Co-free Li-rich layered oxides(LLOs)are emerging as promising cathode materials for Li-ion batteries due to their low cost and high ***,they commonly face severe structural instability and poor electrochemical activity,leading to diminished capacity and voltage ***,we introduce a Co-free LLO,Li_(1.167)Ni_(0.2.2.Mn_(0.611)O_(2.(Cf-L1),which features a cooperative structure of Li/Ni mixing and stacking *** structure regulates the crystal and electronic structures,resulting in a higher discharge capacity of 300.6 ma h g^(-1)and enhanced rate capability compared to the typical Co-free LLO,Li_(1.2.Ni_(0.2.Mn_(0.6)O_(2.(Cf-Ls).Density functional theory(DFT)indicates that Li/Ni mixing in LLOs leads to increased Li-O-Li configurations and higher anionic redox activities,while stacking faults further optimize the electronic interactions of transition metal(TM)3d and non-bonding O 2. ***,stacking faults accommodate lattice strain,improving electrochemical reversibility during charge/discharge cycles,as demonstrated by the in situ XRD of Cf-L1 showing less lattice evo{2.tion than *** study offers a structured approach to developing Co-free LLOs with enhanced capacity,voltage,rate capability,and cyclability,significantly impacting the advancement of the next-generation Li-ion batteries.

A profound understanding of the mechanical behaviors of marble is very important for the design and construction of deep diversion tunnels in Jinping II hydropower *** this paper,a coupled elasto-plastic-damage mechanical model is presented for Jinping ***,the experimental investigations on Jinping marble are ***,based on the framework of continuum damage and plastic theories,a general mechanical model is proposed to predict the mechanical responses of Jinping *** proposed model is used to simulate the triaxial compressive tests,and there is a general good agreement between experimental data and numerical predictions in a qualitative *** proposed model is able to capture the main features of Jinping marble observed in experiments,such as progressive yielding process,damage induced by plastic distortion,dilation,elastic degradation and stress sensitivity.

The 1605 M7½ Earthquake is the only earthquake in the history of China that has caused large-scale land subsidence into the sea,with the total area of land subsidence exceeding 100 *** disaster has led to the sinking of 72.*** is still no clear understanding of the source seismogenic fault of this *** this work,we conducted a detailed study of the middle segment of the maniao-Puqian fault(MPF),which is the epicenter area,through geomorphological survey,data collection,shallow seismic exploration,cross-section drilling,and chronological *** results showed that the middle segment of the MPF zone is composed of three nearly parallel normal faults with a dextral strike-slip:“macun-luodou fault(F2.1),Haixiu-Dongyuan fault(F2.2.,and ChangliuZhuxihe fault(F2.3)”.And F2.2.is composed of two secondary faults,namely F2.2.and F2.2.,with a flower-shaped structure buried under the *** is distributed nearly east-west,dipping to the north and has experienced at least five stages of activities since the *** vertical activity rates of F2.2.and F2.2.are~2.32.and~2.5 mm/a,since the Holocene,*** were eight cycles of transgression and regression since the *** fault activity resulted in the thickening of the Holocene strata with a slight dip to the south,on the hanging wall,showing V-shaped *** MPF is likely the source seismogenic fault of the M7½ earthquake that hit Qiongshan in 1605.

The interfacial characteristics of the Li metal anode(Lma)play a crucial role in its overall *** various materials being applied to modify the interface,a comprehensive understanding of their specific mechanisms remains to be ***,we have prepared carbon cloth(CC)frameworks with their surfaces modified using ferromagnetic metal/LiF heterogeneous films(T^(M)-LiF-CC)as the substrate for Lma,which exhibit superior electrochemical *** ferromagnetic Co as a representative example,our study demonstrates that the enhanced performance of Co-LiF-CC,compared to bare CC,is attributed to the spinpolarized interface contributed by the Co/LiF *** and LiF play individual roles in redistributing electrons and Li^(+)to promote homogeneous Li *** nanoparticles play a crucial role in generating strong surface capacitance by storing electrons in spin-split bands,while LiF,with low surface diffusion barriers,ensures fast transportation of Li^(+).The Co-LiF-CC@Li electrodes deliver long lives of 7400 and 3600 h at 1 and 2.ma·cm^(-2.in symmetric cells,respectively;moreover,they enable full batteries with high and durable capacities,particularly when the N/P ratios are low(3.3 or even 1.7).

The northwest trending tectonic belt in the middle part of the Mesozoic intraplate Yanshan Orogenic Belt, northeast Hebei Province, is composed of thrusts, extensional faults, strike-slip faults and syntectonic sedimentations as well. The northeastward basement-involved major thrusting deformation occurred between 174ma and 168maBP and was followed by an intrusion of the granitic plutonic rocks. As a part of the post-thrusting extensional deformations a northwest extending volcano-sedimentation system of Late Jurassic and Early Cretaceous formed in the southwest side of the belt. These volcano-sedimentary sequences are divided into Tuchengzi Formation, zhangjiakou Formation, yixian Formation and Jiufotang Formation re- spectively. They are characterized by {12.ward migration as a result of the increasing down-dip slip displacement along the major extensional fault toward the {12. of the belt. The provenance area of the Jiufotang Formation north to it experienced southwestward thrusting during and after its later sedimentation. The thrusting in this stage resulted in the formation of an asymmetric footwall syncline with vergence to SW in the Jiufotang Formation in the NE side of the basin. Finally a dextral strike-slip deformation occurred along the NW tectonic belt. The striking tectono-geomorphological features and present seismic activities along this belt indicate that it has been being active since Cenozoic era and is still in the active state at present. This northwest extending tectonic belt was following the same direction and location as the existing fault systems within the basement as revealed by former geological and geophysical studies. So it is reasonable to infer the Mesozoic deformation along this belt to be a result of reactivation of the basement structures in a favorable tectonic stress field. The reactivation of basement struc- tures might be taken as one of the mechanisms of intraplate deformation and orogeny.

Prediction of soil organic carbon stock combining Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2.images in the Zoige Plateau, the northeastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau

Background Soil organic carbon（SOC） is a critical component of the global carbon cycle, and an accurate estimate of regional SOC stock（SOCS） would significantly improve our understanding of SOC sequestration and cycles. Zoige Plateau, locating in the northeastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, has the largest alpine marsh wetland worldwide and exhibits a high sensitivity to climate fluctuations. Despite an increasing use of optical remote sensing in predicting regional SOCS, optical remote sensing has obvious limitations in the Zoige Plateau due to highly cloudy weather, and knowledge of on the spatial patterns of SOCS is limited. Therefore, in the current study, the spatial distributions of SOCS within 100 cm were predicted using an XGBoost model—a machine learning approach, by integrating Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2.and field observations in the Zoige *** The results showed that SOC content exhibited vertical distribution patterns within 100 cm, with the highest SOC content in topsoil. The tenfold cross-validation approach showed that XGBoost model satisfactorily predicted the spatial patterns of SOCS with a model efficiency of 0.59 and a root mean standard error of 95.2.Mg ha-1. Predicted SOCS showed a distinct spatial heterogeneity in the Zoige Plateau, with an average of 355.7 ± 12..1 Mg ha-1within 100 cm and totaled 0.2. × 10～9 Mg *** High SOC content in topsoil highlights the high risks of significant carbon loss from topsoil due to human activities in the Zoige Plateau. Combining Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2.satisfactorily predicted SOCS using the XGBoost model, which demonstrates the importance of selecting modeling approaches and satellite images to improve efficiency in predicting SOCS distribution at a fine spatial resolution of 10 m. Analysis of sea surface temperature fronts in the Taiwan Strait and its adjacent area using an advanced edge detection method

A morphology-based edge detection method has been used to study sea surface temperature (SST) fronts in the Taiwan Strait and its adjacent area. The method is based on mathematical morphology with multi-dimensional and multi-structural elements. Using six years’ SST data from September 2.02.to August 2.08, we distinguished the large SST front like Kuroshio Front as well as the smaller ones: namely Taiwan Bank Front, Zhe-Min Coastal Front and zhang-Yun Ridge Front. The seasonal and monthly variations of these fronts were also studied. Generally, the SST fronts are stronger in winter but weaker in summer. And the fronts are at their active stage during the period from January to may but at their declining stage during the period from July to October.

Reversible Mn^(2.)/Mn^(4+)double-electron redox in P3-type layer-structured sodium-ion cathode

The balance between cationic redox and oxygen redox in layer-structured cathode materials is an important issue for sodium batteries to obtain high energy density and considerable cycle *** redox can contribute extra capacity to increase energy density,but results in lattice instability and capacity fading caused by lattice oxygen gliding and oxygen *** this work,reversible Mn^(2.)/Mn^(4+)redox is realized in a P3-Na_(0.65)Li_(0.2.Co_(0.05)Mn_(0.75)O_(2.cathode material with high specific capacity and structure stability via Co *** contribution of oxygen redox is suppressed significantly by reversible Mn^(2.)/Mn^(4+)redox without sacrificing capacity,thus reducing lattice oxygen release and improving the structure *** X-ray techniques reveal that P3 phase is well maintained in a wide voltage window of 1.5-4.5 V ***^(+)/Na even at 10 C and after long-term *** is disclosed that charge compensation from Co/Mn-ions contributes to the voltage region below 4.2.V and O-ions contribute to the whole voltage *** synergistic contributions of Mn^(2.)/Mn^(4+),Co^(2.)/Co^(3+),and O^(2.)/(O_n)^(2.)redox in P3-Na_(0.65)Li_(0.2.Co_(0.05)Mn_(0.75)O_(2.lead to a high reversible capacity of 2.5.0 m A h g^(-1)at 0.1 C with considerable cycle *** strategy opens up new opportunities for the design of high capacity cathode materials for rechargeable batteries.

We present a comprehensive analysis of the 2.2. outburst of maXI J1803–2.8 utilizing observations of the Insight-Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope(Insight-HXMT)spanning from the low hard state to the high soft *** the Insight-HXMT data set,compared to the previous work,we identify a more prolonged presence of typeC quasi-periodic oscillations(QPOs)with centroid frequencies ranging from~0.16 to 6.3 Hz,which present correlations with the hardness ratio and the photon index of the Comptonized *** QPO frequencies less than~2.Hz,the QPO phase lags are hard(photons of 10–19 keV arrive later than those of 1–4 keV),while at higher frequencies,the lags become soft at and above~4 ***,the spectra in all Insight-HXMT observations consist of a multi-color blackbody component and a Comptonized component,as commonly observed in classical black hole X-ray *** analyze state transitions and the evolution of accretion geometry in this *** fitted inner disk radius increases abnormally during the low hard state,hypothesized to result from the corona condensing onto the inner ***,two significant drops in flux are observed during the soft intermediate state,maybe implying changes in the corona/jet and the disk,respectively.
