FURTHER IMPROVEMENT ON FUNDAMENTAL SOLUTIONS OF PLANE PROBLEMS FOR ORTHOTROPIC MATERIALS

On the basis of the existing fundamental solutions ofdisplacements, further improvement is made, and then the generalfundamental solutions of both plane elastic and plane plasticproblems for ortho- tropic materials are obtained. Two parametersbased on material constants a_1, a_2 are used to derive the rele-vant expressions in a real variable form. Additionally, an analyticalmethod of solving the singular integral for the internal stresses isintroduced, and the corresponding result are given. If a_1=a_2=1, allthe expres- sions obtained for orthotropy can be reduced to thecorresponding ones for isotropy. Because all these expres- sions andresults can be directly used for both isotropic problems andorthotropic problems, it is convenient to use them in engineeringwith the boundary element method (BEM).

Human neural stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles protect against ischemic stroke by activating the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway

Thermally triggered topological polymerization in diacetylene-functionalized covalent organic framework toward enhanced memristive properties

The development of stimuli-responsive switching memory devices and the elucidation of their switching mechanisms in specific environments are crucial for advancing the field of molecular electronics. Herein, we propose two distinct two-dimensional covalent organic frameworks (COFs), namely Py-EDA and Py-BDA, incorporating acetylene (-C≡C-) or diacetylene(-C≡C-C≡C-) moieties, respectively, targeting fabricate memory devices exhibiting stimuli-responsive switching *** findings demonstrate that the incorporation of acetylene units effectively modulates the electronic band structure and enhances the degree ofπ-conjugation, resulting in devices that exhibit typical bipolar nonvolatile memory performance. Notably,upon thermal treatment, the memory behavior of the ITO/Py-BDA/Ag device transitions to a write-once-read-many-times(WORM) mode, displaying decreased SET voltage, increased ON/OFF current ratio, and remarkable retention reliability and cycle stability. This switching behavior is attributed to the occurrence of interlayer solid-state topological polymerization at 350℃, leading to the transformation of diacetylene columnar arrays into enyne chains within Py-BDA, thereby further promoting interlayer charge transfer and separation.

Oxygen vacancies enriched Ir/WOx catalysts for the directly chem-catalytic conversion of cellulose to ethanol

Tungsten and its oxides are highly versatile catalysts with unique properties that hold great promise for a wide array of applications,including biological pathways and chemical *** chemo-catalysis of cellulose to ethanol presents a promising avenue for ethanol synthesis with the potential for enhanced efficiency compared to conventional methods,offering a sustainable and carbon-neutral alternative to existing petrochemical and biological ***,Ir/WOxcatalysts enriched with oxygen vacancies were meticulously prepared and demonstrated remarkable catalytic performance in converting cellulose to ethanol directly in the presence of tungstic *** catalyst achieved a high ethanol yield of 66.5%under optimal reaction conditions,approaching the theoretical yield limit of traditional ethanol *** results revealed the presence of oxygen defects,Bronsted/Lewis acidity,and Ir nanoclusters on the catalyst surface,working synergistically to facilitate the cascade catalysis of cellulose hydrolysis,sugar retro-aldol condensation reaction,and C2 intermediate hydrodeoxygenation to *** situ Fourier transform infrared spectrometer analysis confirmed the catalyst's ability to enhance the adsorption and activation of ethylene glycol for ethanol *** manipulating subtle structural features,this study offers a fresh perspective on tungsten group catalyst design and underscores the importance of synergistic effects among catalytic sites for the efficient production of ethanol from cellulose.

Photoluminescence and Electroluminescence Properties of 2,5-Bis[2,2′-bis(5-phenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole] Thiophene(T-OXD) and T-OXD/Poly(9-vinylcarbazole) Blends

The photoluminescence(PL) and the electroluminescence(EL) properties of a novel organic compound, 2,5-bis(2,2′-bis(5-phenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole(T-OXD), were studied in chloroform and in a solid thin film. The PL and the EL properties of T-OXD/poly(9-vinylcarbazole)(PVK) blends were also studied, which contained various contents of T-OXD. The PL maximum emission peaks of T-OXD/PVK blends show gradual bathochromtic-shift with the increase of the T-OXD content. The EL spectra of T-OXD/PVK devices are similar to their PL spectra, and all the EL maximum emission peaks show bathochromtic-shift compared with the corresponding PL spectra, which is ascribed to the formation of electroplex. The turn-on voltages for ITO/T-OXD:PVK/Al devices decreased from 13.5 V of the device cotaining 0.1% T-OXD(mass fraction) to 5 V of the device containing 5% T-OXD, which suggests that T-OXD improves the energy level match between T-OXD and PVK and enhances the emission efficiency. The experimental results indicate that T-OXD can be used as a good electron transporting material.

Synthesis of Poly[(3-octanoylpyrrole-2,5-diyl)-p-(N,N-dimethylamino)benzylidene] and Its Properties by Nitrogen Ion Implantation

A novel soluble π-conjugated polymer, poly[(3-octanoylpyrrole-2,5-diyl)-p-(N,N-dimethylamino)benzylidene](POPDMABE), was synthesized firstly by the condensation of 3-octanoylpyrrole with para-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde. The chemical structure of the polymer was characterized by FTIR and 1H NMR spectrometries. The polymer is a potential nonlinear optical(NLO) material. According to the function of optical forbidden band gap(E_g) and photon energy(hν), the optical forbidden band gaps of the polymer before and after ion implantation were calculated. The resonant third-order nonlinear optical properties of POPDMABE before and after ion implantation were also studied by using the degenerate four-wave mixing(DFWM) technique at 532 nm. When the energy is 25 keV and the dose is 2.2×10 17 ions/cm 2, the {polymer′s} optical forbidden band gap is about 1.63 eV which is smaller than that of the non-implanted sample(1.98 eV) and the resonant third-order NLO susceptibility of POPDMABE is about 4.3×10 -7 esu, 1 order of magnitude higher than that of the non-implanted sample(4.1×10 -8 esu). The results show that nitrogen ion implantation is an effective method to improve the resonant third-order NLO property of the polymer.

VIBRATION ANALYSIS OF ELASTIC PLATE SUBMERGED IN INCOMPRESSIBLE VISCOUS FLUID BY COUPLING FINITE ELEMENT METHOD

The interaction problem of an elastic structure and anincompressible viscous fluid is solved through a computationalprocedure proposed in this paper. The fluid region is considered tobe bounded though without free surface boundary. The discrete fluiddomain is described by the stream- line upwind/Petrov-Galerkin finiteelement method. The arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian description isemployed to treat the moving interface between the structure and thefluid. The predictor-multicorrec- tor method is adopted to solve thecoupling finite element equations. The results of three numerical ex-amples show the effectiveness of the procedure.
