Delirium is a severe acute neuropsychiatric syndrome that commonly occurs in the elderly and is considered an independent risk factor for later ***,given its inherent complexity,few animal models of delirium have been established and the mechanism underlying the onset of delirium remains ***,we conducted a comparison of three mouse models of delirium induced by clinically relevant risk factors,including anesthesia with surgery(AS),systemic inflammation,and neurotransmission *** found that both bacterial lipopolysaccharide(LPS)and cholinergic receptor antagonist scopolamine(Scop)induction reduced neuronal activities in the delirium-related brain network,with the latter presenting a similar pattern of reduction as found in delirium ***,Scop injection resulted in reversible cognitive impairment with hyperactive *** loss of cholinergic neurons was found with treatment,but hippocampal synaptic functions were *** findings provide further clues regarding the mechanism underlying delirium onset and demonstrate the successful application of the Scop injection model in mimicking delirium-like phenotypes in mice.

The Chinese Small Telescope Array （CSTAR） is the first Chinese astronomical instrument on the Antarctic ice cap. The low temperature and low pressure testing of the data acquisition system was carried out in a laboratory refrigerator and on the 4500 m Pamirs high plateau, respectively. The results from the final four nights of test observations demonstrated that CSTAR was ready for operation at Dome A, Antarctica. In this paper, we present a description of CSTAR and the performance derived from the test observations.

应用激光多光子电离质谱与超声脉冲分子束技术研究了乙醚团簇,实验中观测到乙醚的碎片离子以及强度较小的(E)H+,(E)2+和(E)2H+(E代表CH3CH2OCH2CH3),没有发现更大尺寸的团簇离子.结合从头计算理论,在B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p)基组水平上对乙醚团簇的可能构型进行优化及能量计算,发现乙醚二聚体的最稳定构型是一个乙醚分子中的氧原子和乙基分别与另一个乙醚分子的乙基和氧原子构成环状结构,考虑基组重叠误差修正的结合能为9.35meV,与其分子间的偶极-偶极相互作用能相当,远小于通过氢键结合的乙醚-水复合物的结合能221.93meV.由此推测乙醚通过偶极-偶极弱相互作用形成团簇,且以二聚体为核生长.由于结合能随团簇尺寸的增大而减小,因而实验中不易观测到更大尺寸的团簇.

Spatial resolution defines the physical limit of microscopes for probing biomolecular localization and interactions in cells. Whereas synchrotron-based X-ray microscopy(XRM) represents a unique approach for imaging a whole cell with nanoscale resolution due to its intrinsic nanoscale resolution and great penetration ability, existing approaches to label biomolecules rely on the use of exogenous tags that are multi-step and error-prone. here, we repurpose engineered peroxidases as genetically encoded X-ray-sensitive tags(GXET) for site-specific labeling of protein-of-interest in mammalian cells. We find that 3,3-diaminobenzidine(DAB) polymers that are in-situ catalytically formed by fusion-expressed peroxidases are visible under XRM. Using this new tag, we imaged the protein location associated with the alteration of a DNA-methylation pathway with an ultra-high resolution of 30 nanometers. Importantly, the excellent energy resolution of XRM enables multicolor imaging using different peroxidase tags. The development of GXET enlightens the way to nanoscopic imaging for biological studies.

用355nm激光对脉冲分子束超声膨胀冷却的甲醇分子进行多光子电离,飞行时间质谱仪观测到除甲醇碎片离子外的质子化甲醇团簇(CH3OH)nH+(n=1-16),且离子的种类及相对强度与激光相对于脉冲分子束的延时无关,取决于团簇离子内在结构的稳定性.结合从头算密度泛函理论,在B3LYP/6-31G(d)基组水平上优化得到了(CH3OH)n和(CH3OH)nH+(n=1-4)的稳定构型.振动频谱分析显示,团簇中最强的红外振动模主要来自氢键H伸缩振动的贡献.团簇电离后发生于团簇内的质子转移反应也可能与激光电离引起的与氢键有关的振动模激发密切相关.

Corona virus disease 2019(COVID-19)due to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)infection has affected the whole *** thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura(TTP)has been reported after administration of mRNA-or adenoviral vector-based COVID-19 vaccines,including ***2-S,BNT162b2,mRNA-1273,and ChAdOx1 ***,whether inactivated vaccines,such as CoronaVac,could cause TTP and whether the symptoms in TTPs caused by inactivated vaccines are different from previously reported cases are *** this study,two cases were *** cases developed TTP after the second CoronaVac vaccination shot,but not the *** demonstrated symptoms of fever,neurological abnormalities,renal dysfunction,thrombocytopenia,and *** patients achieved complete remission through several sessions of plasma exchanges and immune *** incidence of TTP in Nanjing area was *** number of patients with TTP was 12 in 2019,6 in 2020,16 in 2021,and 19 in *** the authors’knowledge,this report is the first report of TTP associated with inactivated COVID-19 vaccine(CoronaVac).The rarity and delayed onset may be due to the relatively milder immune response caused by the inactivated vaccines than mRNA-based *** plasma exchange is a vital treatment for CoronaVac-related TTP,similar to activated vaccine-related TTP.

By using HPGe γ-ray spectrometry, the activity of the long-lived fission product 126Sn in a SnOB2 sample was measured. The number of 126Sn atoms and the ratio of 126Sn to Sn were calculated based on the half-life value of 2.35×105a and the chemical stoichiometry. The result of the ratio of 126Sn to Sn, （1.033±0.037）×10-8, is consistent with the results measured by the accelerator mass spectrometry （AMS） within uncertainty limits, which confirms our procedures in the measurement of 126Sn by AMS and lays a foundation for the AMS measurement of 126Sn at much lower levels.
