The shuttle effect seriously impedes the development and practical application of lithium sulfur(li-S)*** is still a long-term challenge to find effective anchoring materials to hinder the shuttle effect of li-S *** carbon allotrope as anchoring materials is an effective strategy to alleviate the shuttling ***,the influence factors of carbon allotrope on the adsorption performance of liPSS at the atomic level are not clear,which limits the application of carbon allotrope in li-S ***,using first-principles simulations,a systematical calculation of carbon allotropes with various ring size(6 ≤S≤16) and shape is conducted to understand the adsorption *** results show that the T-G monolayers with suitable ring structure and high charge transfer can significantly enhance the interaction between the monolayer and liPSs,allowing them to have high capacity and high coulombic *** diffusion studies show that liPSs on the T-G monolayer have the low diffusion barriers,which ensures the charging and discharging rate of *** studies could provide material design principles of carbon allotrope monolayers used as anchoring materials of the high performance li-S batteries.

An ostracod biostratigraphic study was performed on 425 samples from the composite geological section constructed by using cores taken from five selected wells drilled in the Late Cretaceous Qingshankou Formation in the Songliao basin. A total of 19 ostracod zones are established in the formation, of which 3 are newly established and 3 are revised. The 19 ostracod zones are described in detail. This study provides a basis for the detailed stratigraphic division and correlation of the Qingshankou Formation and the Gaotaizi oil reservoir in the oilfield in the Songliao basin.

Preparation of Garlic Powder with High Allicin Content

Garlic powder with high allicin content was prepared using microwave-vacuum and vacuum drying as well as microencapsulation to protect alliinase activity throughout the stomach and improve the ratio of alliin transforming into allicin. The results showed that the optimal drying condition was 376.1 W for 3 min, 282.1 W for 3 min, 188 W for 9 min, and 94 W for 3 min. The thiosulfinates retention after drying was 90.2%. Following drying, the garlic powder was microencapsulated by modified fluidized bed technique. Scanning electron microscope revealed good integrity and core materials that were embedded in the microcapsules. Studies on the release kinetics of microencapsulated garlic granulates in vitro using simulated intestinal fluid indicated that release of garlic powder could be controlled in the intestine by passing stomach conditions.

The collision between the nanoparticle and wall surface is supposed to cause the escape of nanoparticle molecules which indicates the potential phase change of the *** is significant to understand the mechanism of the collision process involved with phase change for applications of nanoparticles in energy and mass *** this study,the collision process between nanoparticle made of monatomic argon molecule and wall surface made of nickel metal crystal is simulated by molecular dynamics *** travelling behavior and energy transformation of escaped molecules are respectively *** effects of the intermolecular force and initial temperature on the collision process are further *** results show that the nanoparticle can be accelerated by the wall surface with the intermolecular force and finally collide with *** molecules escape from the nanoparticle either by bouncing off the wall surface or the intermolecular energy exchange with the energy transformation between the potential energy and kinetic *** molecules far from the nanoparticle center are more likely to escape,while the velocity distributions of the escaped molecules follow the Maxwell *** escaped molecules,namely higher phase change potential,are observed with lower intermolecular force and higher initial *** a fundamental study on nanoparticle phase change in the vicinity of wall surface,the present investigation will be helpful for further study on the heat transfer characteristics and phase change mechanisms of nanoparticles.

Identifying the unknown geometric and material information of a multi-shield object by analyzing the radiation signature measurements is always an important problem in national and global security. In order to identify the unknown shielding layer thicknesses of a source/shield system with gamma-ray spectra, we have developed a derivative-free inverse radiation transport model based on a differential evolution algorithm with global and local neighbourhoods(IRT-DEGL). In the present paper, the IRT-DEGL model is further extended for estimating the unknown thicknesses with random initial guesses and material mass densities of multi-shielding layers as well as their combinations. Using the detected gamma-ray spectra,the illustration of inverse studies is implemented and the main influence factors for inverse results are also analyzed.

Photocatalytic reductive amination of biomass-derived aldehydes is a desirable way to selectively upgrade biomass into value-added nitrogen-containing chemicals under mild ***,it is challenging to produce imines in high selectivity because of the undesirable side reactions caused by the activity of functional ***,we demonstrate the highly reactive and selective production of imines from biomass derived aldehydes via the photocatalytic reductive amination,using a defective TiO_(2)supported nickel *** employment of methanol as the hydrogen donor and ammonia solution as the nitrogen source avoids the use of high-pressure H_(2)and expensive amines,rendering the current catalytic process safe,economical,and environmentally *** depth investigations attribute the improved separation and transfer of photogenerated charge carriers to the presence of oxygen vacancies and decorated Ni nanoparticles,thereby accelerating the production of imines from benzaldehyde amination(conversion,95.8%;seleetivity,95.2%).Furthermore,the developed system could be easily translated to the photocatalytic conversions of various biomass derived aldehydes,which provided an example of a cost-effective and sustainable approach for the valorization of biomass derived feedstocks.

Through the analysis of ocean organisms, the distribution characteristics and enrichment of organic matters in modern marine sediments and ancient marine strata, this paper shows that the main factors influencing the formation of excellent marine source rocks are the paleoclimate, biologic productivity, terrestrial organic matter, oxidation–reduction environment, sedimentation rate, and the type of the basin. In addition to those factors,high biologic productivity or high content of terrestrial organic matter input is a requirement for the enrichment of the organic matter in a marine environment. Reducing environment was favorable for organic matter accumulation and preservation in depositing and early diagenesis stage, which is an important element for the formation of high-quality marine source rocks. Paleoclimate also influences the marine source rocks formation, as humid subtropical and tropical climates are the most favorable regimes for the formation of marine source rocks. Wind transports some vascular plant materials into the marine environment. Furthermore, upwellings driven by steady wind can cause high biologic productivity, thus formingorganic-C-rich mud. Suitable sedimentation rate is beneficial for marine organic matter accumulation. Moreover, the type of the basin also plays an important role in the development of marine source rocks. Silled basins with a positive water balance often act as nutrient traps, thus enhancing both productivity and organic matter preservations, while in open oceans, organic matter enrichment in sediments has just been found in the oxygen minimum layers.
