF gas in the roasting process or enter the liquid phase during the water washing process;both of these processes cause fluorine *** the fluorine into the solid slag provides a way to avoid fluorine *** this study,a novel method was proposed to extract REEs from REFES via MgCl_(2)roasting followed by HCl *** calculations and the rmogravimetry-differential thermal analyses(TG-DTA)were conducted to investigate the reactions occurring in the roasting process,First,MgCl_(2)reacts with the REF_3and RE_(2)O_(3)to form RECl_(3)and REOCl,***,the RECI_(3)absorbs water and forms RE(OH)_(3).Third,MgCl_(2)·6H_(2)O is gradually dehydrated to MgCl_(2)·2H_(2)O and reacts with REF_(3)and RE(OH)_(3),and REOCl,MgF_(2)and MgO are *** HCl leaching,the REOCl in the roasting products is leached by HCl acid,while fluoride re mains in the solid slag as MgF_*** optimum experimental conditions are as follows:mass ratio of MgCl_(2)to REFES of 30%,roasting temperature of 700℃,roasting time of 2 h,hydrochloride acid concentration of 4 mol/L,leaching time of 2 h,leaching temperature of 90℃and leaching L/S ratio of 20:*** efficiencies for total leaching of the REEs,La,Ce,Pr,and Nd are 99.13%,99.20%,98.42%,99.38%,and 99.08%,***,the concentration of fluoride in the leaching solution is 2.191×10^(-6)mol/*** method has a short process flow with low reagent costs,and the problem of fluoride pollution from REFES recovery is solved;

Joint Optimization for on-Demand Deployment of UAVs and Spectrum Allocation in UAVs-Assisted Communication

To improve the efficiency and fairness of the spectrum allocation for ground communication assisted by unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs),a joint optimization method for on-demand deployment and spectrum allocation of UAVs is proposed,which is modeled as a mixed-integer non-convex optimization problem(MINCOP).An algorithm to estimate the minimum number of required UAVs is firstly proposed based on the pre-estimation and simulated *** MINCOP is then decomposed into three sub-problems based on the block coordinate descent method,including the spectrum allocation of UAVs,the association between UAVs and ground users,and the deployment of ***,the optimal spectrum allocation is derived based on the interference mitigation and channel *** association between UAVs and ground users is optimized based on local iterated optimization.A particle-based optimization algorithm is proposed to resolve the subproblem of the UAVs *** results show that the proposed method could effectively improve the minimum transmission rate of UAVs as well as user fairness of spectrum allocation.
