Mobile observation platforms are widely used in oceanographic and marine resource exploration and other applications. Wave Glider is a mobile platform that can transform wave energy into locomotion power and overcome the bottleneck of low energy supply. Wave Glider has recently been applied to tow underwater sensors fulfilling observation tasks. In this paper, the dynamic system of Wave Glider with a towed body is studied by applying multibody mechanics, and the relevant motion conditions of the system are investigated. Dynamic models of Wave Glider with a towed body and tether are first developed individually and then integrated into a whole model. The numerical method is used to obtain the dynamic responses and assess performance of the towed body pulled by the submerged glider of Wave Glider. The effects of sea state, mass of the towed body, and length of the towed cable are investigated on the basis of simulation results. This work can be used for the design and analysis of Wave Glider-towed body systems.

The ion selectivity of electrodeposited nickel hexacyanoferrate （NiHCF） thin films was investigated using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy （EIS） and cyclic voltammetry （CV）. NiHCF thin films were prepared by cathodic deposition on Pt and Al substrates. EIS and CV curves were determined in 1 mol/L （KNO3＋C5NO3） and 1 mol/L （NaNO3＋CsNO3） mixture solutions, which were sensitive to the concentration of Cs^＋ in the electrolytes. Experimental results show that all Nyquist impedance plots show depressed semicircles in the high-frequency range changing over into straight lines at lower frequencies. With increasing amounts of Cs^＋, the redox potentials in CV curves shift toward more positive values and the redox peaks broaden; the semicircle radius in corresponding EIS curves and the charge transfer resistance also increase. EIS combining CV is able to provide valuable insights into the ion selectivity of NiHCF thin films. 2008 University of Science and Technology Beijing. All rights reserved.

As the number of electric vehicles(EVs)increases,massive numbers of EVs have started to gather in commercial parking lots to charge and discharge,which may significantly impact the operation of the *** may also be a deviation in the departure time of charged and discharged EVs in commercial parking *** deviation can lead to insufficient battery energy when the EVs leave the parking *** study uses the simulation software AnyLogic to build a commercial parking lot multi-agent simulation model,and the agent-based model can fully reflect the autonomy of individual *** on this simulation model,we propose an EV scheduling *** algorithm contains two main *** first is the power distribution center agent(PDCA),which is used to coordinate the energy output of photovoltaic(PV),energy storage system(ESS),and distribution station(DS)to solve the problem of grid *** second is the scheduling center agent(SCA),which is used to solve the insufficient battery energy problem due to EVs’random *** SCA includes two *** the first stage,a priority scheduling algorithm is proposed to emphasize the fairness of EV *** the second stage,a genetic algorithm is used to accurately determine the time interval between charging and discharging to ensure the maximum benefit of EV ***,simulation experiments are conducted in AnyLogic,and the results demonstrate the superiority of the algorithm over the classical algorithm.

The performance of binary particles mixing and gas-solids contacting,which is considered qualitatively to have a significant influence on the heat transfer in internal heated circulating fluidized beds,is carefully investigated by means of a numerical approach in the newly developed high solids-flux downer lignite pyrolyzer(φ0.1 m×6.5 m).Since binary particles are used in this system,a reasonably validated 3 D,transient,multi-fluid model,in which three heat transfer modes relating to the convection,conduction and radiation are considered,is adopted to simulate the flow behavior,temperature profiles as well as volatile *** simulation results showed that the solids stream impinges the left wall surface initially and turns towards the right wall in the further downward direction and then shrinks during this process resulting in that the solids concentrate a little more at the central *** the further downward section of the downer,the particle flow disperses near the right wall and develops ***,the coal phase is slowly heated in the downer and it is found that most of the heat absorbed by the coal is from the convection heat transfer *** explore the heat transfer mechanism more quantitatively,two indexes(mixing index and contacting index)are proposed,and it is found that the mixing index initially increased fast and later remained at a relatively flat *** the contact index,it shows a trend with a first rising and then falling,finally rising ***,it is found that the convection heat transfer is closely correlated to the contacting status of gas-coal which indicates that the improving of the gas-coal contacting efficiency should be an effective way to strengthen the coal particle heating process.

Fast heat transfer in the pyrolyzer can increase the yield of pyrolysis gas and tar,and improve the quality of *** with the downer pyrolyzer,the cyclone pyrolyzer can simultaneously achieve high solids holdup and violent turbulence,and correspondingly faster heat *** this work,the heat transfer behavior in the cyclone pyrolyzer is specifically studied using the computational fluid dynamics-discrete element *** simulation results reveal that the gas-solids heat convection contributes mainly to the heat transfer process,and the heat radiation and conduction are relatively small and almost negligible,*** with the downer pyrolyzer under the same operating conditions,the heating rate is significantly increased in the cyclone *** analyzing the flow characteristics in the cyclone pyrolyzer,it is found that the region of high convective heat transfer rate coincides with that of natural cyclone ***,the final coal temperature increases with the increase of gas velocity and exists a maximum *** results can offer some qualitative understanding of the heat transfer behavior in the cyclone pyrolyzer.

Chloroplast integration and expression vector containing expression cassettes for phbB, phbA, phbC and aadA genes was constructed and bombarded into the tobacco chloroplast genome. Transplastomic plants were analyzed with PCR and Southern blot. Their homoplastomy was also judged. Northern dot and RT-PCR analysis were employed to investigate transgene expression at transcriptional level. The results indicate that the chloroplast transformation system is compatible for poly-3-hydroxybutyrate (PHB) production.
