Propylene carbonate(PC)-based electrolytes have exhibited significant advantages in boosting the low-temperature discharging of graphite-based Li-ion ***,it is still unclear whether they can improve the charging property and suppress lithium *** this topic is challenging due to the problem of electrochemical *** overcome this issue,we introduced graphite with phase *** results show that the pouch-type full batteries using PC-based electrolyte exhibit steady performance over 500 cycles and can be reversibly charged over 30 times at-20℃ with an average Coulombic efficiency of 99.95%,while the corresponding value for the conventional ethylene carbonate(EC)-based electrolyte sample is only 31.20%.This indicates that the use of PC-based electrolyte significantly suppresses lithium plating during low-temperature *** further demonstrate that the improved performance is mainly attributed to the unique solvation structure,where pf-6more anions participate in solvation,leading to the formation of a stable F-rich solid state electrolyte interface on the graphite surface and a lower reduction tendency of Li+*** work inspires new ideas for the design of PC-based electrolytes for low-temperature charging and fast-charging batteries.

Perovskite solar cells(PSCs)have seen remarkable progress in recent years,largely attributed to various additives that enhance both efficiency and *** these,fluorine-containing additives have garnered significant interest because of their unique hydrophobic properties,effective defect passivation,and regulation capability on the crystallization ***,a targeted structural approach to design such additives is necessary to further enhance the performance of ***,fluoroalkyl ethylene with different fluoroalkyl chain lengths(CH_(2)CH(CF_(2))nCF_(3),n=3,5,and 7)as liquid additives is used to investigate influences of fluoroalkyl chain lengths on crystallization regulation and defect *** findings indicate that optimizing the quantity of F groups plays a crucial role in regulating the electron cloud distribution within the additive *** optimization fosters strong hydrogen bonds and coordination effects with FA+and uncoordinated Pb^(2+),ultimately enhancing crystal quality and device ***,1H,1H,2H-perfluoro-1-hexene(pf_(3))with the optimal number of F presents the most effective modulation effect.A PSC utilizing pf_(3)achieves an efficiency of 24.05%,and exhibits exceptional stability against humidity and thermal *** work sheds light on the importance of tailored structure designs in additives for achieving high-performance PSCs.

Despite a specific data assimilation method,data assimilation(DA)in general can be decomposed into components of the prior information,observation forward operator that is given by the observation type,observation error covariances,and background error *** a classic Lorenz model,the influences of the DA components on the initial conditions(ICs)and subsequent forecasts are systematically investigated,which could provide a theoretical basis for the design of DA for different scales of *** forecast errors undergo three typical stages:a slow growth stage from 0 h to 5 d,a fast growth stage from 5 d to around 15 d with significantly different error growth rates for ensemble and deterministic forecasts,and a saturation stage after 15 *** strategies that provide more accurate ICs can improve the *** assimilation is superior to offline assimilation,and a flow-dependent background error covariance matrix(pf)provides better analyses than a static background error covariance matrix(B)for instantaneous observations and frequent time-averaged observations;but the opposite is true for infrequent time-averaged observations,since cycling simulation cannot construct informative priors when the model lacks predictive skills and the flow-dependent pf cannot effectively extract information from low-informative observations as the static *** observations contain more information than time-averaged observations,thus the former is preferred,especially for infrequent observing ***,ensemble forecasts have advantages over deterministic forecasts,and the advantages are enlarged with less informative observations and lower predictive-skill model priors.

The synergetic effect and underlying mechanism of potassium ferrate(pf)with tea saponin(TS,a biosurfactant)in producing short chain fatty acids(SCFAs)from anaerobic fermentation of waste activated sludge(WAS)were explored in this *** results showed that 0.2 g pf(g TSS)^(-1)(total suspended solid)combined with 0.02 g TS(g TSS)^(-1) could further improve SCFAs’production,and the maximum SCFAs content reached 2008.7 mg COD L^(-1),which is 1.2 and 4.5 times higher than those with pf and TS individually added,respectively,and 5.3 times higher than that of blank WAS on Day *** the model substrates experiments,the degradation rates of bovine serum albumin and dextran with combination of pf and TS were 41.3%±0.1% and 48.5%±0.06%,respectively,on Day 3,which are lower than those in blank WAS(with degradation rates of 72.3%±0.5%and 90.3%±0.3%).It was revealed that the oxidative effect of pf and the solubilization of TS caused more organic matters to be dissolved out from WAS,providing a large number of biodegradable substances for subsequent SCFAs *** WAS pretreated with the combination of pf and TS,the relative abundances of Firmicutes increased from 6.4%(blank)to 38.6%,and that of Proteobacteria decreased from 41.8%(blank)to 21.8%.The combination of pf and TS promoted the hydrolysis process of WAS by enriching Firmicutes,and then increased acetic acid production by inhibiting Proteobacteria that consumed ***,at the genus level,acidogenesis bacteria(e.g.,Proteiniclasticum and Petrimonas)were enriched whereas SCFAs consuming bacteria(e.g.,Dokdonella)were inhibited.

Due to the strong unsteadiness of pulse detonation,large flow losses are generated when the detonation wave interacts with the turbine blades,resulting in low turbine *** that the flow losses are dissipated into the gas as heat energy,some of them can be recycled during the expansion process in subsequent stages by the reheat effect,which should be helpful to improve the detonationdriven turbine *** this into account,this paper developed a numerical model of the detonation chamber coupled with a two-stage axial turbine,and a stoichiometric hydrogen-air mixture was *** improvement in turbine efficiency attributable to the reheat effect was calculated by comparing the average efficiency of the stages with the efficiency of the two-stage *** research indicated that the first stage was critical in suppressing the flow unsteadiness caused by pulse detonation,which stabilized the intake condition of the second stage and consequently allowed much of the flow losses from the first stage to be recycled,so that the efficiency of the two-stage turbine was *** a 95%confidence level,the efficiency improvement was stable at 4.5%—5.3%,demonstrating that the reheat effect is significant in improving the efficiency of the detonation-driven turbine.

In recent years,with the increasing demand for social production,engineering design problems have gradually become more and more *** novel and well-performing meta-heuristic algorithms have been studied and developed to cope with this *** them,the Spherical Evolutionary Algorithm(SE)is one of the classical representative methods that proposed in recent years with admirable optimization ***,it tends to stagnate prematurely to local optima in solving some specific ***,this paper proposes an SE variant integrating the Cross-search Mutation(CSM)and Gaussian Backbone Strategy(GBS),called *** this study,the CSM can enhance its social learning ability,which strengthens the utilization rate of SE on effective information;the GBS cooperates with the original rules of SE to further improve the convergence effect of *** objectively demonstrate the core advantages of CGSE,this paper designs a series of global optimization experiments based on IEEE CEC2017,and CGSE is used to solve six engineering design problems with *** final experimental results fully showcase that,compared with the existing well-known methods,CGSE has a very significant competitive advantage in global tasks and has certain practical value in real ***,the proposed CGSE is a promising and first-rate algorithm with good potential strength in the field of engineering design.
