A multi-feature-based intelligent redundancy elimination scheme for cloud-assisted health systems

Redundancy elimination techniques are extensively investigated to reduce storage overheads for cloud-assisted health *** eliminates the redundancy of duplicate blocks by storing one physical instance referenced by multiple *** compression is usually regarded as a complementary technique to deduplication to further remove the redundancy of similar blocks,but our observations indicate that this is disobedient when data have sparse duplicate *** addition,there are many overlapped deltas in the resemblance detection process of post-deduplication delta compression,which hinders the efficiency of delta compression and the index phase of resemblance detection inquires abundant non-similar blocks,resulting in inefficient system ***,a multi-feature-based redundancy elimination scheme,called MFRE,is proposed to solve these *** similarity feature and temporal locality feature are excavated to assist redundancy elimination where the similarity feature well expresses the duplicate ***,similarity-based dynamic post-deduplication delta compression and temporal locality-based dynamic delta compression discover more similar base blocks to minimise overlapped deltas and improve compression ***,the clustering method based on block-relationship and the feature index strategy based on bloom filters reduce IO overheads and improve system *** demonstrate that the proposed method,compared to the state-of-the-art method,improves the compression ratio and system throughput by 9.68%and 50%,respectively.

Soil erosion by snow or ice melt waterflow is an important type of soil erosion in many high-altitude and high-latitude regions and is further aggravated by climate *** snowmelt waterflow erosion process is affected by soil freeze-thaws and is highly dynamically *** this study,a methodology was developed to conduct in situ field experiments to investigate the effects of the thawed depth of the frozen soil profile on snowmelt waterflow *** method was implemented on an alpine meadow soil slope at an altitude of 3700 m on the northeastern Tibetan *** erosion experiments involved five thawed soil depths of 0,10,30(35),50,and 80(100)mm under two snowmelt waterflow rates(3 and 5 L/min).When the topsoil was fully frozen or shallow-thawed(≤10 mm),its hydrothermal and structural properties caused a significant lag in the initiation of runoff and delayed soil erosion in the initial *** runoff and sediment concentration curves for fully frozen and shallow-thawed soil showed two-stage patterns characteristic of a sediment supply limited in the early stage and subject to hydrodynamic-controlled processes in the later ***,this effect did not exist where the thawed soil depth was greater than 30 *** deep-thawed cases(≥30 mm)showed normal hydrograph and sedigraph patterns similar to those of the unfrozen *** findings of this study are important for understanding the erosion rates of partially thawed soil and for improving erosion simulations in cold regions.

The development and application of the small-grain rice sterile line Zhuo2.1.(Z2.1.)has demonstrated its potential for mechanized hybrid rice seed production,leading to significant cost ***,the molecular mechanism responsible for the small-grain size characteristic of Z2.1. remains *** this study,we conducted a genetic analysis using near-isogenic lines constructed from Z2.0S,a small-grain rice sterile line,and R2.1.,a normal-grain *** results revealed that the small-grain trait in Z2.1. is governed by a single partially dominant gene which also enhances grain *** mapping,we localized the causal gene to the short arm of chromosome 2.within a 113 kb physical region delimited by the molecular markers S2.4-1 and *** analysis and gene expression assays indicated LOC_Os02.1.760 as the most likely candidate gene,suggesting that the small-grain size trait of Z2.1. is controlled by a novel locus that has not been previously identified.

Dye molecules often change colors(so-called “chromism”) according to the environment variation. However, they are rarely induced by a catalytic amount of cavity. Through encapsulation in the cavity of a porous coordination cage(PCC-2., Rhodamine B(1) is transformed from red quinonoid form(1q) into colorless lactone form(1l) in aprotic polar solutions. The μ4-OH groups in the cavity of PCC-2.are shown to stabilize the uncommon zwitterion intermediate(1z), followed by converting to 1l, thus accelerating the equilibrium. The chromism is catalyzed by 0.2. mol% of PCC-2. and the reaction rate is improved by 80,400times. 1@PCC-2.can be further fabricated to a sol-gel that exhibits ion recognition properties. The resulting encapsulation and stabilization of an unconventional intermediate by a catalytic amount of the coordination cage provides fundamental insights into molecular isomerization and has potential use in chemical sensing.

Efficient extraction of electrode components from recycled lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)and their highvalue applications are critical for the sustainable and ecofriendly utilization of *** work demonstrates a novel approach to stripping graphite anodes embedded with Li^(+)from spent LIBs directly in anhydrous ethanol which can be utilized as high efficiency cathodes for aluminum-ion batteries(AIBs).Recycled graphite(RG)with foam morphology and crystal structure defects was obtained under the action of ultrasonic peeling and gas generation reaction between residual lithium-graphite interlayer compound and *** inherent open structure of RG facilitates the intercalation/deintercalation of chloralum anions(AlCl_(4)^(-))and enhances its AIB cathode *** electrochemical measurements revea that the RG cathode has a specific capacity of 12. m Ah·g^(-1)at a current of 5 A·g^(-1),which is 1.55 times higher than tha of unprocessed natural graphite and 1.2. times higher than that of commercial artificial ***,the RG cathode demonstrated remarkable stability,retaining its high particular capacity of 138.15 mAh·g^(-1)even through2.00 times at 10 A·g^(-1)in a low-cost electrolyte consisting of an ionic liquid/urea/AlCl_(3)*** work offers a novel approach to reusing of graphite anode waste materials from LIBs.

Morphological and structural characteristics of the fruit body, basidiospore and mycelium of artificially cultivated Lactarius hatsutake Tanaka and the ectomycorrhiza of L. hatsutakePinus massoniana were examined using light and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Basidiospores were 5.87～6.40×7.04～7.62.μm, and had surface ridges 0.30～0.45 μm high and 0.39 μm wide; the widest space between two adjacent ridges was 2.0 μm. The ectomycorrhiza surface was covered with a layer of light-colored and compact hyphae that formed a mycelial mantle with an average thickness of 9.31 μm, and the average thickness of the Hartig net was 63.86 μm. The mantle had a reticulate structure with holes that were mostly rhomboid and occasionally irregular quadrangular in shape. The length of the net hole was 2.85 times the width which, in turn, was six times the width of the net ridge. The ratio of the hyphal diameter, mycelial mantle thickness, Hartig net thickness and ectomycorrhizal diameter was 1∶4.7∶31.9∶138.4. No clamp connections were seen between adjacent hypha cells of the fungal mycelium irrespective of whether the hyphal emanated from the ectomycorrhiza, or from slant or submerged cultures grown on artificial media.

The use of oseltamivir,widely stockpiled as one of the drugs for use in a possible avian influenza pandemic,has beenreported to be associated with neuropsychiatric disorders and severe skin reactions,primarily in *** we identi-fied a nonsynonymous SNP(single nucleotide polymorphism)in dbSNP database,R41 Q,near the enzymatic active siteof human cytosolic sialidase,a homologue of virus neuraminidase that is the target of *** SNP occurredin 9.2.% of Asian population and none of European and African American *** structural analyses and Kimeasurements using in vitro sialidase assays indicated that this SNP could increase the unintended binding affinity ofhuman sialidase to oseltamivir carboxylate,the active form of oseltamivir,thus reducing sialidase *** addition,this SNP itself results in an enzyme with an intrinsically lower sialidase activity,as shown by its increased Km anddecreased Vmax *** administration of oseltamivir to people with this SNP might further reduce theirsialidase *** note the similarity between the reported neuropsychiatric side effects of oseltamivir and the knownsymptoms of human sialidase-related *** propose that this Asian-enriched sialidase variation caused by theSNP,likely in homozygous form,may be associated with certain severe adverse reactions to oseltamivir.
