Understanding the failure mechanism towards developing high-voltage single-crystal Ni-rich Co-free cathodes

Benefited from its high process feasibility and controllable costs,binary-metal layered structured LiNi_(0.8)Mn_(0.2.O_(2.(NM)can effectively alleviate the cobalt supply crisis under the surge of global electric vehicles(EVs)sales,which is considered as the most promising nextgeneration cathode material for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).However,the lack of deep understanding on the failure mechanism of NM has seriously hindered its application,especially under the harsh condition of high-voltage without sacrifices of reversible ***,singlecrystal LiNi_(0.8)Mn_(0.2.O_(2. is selected and compared with traditional LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2.(NCM),mainly focusing on the failure mechanism of Cofree cathode and illuminating the significant effect of Co element on the Li/Ni antisite defect and dynamic ***,the presence of high Li/Ni antisite defect in NM cathode easily results in the extremely dramatic H2.H3 phase transition,which exacerbates the distortion of the lattice,mechanical strain changes and exhibits poor electrochemical performance,especially under the high cutoff ***,the reaction kinetic of NM is impaired due to the absence of Co element,especially at the single-crystal ***,the negative influence of Li/Ni antisite defect is controllable at low current densities,owing to the attenuated ***,Co-free NM can exhibit better safety performance than that of NCM *** findings are beneficial for understanding the fundamental reaction mechanism of single-crystal Ni-rich Co-free cathode materials,providing new insights and great encouragements to design and develop the next generation of LIBs with low-cost and high-safety performances.

Various deep learning models have been proposed for the accurate assisted diagnosis of early-stage Alzheimer’s disease(AD).Most studies predominantly employ Convolutional Neural Networks(CNNs),which focus solely on local features,thus encountering difficulties in handling global *** contrast to natural images,Structural Magnetic Resonance Imaging(sMRI)images exhibit a higher number of channel ***,during the Position Embedding stage ofMulti Head Self Attention(MHSA),the coded information related to the channel dimension is *** tackle these issues,we propose theRepBoTNet-CESA network,an advanced AD-aided diagnostic model that is capable of learning local and global features *** combines the advantages of CNN networks in capturing local information and Transformer networks in integrating global information,reducing computational costs while achieving excellent classification ***,it uses the Cubic Embedding Self Attention(CESA)proposed in this paper to incorporate the channel code information,enhancing the classification performance within the Transformer ***,the RepBoTNet-CESA performs well in various AD-aided diagnosis tasks,with an accuracy of 96.58%,precision of 97.2.%,and recall of 96.2.%in the AD/NC task;an accuracy of 92.75%,precision of 92.84%,and recall of 93.18%in the EMCI/NC task;and an accuracy of 80.97%,precision of 83.86%,and recall of 80.91%in the AD/EMCI/LMCI/NC *** demonstrates that RepBoTNet-CESA delivers outstanding outcomes in various AD-aided diagnostic ***,our study has shown that MHSA exhibits superior performance compared to conventional attention mechanisms in enhancing ResNet ***,the Deeper RepBoTNet-CESA network fails to make further progress in AD-aided diagnostic tasks.

This paper discusses the parallel computing of the third generation Ocean General Circulation Model (OGCM) from the State Key Laboratory of Numerical Modeling for Atmospheric science and Geophysical Fluid Dynamics(LASG),Institute of Atmosphere Physics(IAP). Meanwhile, several optimization strategies for parallel computing of OGCM (POGCM) on Scalable Shared Memory Multiprocessor (S2.P) are presented. Using Message Passing Interface (MPI), we obtain super linear speedup on SGI Origin 2.00 for parallel OGCM(POGCM) after optimization.

Impulse radio ultra-wideband (IR-UWB) technique has good performance in the application of high-precision localization since it possesses unique properties such as large instantaneous bandwidth and high time resolution. Making IR-UWB localization technology a growing hot topic in recent research field, therefore, it is necessary for us to give an overview of it in this paper. The TOA estimation, error analysis, NLOS identification and NLOS localization are studied in details based on the ranging methods. Simultaneously the UWB localization applications and practical problems are pointed out. At last, we outline the challenges for further research of IR-UWB localization.

Allocation of grid resources aims at improving resource utility and grid application performance. Currently, the algorithms proposed for this purpose do not fit well the autonomic, dynamic, distributive and heterogeneous features of the grid environment. According to MAS （multi-agent system） cooperation mechanism and market bidding game rules, a model of allocating allocation of grid resources based on market economy is introduced to reveal the relationship between supply and demand. This model can make good use of the studying and negotiating ability of consumers＇ agent and takes full consideration of the consumer＇s behavior, thus rendering the application and allocation of resource of the consumers rational and valid. In the meantime, the utility function of consumer is given; the existence and the uniqueness of Nash equilibrium point in the resource allocation game and the Nash equilibrium solution are discussed. A dynamic game algorithm of allocating grid resources is designed. Experimental results demonstrate that this algorithm diminishes effectively the unnecessary latency, improves significantly the smoothness of response time, the ratio of throughput and resource utility, thus rendering the supply and demand of the whole grid resource reasonable and the overall grid load balanceable.

The description and differentiation of the so-called "Cold" and "Hot" natures, the primary "Drug Naure" of Chinese medicine, is the focus of theoretical research. In this study, the divergency between the "Cold" and the "Hot" natures was investigated through examining the temperature tropism of mice affected by Coptis chinensis Franch and its processed materials by using a cold/hot plate differentiating technology. After exposure to C. chinensis Franch, the macroscopic behavioral index of the remaining rate (RR) on a warm pad (40℃ ) significantly increased (P<0.05), suggesting the enhancement of Hot tropism. The internal indexes of adenosine triphosphatase (ATPase) activity and oxygen consuming volume decreased significantly (P<0.05), suggesting the decapability of energy metabolism. This external behavior of Hot tropism might reflect the internal Cold nature of C. chinensis Franch. However, the processed materials of C. chinensis Franch exhibited a different Cold nature in temperature tropism compared with crude C. chinensis Franch (CC): the Cold nature of bile-processed C. chinensis Franch (BC) enhanced while the ginger-processed C. chinensis Franch (GC) changed inversely. The changing sequence was consistent with the theoretical prognostication. It is indicated that the external Cold & Hot natures of Chinese medicine may possibly reflect in an ethological way for the changes of animal’s temperature tropism which might be internally regulated by the body’s energy metabolism.

Redundancy elimination techniques are extensively investigated to reduce storage overheads for cloud-assisted health *** eliminates the redundancy of duplicate blocks by storing one physical instance referenced by multiple *** compression is usually regarded as a complementary technique to deduplication to further remove the redundancy of similar blocks,but our observations indicate that this is disobedient when data have sparse duplicate *** addition,there are many overlapped deltas in the resemblance detection process of post-deduplication delta compression,which hinders the efficiency of delta compression and the index phase of resemblance detection inquires abundant non-similar blocks,resulting in inefficient system ***,a multi-feature-based redundancy elimination scheme,called MFRE,is proposed to solve these *** similarity feature and temporal locality feature are excavated to assist redundancy elimination where the similarity feature well expresses the duplicate ***,similarity-based dynamic post-deduplication delta compression and temporal locality-based dynamic delta compression discover more similar base blocks to minimise overlapped deltas and improve compression ***,the clustering method based on block-relationship and the feature index strategy based on bloom filters reduce IO overheads and improve system *** demonstrate that the proposed method,compared to the state-of-the-art method,improves the compression ratio and system throughput by 9.68%and 50%,respectively.

A deep Koopman operator-based modelling approach for long-term prediction of dynamics with pixel-level measurements

Although previous studies have made some clear leap in learning latent dynamics from high-dimensional representations,the performances in terms of accuracy and inference time of long-term model prediction still need to be *** this study,a deep convolutional network based on the Koopman operator(CKNet)is proposed to model non-linear systems with pixel-level measurements for long-term *** adopts an autoencoder network architecture,consisting of an encoder to generate latent states and a linear dynamical model(i.e.,the Koopman operator)which evolves in the latent state space spanned by the *** decoder is used to recover images from latent *** to a multi-step ahead prediction loss function,the system matrices for approximating the Koopman operator are trained synchronously with the autoencoder in a mini-batch *** this manner,gradients can be synchronously transmitted to both the system matrices and the autoencoder to help the encoder self-adaptively tune the latent state space in the training process,and the resulting model is time-invariant in the latent ***,the proposed CKNet has the advantages of less inference time and high accuracy for long-term *** are per-formed on OpenAI Gym and Mujoco environments,including two and four non-linear forced dynamical systems with continuous action *** experimental results show that CKNet has strong long-term prediction capabilities with sufficient precision.

An admissible manifold wavelet kernel is proposed to construct manifold wavelet support vector machine(MWSVM) for stock returns *** manifold wavelet kernel is obtained by incorporating manifold theory into wavelet technique in support vector machine(SVM).Since manifold wavelet function can yield features that describe of the stock time series both at various locations and at varying time granularities,the MWSVM can approximate arbitrary nonlinear functions and forecast stock returns *** applicability and validity of MWSVM for stock returns forecasting is confirmed through experiments on real-world stock data.
