Aspirin inhibits tumor necrosis factor-a-stimulated fractalkine expression in human umbilical vein endothelial cells

Background Fractalkine is an important chemokine mediating local monocyte accumulation and inflammatory reactions in the vascular wall. Aspirin inhibits inflammatory cytokine expression closely related to atherosclerosis through the way independent of platelet and cyclooxygenase （COX）. There has been no report about the effect of aspirin on fractalkine expression. We aimed to determine the fractalkine expression in human umbilical vein endothelial cell （HUVEC） stimulated by tumor necrosis factor （TNF）-α and the effect of aspirin intervention. Methods Six of 8 HUVEC groups received either different concentrations of aspirin （0.02, 0.2, 1.0, 5.0 mmol/L） or 40 μmol/L pyrrolidinecarbodithioc acid （PDTC） or 0.5 μmol/L NS-398. The other two groups were negative control and positive control （TNF-α-stimulated）. After being incubated for 24 hours, cells of the 8 groups except the negative control one were stimulated with TNF-α （4 ng/ml） for another 24 hours. After that, the cells were collected for RNA isolation and protein extraction. Results Both mRNA and protein expressions of fractalkine in HUVEC were upregulated by 4 ng/ml TNF-α stimulation. Aspirin inhibited fractalkine expression in a dose-dependent manner at mRNA and protein levels. Nuclear factor-kappa B inhibitor, PDTC, effectively decreased the fractalkine expression. Fractalkine expression was not influenced by COX-2 selective inhibitor NS-398. COX-1 protein expression was not changed by either TNF-α stimulation or aspirin, PDTC, NS-398 intervention. Both mRNA and protein expression of COX-2 in HUVEC were upregulated by 4 ng/ml TNF-α stimulation. Aspirin decreased COX-2 expression in a dose-dependent manner at mRNA and protein levels. Conclusions TNF-α-stimulated fractalkine expression is suppressed by aspirin in a dose-dependent manner through the nuclear factor-kappa B p65 pathway.

Complex adaptive system theory,agent-based modeling,and simulation in dominant technology formation

Dominant technology formation is the key for the hightech industry to“cross the chasm”and gain an established foothold in the market(and hence disrupt the regime).Therefore,a stimulus-response model is proposed to investigate the dominant technology by exploring its formation process and ***,based on complex adaptive system theory and the basic stimulus-response model,we use a combination of agent-based modeling and system dynamics modeling to capture the interactions between dominant technology and the socio-technical *** results indicate the following:(i)The dynamic interaction is“stimulus-reaction-selection”,which promotes the dominant technology’s formation.(ii)The dominant technology’s formation can be described as a dynamic process in which the adaptation intensity of technology standards increases continuously until it becomes the leading technology under the dual action of internal and external mechanisms.(iii)The dominant technology’s formation in the high-tech industry is influenced by learning ability,the number of adopting users and ***,a“critical scale”of learning ability exists to promote the formation of leading technology:a large number of adopting users can promote the dominant technology’s formation by influencing the adaptive response of technology standards to the socio-technical landscape and the choice of technology standards by the socio-technical *** is a minimum threshold and a maximum threshold for the role of adaptability in the dominant technology’s formation.(iv)The socio-technical landscape can promote the leading technology’s shaping in the high-tech industry,and different elements have different *** study promotes research on the formation mechanism of dominant technology in the high-tech industry,presents new perspectives and methods for researchers,and provides essential enlightenment for managers to formulate technology strategies.

For Mega-Constellations: Edge Computing and Safety Management Based on Blockchain Technology

In mega-constellation Communication Systems, efficient routing algorithms and data transmission technologies are employed to ensure fast and reliable data transfer. However, the limited computational resources of satellites necessitate the use of edge computing to enhance secure *** edge computing reduces the burden on cloud computing, it introduces security and reliability challenges in open satellite communication channels. To address these challenges, we propose a blockchain architecture specifically designed for edge computing in mega-constellation communication systems. This architecture narrows down the consensus scope of the blockchain to meet the requirements of edge computing while ensuring comprehensive log storage across the network. Additionally, we introduce a reputation management mechanism for nodes within the blockchain, evaluating their trustworthiness, workload, and efficiency. Nodes with higher reputation scores are selected to participate in tasks and are appropriately incentivized. Simulation results demonstrate that our approach achieves a task result reliability of 95% while improving computational speed.

Designing metal-organic framework fiber network reinforced polymer electrolytes to provide continuous ion transport in solid state lithium metal batteries

Polyethylene oxide(PEO)-based solid-state electrolytes are considered ideal for electrolyte materials in solid-state lithium metal batteries(SSLMBs).However,practical applications are hindered by the lower conductivity and poor interfacial ***,we propose a strategy to construct a three-dimensional(3D)fiber network of metal-organic frameworks(MOFs).Composite solid electrolytes(CSEs)with continuous ion transport pathways were fabricated by filling a PEO polymer matrix in fibers containing interconnected *** 3D fiber network provides a fast Li+transport path and effectively improves the ionic conductivity(1.36×10^(-4) S·cm^(-1),30℃).In addition,the network of interconnected MOFs not only effectively traps the anions,but also provides sufficient mechanical strength to prevent the growth of Li *** from the advantages of structural design,the CSEs stabilize the Li/electrolyte interface and extend the cycle life of the Li-symmetric cells to 3000 *** assembled SSLMBs exhibit excellent cycling performance at both room and high *** addition,the constructed pouch cells can provide an areal capacity of 0.62 mA·h·cm^(-2),which can still operate under extreme *** work provides a new strategy for the design of CSEs with continuous structure and stable operation of SSLMBs.

An Online Q-Learning Method for Linear-Quadratic Nonzero-Sum Stochastic Differential Games with Completely Unknown Dynamics

In this paper, the authors design a reinforcement learning algorithm to solve the adaptive linear-quadratic stochastic n-players non-zero sum differential game with completely unknown dynamics. For each player, a critic network is used to estimate the Q-function, and an actor network is used to estimate the control input. A model-free online Q-learning algorithm is obtained for solving this kind of problems. It is proved that under some mild conditions the system state and weight estimation errors can be uniformly ultimately bounded. A simulation with five players is given to verify the effectiveness of the algorithm.

As modern electromagnetic environments are more and more complex,the anti-interference performance of the synchronization acquisition is becoming vital in wireless *** the rapid development of the digital signal processing technologies,some synchronization acquisition algorithms for hybrid direct-sequence(DS)/frequency hopping(FH)spread spectrum communications have been ***,these algorithms do not focus on the analysis and the design of the synchronization acquisition under typical *** this paper,a synchronization acquisition algorithm based on the frequency hopping pulses combining(FHPC)is ***,the proposed algorithm is composed of two modules:an adaptive interference suppression(IS)module and an adaptive combining decision *** adaptive IS module mitigates the effect of the interfered samples in the time-domain or the frequencydomain,and the adaptive combining decision module can utilize each frequency hopping pulse to construct an anti-interference decision metric and generate an adaptive acquisition decision threshold to complete the *** and simulation demonstrate that the proposed algorithm significantly enhances the antiinterference and anti-noise performances of the synchronization acquisition for hybrid DS/FH communications.

Monogamy and polygamy for the generalized W-class states using unified-(q,s)entropy

We describe the entanglement distribution and restricted shareability of the multipartite generalized W-class states and their reduced density matrix under arbitrary partitions by using monogamy and polygamy relation based on the unified-(q,s)***,we provide an analytical formula of unified-(q,s)entanglement(UE)and an analytical lower bound of unified-(q,s)entanglement of assistance(UEo A)for a reduced density matrix of a generalized W-class ***,we use these two analytical formulas to derive the monogamy and polygamy inequalities for a reduced density matrix of a qudit generalized W-class(GW)*** establish two partition-dependent residual entanglements based on the new monogamy relation,which is helpful to obtain a comprehensive analysis of entanglement dynamics of generalized W-class ***,we investigate tighter monogamy and polygamy relations based on the power ofαth(α≥0)for UE andβth(β≥0)for UEo A,*** results show that the entanglement distribution characteristics of generalized W-class states satisfying stronger constraints can be described more accurately.

Study on the performance of lightweight roadway wall thermal insulation coating containing EP-GHB mixed ceramsite

As the mining depth increases,the problem of high-temperature thermal damage mainly caused by heat dissipation of surrounding rock is becoming more and more *** is very important to solve the environmental problem of mine heat damage to improve the efficiency of mineral resource exploitation and protect the physical and mental health of *** can apply thermal insulation coating on the walls of mine roadways as a means of implementing active heat *** this paper,expanded perlite(EP)and glazed hollow bead(GHB)are used as the main thermal insulation materials,ceramsite and sand as aggregate,plus glass fiber and sodium dodecyl sulfate to develop a new lightweight composite thermal insulation coating through orthogonal experiment *** to the plate heat flow meter method and mechanical test method,the thermal insulation and mechanical properties of EP-GHB mixed ceramsite coating were studied by making specimens with different parameter ratios,and according to the analysis of the experimental results,the optimal mix ratio of the coating was *** addition,Fluent numerical simulation software was used to establish the roadway model,and the thermal insulation effect of the coating in the roadway under different working conditions was *** results show that the thermal conductivity of the prepared composite thermal insulation coating material is only 8.5% of that of ordinary cement mortar,and the optimal thickness of adding thermal insulation coating is 0.2 m,which can reduce the outlet air temperature of the roadway with a length of 1000 m by 4.87 K at this *** thermal insulation coating developed in this study has the advantages of simple technology and strong practicability,and has certain popularization and application value in mine heat damage control.
