Diffusion of implanted As ion in relaxed Si_(1-x)Ge_(x) was studied as a function of Ge content over a wide range of Ge fractions(0-43%) and annealing temperature,and was compared to diffusion in *** results showed that the As diffusion is enhanced with increasing annealing temperature for certain Ge content and strongly dependent on the higher Ge content and the faster As diffusion.

Damage Removal and Strain Relaxation in As^(+)-Implanted Si_(0.57)Ge_(0.43) Epilayers Grown by Gas Source Molecular Beam Epitaxy

The damage removal and strain relaxation in the As^(+)-implanted Si_(0.57)Ge_(0.43) epilayers were studied by double-crystal x-ray diffractornetry and transmission electron *** results presented in this paper indicate that rapid thermal annealing at temperatures higher than 950℃ results in complete removal of irradiation damage accompained by the formation of GeAs precipitates which enhance the removal process of dislocations.

A new 14.5 GHz Electron Cyclotron Resonance (ECR) ion source has been constructed over the last two years. The source was designed and tested by making use of the latest results from ECR ion source development, such as high mirror magnetic field, large plasma volume, and biased probe. 140uA of O^7+, 185uA of Ar^11+ and 50uA of Xe^26+ could be produced with a RF power of 800 W. The intense beams of highly charged metallic ions are produced by means of the method of a metal evaporation oven and volatile compound through axial access. The test results are 130uA of Ca^11+, 70uA of Ca^12+ and 65uA of Fe^lo+. The ion source has been put into operation for the cyclotron at the institute of Modern Physics (IMP).

Various SARS-CoV-2-related coronaviruses have been increasingly identified in pangolins,showing a potential threat to *** we report the infectivity and pathogenicity of the SARS-CoV-2-related virus,PCoV-GX/P2V,which was isolated from a Malayan pangolin(Manis javanica).PCoV-GX/P2V could grow in human hepatoma,colorectal adenocarcinoma cells,and human primary nasal epithelial *** replicated more efficiently in cells expressing human angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(hACE2)as SARS-CoV-2 *** intranasal inoculation to the hACE2-transgenic mice,PCoV-GX/P2V not only replicated in nasal turbinate and lungs,but also caused interstitial pneumonia,characterized by infiltration of mixed inflammatory cells and multifocal alveolar *** population immunity established by SARS-CoV-2 infection and vaccination may not protect people from PCoV-GX/P2V *** findings further verify the hACE2 utility of PCoV-GX/P2V by in vivo experiments using authentic viruses and highlight the importance for intensive surveillance to prevent possible cross-species transmission.

Catheter ablation versus medical therapy for atrial fibrillation with prior stroke history:a prospective propensity score-matched cohort study

BACKGROUND Patients with atrial fibrillation(AF)and prior stroke history have a high risk of cardiovascular events despite anticoagulation *** is unclear whether catheter ablation(CA)has further benefits in these *** AF patients with a previous history of stroke or systemic embolism(SE)from the prospective Chinese Atrial Fibrillation Registry study between August 2011 and December 2020 were included in the *** were matched in a 1:1 ratio to CA or medical treatment(MT)based on propensity *** primary outcome was a composite of all-cause death or ischemic stroke(IS)/*** During a total of 4.1±2.3 years of follow-up,the primary outcome occurred in 111 patients in the CA group(3.3 per 100 person-years)and in 229 patients in the MT group(5.7 per 100 person-years).The CA group had a lower risk of the primary outcome compared to the MT group[hazard ratio(HR)=0.59,95%CI:0.47–0.74,P<0.001].There was a significant decreasing risk of all-cause mortality(HR=0.43,95%CI:0.31–0.61,P<0.001),IS/SE(HR=0.73,95%CI:0.54–0.97,P=0.033),cardiovascular mortality(HR=0.32,95%CI:0.19–0.54,P<0.001)and AF recurrence(HR=0.33,95%CI:0.30–0.37,P<0.001)in the CA group compared to that in the MT *** analysis generated consistent results when adjusting for time-dependent usage of *** In AF patients with a prior stroke history,CA was associated with a lower combined risk of all-cause death or IS/*** clinical trials are warranted to confirm the benefits of CA in these patients.

Climate change has been known to cause variations in the geographically suitable areas for the schistosome-transmitting Oncomelania hupensis(***).The spread of snails not only depends on the degree of warming but also on the socioeconomic development of the next few *** socioeconomic pathways(SSPs)published by CMIP6 consider carbon emission pathways as well as influences of distinct types of social development and land use on the regional climate,providing the possibility to accurately evaluate the impact of socioeconomic development and climate variation on the spread of *** study employed SSP126,SSP245,SSP370,and SSP585 and the correlative approach to explore the impacts of climate change and socioeconomic development on the potential diffusion areas for *** in *** results exhibited strong evidence that *** will spread in the north of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and disappear from a small part of its current southern habitat,whereas in Sichuan and Yunnan,*** may spread slightly to the *** projection also demonstrated that fossil fuel-driven development(SSP585)will be more conducive to the spread of *** breeding sites in the 2030s,whereas the continuous increase in snail breeding habitats under the regional rivalry path(SSP370)may lead to great challenges in snail control in the long term(2020-2080).

Anti-Hypertensive Action of Fenofibrate via UCP2 Upregulation Mediated by PPAR Activation in Baroreflex Afferent Pathway

Fenofibrate, an agonist for peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha(PPAR-a), lowers blood pressure, but whether this action is mediated via baroreflex afferents has not been elucidated. In this study, the distribution of PPAR-a and PPAR-c was assessed in the nodose ganglion(NG) and the nucleus of the solitary tract(NTS). Hypertension induced by drinking high fructose(HFD) was reduced, along with complete restoration of impaired baroreceptor sensitivity, by chronic treatment with fenofibrate. The molecular data also showed that both PPAR-a and PPAR-c were dramatically up-regulated in the NG and NTS of the HFD group. Expression of the downstream signaling molecule of PPAR-a, the mitochondrial uncoupling protein 2(UCP2), was up-regulated in the baroreflex afferent pathway under similar experimental conditions, along with amelioration of reduced superoxide dismutase activity and increased superoxide in HFD *** results suggest that chronic treatment with fenofibrate plays a crucial role in the neural control of blood pressure by improving baroreflex afferent function due at least partially to PPAR-mediated up-regulation of UCP2 expression and reduction of oxidative stress.

Objective Neocalamites is a common plant fossil from the Triassic to the Middle Jurassic. Neocalamites fossils are commonly found in coal-bearing sedimentary rocks of Rhaetian stage from South China and the Yanchang Group from North China(Mei and Liu, 2017). Moreover, the fossils also distribute in the Late Triassic such as the Babaoshan Group in Dulan and Darigemole Group in Gangcha of Qinghai Province, the Haojiagou Formation in Turpan and the Taliqike Formation in Kuche of ***,Neocalamites fossils are also found in the Early and Middle Jurassic strata of North China.
