Herein,we report a condition-controlled divergent synthesis of spiro indene-2,1'-isoindolinones and spiro isochroman-3,1'-isoindolinones through cobalt-catalyzed formal[4+1]and[4+1+1]spirocyclization of aromatic amides with 2-diazo-1H-indene-1,3(2H)-*** the reaction is carried out under air in ethyl acetate,spiro indene-2,1'-isoindolinones are formed through Co(II)-catalyzed C—H/N—H[4+1]*** the reaction is run under O2 in CH3CN,on the other hand,spiro isochroman-3,1'-isoindolinones are generated through Baeyer-Villiger oxidation of the in situ formed spiro indene-2,1'-isoindolinones with O2 as a cheaper and environmental-friendly oxygen *** general,these protocols have advantages such as using non-precious and earth-abundant metal catalyst,no extra additive,high efficiency and regioselectivity.A gram-scale synthesis and the removal of the directing group further highlight its utility.

Distinct from"rockingchair"lithium-ion batteries(liBs),the unique anionic intercalation chemistry on the cathode side of dual-ion batteries(DIBs)endows them with intrinsic advantages of low cost,high voltage,and ecofriendly,which is attracting widespread attention,and is expected to achieve the next generation of large-scale energy storage *** the electrochemical reactions on the anode side of DIBs are similar to that of liBs,in fact,to match the rapid insertion kinetics of anions on the cathode side and consider the compatibility with electrolyte system which also serves as an active material,the anode materials play a very important role,and there is an urgent demand for rational structural design and performance optimization.A review and summarization of previous studies will facilitate the exploration and optimization of DIBs in the ***,we summarize the development process and working mechanism of DIBs and exhaustively categorize the latest research of DIBs anode materials and their applications in different battery ***,the structural design,reaction mechanism and electrochemical performance of anode materials are briefly ***,the fundamental challenges,potential strategies and perspectives are also put *** is hoped that this review could shed some light for researchers to explore more superior anode materials and advanced systems to further promote the development of DIBs.

Semidwarf breeding has boosted crop production and is a well-known outcome from the first Green Revolution. The Green Revolution gene Semidwarf 1(SD1), which modulates gibberellic acid(GA) biosynthesis, plays a principal role in determining rice plant height. Mutations in SD1 reduce rice plant height and promote lodging resistance and fertilizer tolerance to increase grain production. The plant height mediated by SD1 also favors grain yield under certain conditions. However, it is not yet known whether the function of SD1 in upland rice promotes adaptation and grain production. In this study, the plant height and grain yield of irrigated and upland rice were comparatively analyzed under paddy and dryland conditions. In response to dryland environments, rice requires a reduction in plant height to cope with water deficits. Upland rice accessions had greater plant heights than their irrigated counterparts under both paddy and dryland conditions, and appropriately reducing plant height could improve adaptability to dryland environments and maintain high grain yield formation. Moreover, upland rice cultivars with thicker stem diameters had stronger lodging resistance, which addresses the lodging problem. Knockout of SD1 in the upland rice cultivar IRAT104 reduced the plant height and grain yield, demonstrating that the adjustment of plant height mediated by SD1 could increase grain production in dryland fields. In addition, an SD1 genetic diversity analysis verified that haplotype variation causes phenotypic variation in plant height. During the breeding history of rice, SD1 allelic mutations were selected from landraces to improve the grain yield of irrigated rice cultivars, and this selection was accompanied by a reduction in plant height. Thus, five known mutant alleles were analyzed to verify that functional SD1 is required for upland rice production. Accurate and efficient urban traffic flow prediction can help drivers identify road traffic conditions in real-time,consequently helping them avoid congestion and accidents to a certain ***,the existing methods for real-time urban traffic flow prediction focus on improving the model prediction accuracy or efficiency while ignoring the training efficiency,which results in a prediction system that lacks the scalability to integrate real-time traffic flow into the training *** conduct accurate and real-time urban traffic flow prediction while considering the latest historical data and avoiding time-consuming online retraining,herein,we propose a scalable system for Predicting short-term URban traffic flow in real-time based on license Plate recognition data(PURP).First,to ensure prediction accuracy,PURP constructs the spatio-temporal contexts of traffic flow prediction from license Plate Recognition(LPR)data as effective ***,to utilize the recent data without retraining the model online,PURP uses the nonparametric method k-Nearest Neighbor(namely KNN)as the prediction framework because the KNN can efficiently identify the top-k most similar spatio-temporal contexts and make predictions based on these contexts without time-consuming model retraining *** experimental results show that PURP retains strong prediction efficiency as the prediction period increases.

Advancing supercapacitor system performance hinges on the innovation of novel electrode materials seamlessly integrated within distinct ***,we introduce a direct approach for crafting nanorod arrays featuring crystalline/amorphous CuO/MnO_(2)−*** reconfigured heterostructure results in an elevated content of electrochemically active MnO_(2).The nanorod arrays serve as efficient capacitive anodes and are easily prepared via low-potential electrochemical *** resulting structure spontaneously forms a p–n heterojunction,developing a built-in electric field that dramatically facilitates the charge transport *** intrinsic electric field,in conjunction with the crystalline/amorphous architecture,enables a large capacitance of 1.0 F·cm^(−2)at 1.0 mA·cm^(−2),an ultrahigh rate capability of approximately 85.4%at 15 mA·cm^(−2),and stable cycling performance with 92.4%retention after 10,000 *** calculations reveal that the presence of heterojunctions allows for the optimization of the electronic structure of this composite,leading to improved conductivity and optimized OH−adsorption *** work provides new insights into the rational design of heterogeneous nanostructures,which hold great potential in energy storage applications.

Considering the challenge of aerodynamic heating,the development of high-performance insulating ce-ramic materials with lightweight and low thermal conductivity is crucially important for aerospace vehi-cles to achieve flight at high speed for a long *** this work,macro-porous silicon oxycarbide(SiOC)ceramics with directional pores(DP-SiOC)(mean pore size of 88.1μm)were prepared using polysiloxane precursors via freeze casting and photocrosslinking,followed by *** DP-SiOC samples were lightweight(density∼0.135 g cm^(-3))with a porosity of 90.4%,which showed good shapability through the molding of polysiloxane *** DP-SiOC samples also exhibited an ultra-low thermal con-ductivity of 0.048 W(m K)^(-1)at room temperature,which can also withstand heat treatment at 1200°C for 1 *** addition,scaffolds with triply periodic minimal surfaces(TPMS)were fabricated using digital light processing(DLP)printing,which was further filled with polysiloxane precursors for increasing the strength of *** TPMS scaffolds filled with macro-porous SiOC ceramics(TPMS-DP-SiOC)showed good integration between TPMS and macro-pore structures,which had a porosity∼75%and high specific strength of 9.73×10^(3)N m kg^(-1).The thermal conductivity of TPMS-DP-SiOC samples was 0.255 W(m K)^(-1)at room *** biomimetic TPMS-DP-SiOC ceramics developed in this study are likely used for thermal protection systems.

Dynamic soil−pile−superstructure interaction is crucial for understanding pile behavior in earthquake-prone *** the safety of piles requires determining the seismic bending moment caused by combined inertial and kinematic interactions,which is *** paper addresses this problem through numerical simulations of piles in different soil sites,considering soil *** reveal that the period of the soil site significantly affects the interaction among soil,piles,and *** moments in soft and hard soil sites exceed those in medium soil sites by more than *** modes of piles exhibit distinct characteristics between hard and soft soil *** soil sites exhibit a singular inflection point,while hard soil sites show two inflection *** soft soil sites,pile-soil kinematic interaction gradually increases bending moment from tip to head,with minor influence from superstructure’s inertial *** hard soil sites,significant inertial effects from soil,even surpassing pile-soil kinematic effects near the tip,lead to reversed superposition bending ***’s inertial interaction notably impacts pile head in hard soil sites.A simplified coupling method is proposed using correlation coefficient to represent inertial and kinematic *** findings provide insights into complex seismic interactions among soil,piles,and structures.
