Type 2 diabetes(T2D)is caused by insulin resistance and insufficient insulin *** has increasingly indicated that pancreaticβ-cell dysfunction is the primary determinant of T2D disease progression and *** plasticity is an important feature of pancreaticβ-*** T2D development,pancreaticβ-cells undergo dynamic ***β-cell death/apoptosis in later-stage T2D is the major cause ofβ-cell dysfunction,recent studies have revealed thatβ-cell dedifferentiation and reprogramming,which play critical roles inβ-cell functional regulation in the early and middle T2D progression stages,are characterized by(i)a loss of matureβ-cell-enriched genes;(ii)dedifferentiation to a progenitor-like state;and(iii)transdifferentiation into other cell *** roles of transcription factors(TFs)in the establishment and maintenance ofβ-cell identity during pancreatic development have been extensively ***,we summarize the roles and underlying mechanisms of TFs in the maintenance ofβ-cell identity under physiological and type 2 diabetic *** feasible approaches for restoring islet functions are also discussed.A better understanding of the transcriptional control ofβ-cell identity and plasticity will pave the way for developing more effective strategies,such asβ-cell regeneration therapy,to treat T2D and associated metabolic disorders.

蜡、水合物及其耦合沉积是海洋油气多相混输工艺潜在风险问题。以天然气、去离子水、3#工业白油和石蜡为实验介质,依托可视化高压反应釜,基于正交实验设计的方法,分别选用L9(34)和L16(45)正交表设计并开展了无蜡和含蜡2种体系下天然气水合物生成实验;以流体当量黏度为评价指标,分析了含蜡量、搅拌速率、流体平衡温度、含水率、起始压力对水合物浆液当量黏度的影响显著程度。实验结果表明:黏度值恒定并不能判断反应釜中水合物生成是否结束,因为在剪切稳定阶段,脱离搅拌中心区域的水合物与搅拌区域新生成的水合物存在一种“动态平衡”状态;含蜡量越高,水合物生长诱导期越长;在含蜡量2%与3%水合物的快速生长阶段,扭矩与转速会发生2次突变,第1次突变原因是蜡晶的大量析出导致搅拌中心区域油相胶凝结构增强,第2次突变原因是水合物大量生成并与析出的蜡晶相互吸附形成了蜡-水合物聚集体,在离心作用下脱离了搅拌中心区域;各因素对于无蜡和含蜡体系水合物浆液当量黏度的影响显著程度相似,搅拌速率均为主要影响因素。研究结果对深水油气管道的安全运行具有重要的理论意义和实用价值。

The four-level active neutral point clamped(ANPC)inverter has become increasingly widely used in the renewable energy indus-try since it offers one more voltage level without increasing the total number of active switches compared to the three-level ANPC *** model predictive current control(MPCC)is a promising control method for multi-level ***,the conven-tional MPCC suffers from high computational complexity and tedious weighting factor tuning in multi-level inverter applications.A low-complexity MPCC without weighting factors for a four-level ANPC inverter is proposed in this *** computational burden and voltage vector candidate set are reduced according to the relationship between voltage vector and neutral point voltage *** proposed MPCC shows excellent steady-state and dynamics performances while ensuring the neutral point voltage *** efficacy of the proposed MPCC is verified by simulation and experimental results.

LiNi0.8Co0.1Mn0.1O_(2)(NCM811),a Ni-rich layered oxide,is a promising cathode material for high-energy density lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).However,its structural instability,caused by adverse phase transitions and continuous oxygen release,as well as deteriorated interfacial stability due to excessive electrolyte oxidative decomposition,limits its widespread *** address these issues,a new concept is proposed that surface targeted precise functionalization(STPF)of the NCM811 cathode using a synergistic slurry additive(SSA)*** approach involves coating the NCM811 particle surface with 3-aminopropyl dimethoxy methyl silane(3-ADMS),followed by the precise deposition of ascorbic acid via an acid-base *** slurry additives induce the formation of an ultra-thin spinel surface layer and a stable cathode–electrolyte interface(CEI),which enhances the electrochemical kinetics and inhibits crack *** STPF strategy implemented by the SSA approach significantly improves the cyclic stability and rate performance of the NCM811 cathode in both half-cell and full-cell *** work establishes a promising strategy to enhance the structural stability and electrochemical performance of nickel-rich cathodes and provides a feasible route to promote practical applications of high-energy density lithium-ion battery technology.

Reconstruction of the western Pacific warm pool SST since 1644 AD and its relation to precipitation over East China

Based on coral proxies we reconstructed the western Pacific warm pool sea surface temperature (SST) since 1644 AD. High-frequency reconstructions are based on eight high-pass filtered coral series and raw reconstructions are derived from eight unfiltered coral series, respectively. Validation and comparison with other SST/temperature series show that the reconstructed warm pool SST is highly reliable. The leading periods of warm pool SST are ~2.1, ~2.3, ~2.9, ~3.6, ~3.8, and 80.7-year during the last ~360 years. The warm pool SST exhibits some obvious long-term trends: an upward trend of 0.04℃ per century for the period of 1644―1825, while a decreasing trend of 0.24℃ per century for the period of 1826―1885, and then a remarkable warming trend of 0.28℃ per century taking place between 1886 and 2006. Especially, the SST shows the strongest trend of 0.67℃ increase per century during the last 50 years, a warming unprecedented since 1644 AD. On interannual timescale, the connections between ENSO and the warm pool SST are robust during the reconstruction period. There are significant corre- lations between the warm pool SST and summer precipitation of the Yellow River basin and Huaihe River basin; the correlation coefficients are -0.44 in reconstruction period (1880―1949 AD) and -0.46 in instrumental period (1950―2005 AD) respectively. This relationship is also found between flooddrought index and the warm pool SST during the past 360 years, and their correlation coefficients are -0.20 in reconstruction period and-0.46 in instrumental period respectively, significant at the 0.01 level. On interdecadal timescale, this connection is more robust, and the correlation coefficient of the low-pass filtered components is -0.42 during the whole period (1644―2000 AD). When the warm pool is warmer than normal, the precipitation is usually below the normal in the Yellow River and Huaihe River basin. 目前,强霾事件中气象场的不确定性对PM2.5浓度分布影响的研究较少。本文利用ECMWF发布的最新一代再分析资料ERA5在WRF-Chem模式下针对2015年冬季京津冀地区一次强霾事件设计了大气初值和侧边界条件的集合模拟试验。试验结果表明:三组不同集合方案分别使得PM2.5浓度均方根误差(RMSE)相对于参照试验降低了4.33%、6.91%和8.44%,同时扰动初值和侧边界值的集合试验有效提高了模拟结果的准确性,这是因为集合方案有效改进了近地面风向模拟。以10米风向为例,RMSE分别降低了5.19%、8.89%和9.61%。在本个例中,集合模拟方案最高可使得重霾期间因气象场的不确定性引起的PM2.5浓度模拟误差降低32%以上。

Previous studies have demonstrated that seasonal weather forecasting together with the functional relationship between atmospheric circulation indices and the pollution level can facilitate the prediction of haze/air quality(e.g., haze-related visibility) in the heavily polluted Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region(BTH). Air quality is sensitive to pollution emissions, which have been significantly curtailed since 2012 across most of China. This raises the question of the predictability of winter haze pollution in BTH in the context of greatly emission controls. Here, we re-examine the association between atmospheric circulation and haze pollution based on hourly observations from synoptic weather stations and environmental monitoring sites and monthly ERA5 reanalysis data. The observational analyses suggest that the addressed association remained robust in both Beijing and BTH after stringent emission controls. Specifically, in winter 1981-2012 and 1981-2021, the explained variance of the comprehensive atmospheric circulation index upon the variability of haze-related visibility in BTH decreased slightly from 65.4% to 56.1%, and almost no changes in the downtown Beijing. The numerical simulations reveal that the probability of air pollution(PAP) may decrease nonlinearly and vary among regions. As the base emissions in 2016 decreased to 50% at a rate of 10%, the PAP moderately decreased from 77.2% to 57.6% in the heavily polluted BTH. Based on the identified physical mechanism between atmospheric circulation and air pollution, haze events might still appear frequently in BTH when unfavorable meteorological conditions occur, and they can be predictable in the context of emission controls.

Two parallel sets of numerical experiments （an ozone-hole simulation and a non-ozone-hole simulation） were performed to investigate the effect of ozone depletion on surface temperature change using the second spectral version of the Flexible Global Ocean-Atmosphere-Land System model （FGOALS-s2）, focusing on the eastern Antarctica （EA） continent in austral summer. First, we evaluated the ability of the model to simulate the EA surface cooling, and found the model can successfully reproduce the cooling trend of the EA surface, as well as the circulation change circling the South Pole in the past 30 years. Second, we compared the two experiments and discovered that the ozone depletion causes the cooling trend and strengthens the circumpolar westerly flow. We further investigated the causes of the EA surface cooling associated with the ozone hole and found two major contributors. The first is the ozone-hole direct radiation effect （DRE） upon the surface that happens because the decrease of the downward longwave （LW） radiation overcomes the increase of the downward shortwave （SW） radiation under clear sky. The second is the cloud radiation effect （CRE） induced by ozone depletion, which happens because the decreased downward SW radiation overcomes the increased downward LW radiation in the case of increased cloud. Although the CRE is theoretically opposite to the DRE, their final net effect makes comparable contributions to the EA surface cooling. Compared with the surface radiation budget, the surface heat flux budgets have a much smaller contribution. We additionally note that the CRE is basically ascribed to the circulation change.
