Strigolactones(SLs)are a new type of plant endogenous hormones that have been found to regulate plant growth and *** present,some genes related to the biosynthesis and signaling pathway of SLs have been isolated in plants such as Arabidopsis thaliana,Pisum sativum and Oryza ***,the signaling pathway and specific mechanism of SLs in cotton remain *** this study,we identified the SLs signaling gene GhMAX2 and demonstrated its function in plant growth and architecture in Gossypium *** analysis showed that GhMAX2 mainly consists of anα-helix and a random coil and includes a large number of leucine-rich ***2 was highly expressed in root,stem,flower,and fibers at 20 days post-anthesis(DPA).GhMAX2 promoter-drivenβ-glucuronidase expression was present exclusively in the root,main inflorescence,flower,and *** localization showed that GhMAX2 is targeted to the *** expressed GhMAX2 can rescue the phenotype of Arabidopsis max2-1 mutant,indicating that the function of MAX2 is highly conserved between *** and *** *** addition,the knockdown expression of GhMAX2 in cotton resulted in significantly reduced plant height,slow growth,short internodes,and reduced fiber *** findings indicate that GhMAX2 probably contributes to plant growth,architecture and fiber elongation in *** study reveals insights into the roles of GhMAX2-mediated SL/KAR signaling in cotton and provides a valuable foundation for the cultivation of cotton plants in the future.

The coordinated polymer [Ni（pda）（H2O）3]n 1 （pda = pyridine-2,3-dicarboxylate） with one-dimensional chain structure has been obtained by hydrothermal method. Its structure was determined by X-ray crystallography with the following data： monoclinic, space group P21/c, a = 6.4153（4）, b = 21.6454（14）, c = 7.3783（5） A, β = 113.079（1）°, V = 942.56（11） A^3, Z = 4, C7H9NNiO7, Mr = 27.7.86, Dc = 1.958 g/cm^3,F（000） = 568 and μ（MoKa） = 2.081 mm^-1. The final R = 0.0194 and wR = 0.0515 for 1511 observed reflections with I 〉 2σ（I）. The title complex presents an infinite 1-D polymeric chain structure consisting of repeated basic units [Ni（pda）（H2O）3]n. The center Ni（Ⅱ） ions are coordinated by one nitrogen atom and three oxygen atoms from pda ligand as well as three H2O molecules in a slightly distorted octahedral environment. The intermolecular hydrogen bonds link the 1 D chains to form a 2D layered architecture.

Analysis and research of long-term stability about the gob site in Northern Shaanxi Province

Based on the analysis of the basic characteristics for the gob site in Northern Shaanxi Province and the room and pillar mining way about coal mine, the variety rule of the coal beds below the site was studied by the using of FEM during the process of coal mining. The statuses of the stresses and strains and the varieties of the plastic area were simulated in the whole rock and coal pillars. The characters of stresses and deformation of the gob area of the coalmine were analyzed and evaluated after the site built in weathering. Moreover, the long-term stability of the gob area was predicted. As a result, the deformation of the gob area under the site is not been finished, and there is the danger that the gob site will collapsing as a whole; therefore, relative measures must be taken.

The striations on the surface of 3Cr2W8V die steel were processed by laser. The microstructure, hardness, wear resistance and thermal fatigue behavior of the specimens processed by laser were measured. The appearance and mechanism of thermal fatigue crack propagation in the zone processed by laser were observed and discussed. The results show that the wear resistance and thermal fatigue resistance of materials processed by laser are all better than those of the unprocessed material. The processed zone by laser plays a role in baffling wearing process and crack propagation. The pile-nail effect of processed zone is the main factor for improving the wear resistance and thermal fatigue resistance of material.

Caragana microphylla Lam., a pioneer leguminous shrub species for vegetation re-establishment, is widely distributed in the semi-fixed and fixed sandy lands of the Horqin region. Some soil chemical and physical properties were measured under the canopy of C. microphylla and in the adjacent open areas to determine the effects of individual shrubs on soil properties. The influence of isolated C. microphylla on chemical and physical properties of the topsoil was significantly different between plots under the shrub canopy and in the shrub interspaces. Beneath the shrub canopy greater amounts of fine particle fractions, a higher water-holding capacity, and a lower bulk density, as well as higher aboveground and belowground litter biomass were found. Soil organic C and total N concentrations were 23%-31.6% and 14%-27.2% higher under the shrub canopies than in the shrub interspaces, respectively, giving rise to 'islands of fertility'. In a desertified sandy grassland ecosystem, C. microphylla was believed to play a major role in organic C sequestration, N accumulation, and the hydrologic cycle. Additionally, it has been found to be of ecological importance for vegetative restoration and reversal of desertification.

The composition and stability of soil aggregate are closely related to soil quality, soil erosion, and agricultural sustainability. In this study, 49 soil samples at the 0-10 cm surface layer were collected from four soil types （i.e., Ari-Sandic Primosols, Calci-Orthic Aridosols, Siltigi-Otrthic Anthrosols, and Ustic Cambosols） in the marginal farmland in the oasis of the middle Hexi Corridor region and was used to determine the characteristics of soil aggregates. The composition of dry- and wet- sieved aggregates and the physical and chemical properties （including soil particle distribution, soil organic carbon （SOC）, calcium carbonate （CaCO3）, and oxides of Fe^3＋ and Al^3＋） of the selected soils were analyzed. The results show that soil particle size distribution is dominated by fine sand fraction in most of soils except Ustic Cambosols. Soil organic carbon concentration is 5.88 ± 2.52 g kg^-1 on average, ranging from 4.75 g kg^-1 in Ari-Sandic Primosols to 10.51 g kg^-1 in Ustic Cambosols. The soils have high calcium carbonate （CaCO3） concentration, ranging from 84.7 to 164.8 g kg^-1, which is increased with soil fine particle and organic carbon content. The percentage of 〉0.25 mm dry aggregates ranges from 65.2% in Ari-Sandic Primosols to 94.6% in Ustic Cambosols, and large dry blocky aggregates （〉5 mm） is dominant in all soils. The mean weight diameter of dry aggregates （DMWD） ranges from 3.2 mm to 5.5 mm. The percentage of 〉0.25 mm water-stable aggregate is from 23.8% to 45.4%. The percentage of aggregate destruction （PAD） is from 52.4% to 66.8%, which shows a weak aggregate stability. Ari-Sandic Primosols has the highest PAD. The distribution and characteristics of soil aggregates are in favor of controlling soil wind erosion. However, the stability of aggregate of all soils is weak and soils are prone to disperse and harden after irrigation. Two new supramoleeular polymers [ M （2-NH2 py）2 （ox） ] [ M = Co （1）, Ni （2） ; 2-NH2py = 2-aminopyridine; ox = oxalate ] were hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, IR and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. The isomorphic compounds 1 and 2 both possess one-dimensional zigzag chain structures, which are composed of [ M （2-NH2 py）2 ]^2＋ units bridged by tetradentate oxalate ligands to form three-dimensional supramolecular network v/a the C-H…O hydrogen bonds and π-π stacking interactions. Compound 1 displays antiferromagnetie interaction.

Temporal variations of CO_2 concentration near land surface and its response to meteorological variables in Heihe River Basin, northwest China

Atmospheric CO2 concentration （CC） near land surface and meteorological variables have been measured at four sites, named Yeniugou （alpine meadow and permafrost）, Xishui （mountainous forest）, Linze （oasis edge） and Ejina （lower desert）, respectively, in Heihe River Basin, northwest China. The results showed that, the half hourly CC at night was larger than in daytime, and the daily averaged CC was the largest in winter. The averaged CC of 932 d at the Linze was about 418 ppm, was about 366 ppm in the 762 d at the Ejina. In the same period from September 23 to November 9, 2004, the averaged CC was about 625,334, 436 and 353 ppm, at Yeniugou, Xishui, Linze and Ejina, respectively. The linear relationship between daily averaged CC and air temperature T was negative, between CC and relative humidity （RH） was positive. The linear CC-atmospheric pressure （A P） relationship was negative at the Linze and Yeniugou, was positive at the Ejina. The relationship between CC and global radiation R was exponent, and soil temperature Ts was negative linear, and soil water content was complex. The correlation between CC and wind speed was not existent. Using meteorological variables together to simulate CC, could give good results.
