Objective: To develop a clinically applicable tool for predicting clinical pregnancy, providing individualized patient counseling, and helping couples with non-obstructive azoospermia (NOA) decide whether to use fresh or cryopreserved spermatozoa for oocyte insemination before microdissection testicular sperm extraction (mTESE).Methods: A total of 240 couples with NOA who underwent mTESE-ICSI were divided into two groups based on the type of spermatozoa used for intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI): the fresh and cryopreserved groups. After evaluating several machine learning algorithms, logistic regression was selected. Using LASSO regression and 10-fold cross-validation, the factors associated with clinical pregnancy were ***: The area under the curves (AUCs) for the fresh and cryopreserved groups in the Logistic Regression-based prediction model were 0.977 and 0.759, respectively. Compared with various modeling algorithms, Logistic Regression outperformed machine learning in both groups, with an AUC of 0.945 for the fresh group and 0.788 for the cryopreserved ***: The model accurately predicted clinical pregnancies in NOA couples.

To comprehensively utilize the low-iron high-vanadium-titanium magnetite,a new method of vortex smelting reduction of vanadium-titanium magnetite was proposed,and the enrichment and reconstitution regularity of Ti-bearing phases in the slag was investigated through X-ray fluorescence spectrometry,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction analysis,and optical *** phase diagram revealed that the preferential crystallization of MgTi_(2)O_(5) can be achieved by adjusting the CaO,MgO,and TiO_(2) contents of *** predominant Ti-bearing phases in the slag obtained from the reduction process are MgxTi_(3_x)O_(5)(0≤x≤1)and CaTiO_(3).FeTiO_(3) is present at carbon-iron ratio(CR)=1.3,while MgTi_(2)O4 and TiC are formed at CR=*** enrichment of TiO_(2) in the slag increases first and then decreases as the CR increases,and at CR=1.1,the enrichment of TiO_(2) in the slag reaches 51.3 wt.%.Additionally,the concentrations of MgxTi_(3_x)O_(5)(0≤x≤1)and CaTiO_(3) in the slag,along with the grain width of MgxTi_(3_x)O_(5)(0≤x≤1),decrease with the increase in CR.

As renewable energy continues to be integrated into the grid,energy storage has become a vital technique supporting power system *** effectively promote the efficiency and economics of energy storage,centralized shared energy storage(SES)station with multiple energy storage batteries is developed to enable energy trading among a group of *** this paper,we propose the optimal operation with dynamic partitioning strategy for the centralized SES station,considering the day-ahead demands of large-scale renewable energy power *** implement a multi-entity cooperative optimization operation model based on Nash bargaining *** model is decomposed into two subproblems:the operation profit maximization problem with energy trading and the leasing payment bargaining *** distributed alternating direction multiplier method(ADMM)is employed to address the subproblems *** reveal that the optimal operation with a dynamic partitioning strategy improves the tracking of planned output of renewable energy entities,enhances the actual utilization rate of energy storage,and increases the profits of each participating *** results confirm the practicality and effectiveness of the strategy.

Application of surfactant for improving leaching process of weathered crust elution-deposited rare earth ores

Weathered crust elution-deposited rare earth ores(WREOs)in China are the main source of medium and heavy rare earths in the *** order to improve the seepage and the mass transfer of traditional ammonium salt leaching process of WREOs,surfactants were added in the ammonium sulfate leaching solution and the ammonium chloride leaching *** leaching kinetics,the mass transfer process,and the adhesion work reduction factor calculated from the interfacial properties were studied to reveal the strengthening mechanism of *** the presence of the tested five surfactants,cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide(CTAB),dodecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide(DTAB),sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS),sodium oleate and oleic acid,the permeability of WREOs is improved,the rare earth(RE)leaching efficiency increase and the impurity aluminum(Al)leaching efficiency decrease,indicating its promotional effect on the leaching process of ***,CTAB shows a better leaching enhancement,and the optimal addition dosage is 0.4 g/L for the two ammonium salt leaching agent *** kinetics analysis shows the internal diffusion controls model of RE and Al leaching process,and the leaching kinetics equations of RE and Al related to CTAB concentration were obtained for the two ammonium salt leaching *** to the chromatographic plate theory,the mass transfer efficiency of RE increases with the CTAB concentration increasing until 0.4 g/L,which confirms that the optimal CTAB addition is 0.4 g/*** adhesion work and adhesion work reduction factor indicate more favorable permeation as well as the leaching process.

Long-term temperature variations inferred from high-resolution proxies provide an important context to evaluate the intensity of current warming. However, temperature reconstructions in humid southeastern China are scarce and particularly lack long-term data, limiting us to obtain a complete picture of regional temperature evolution. In this study, we present a well-verified reconstruction of winter-spring (January-April) minimum temperatures over southeastern China based on stable carbon isotopic (delta C-13) records of tree rings from Taxus wallichiana var. mairei from 1860 to 2014. This reconstruction accounted for 56.4% of the total observed variance. Cold periods occurred during the 1860s-1910s and 1960s-1970s. Although temperatures have had an upward trend since the 1920s, most of the cold extremes were in recent decades. The El Ni & ntilde;o-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) variance acted as a key modulator of regional winter-spring minimum temperature variability. However, teleconnections between them were a nonlinear process, i.e., a reduced or enhanced ENSO variance may result in a weakened or intensified temperature-ENSO relationship.

AIM:To characterize the distribution of meibomian gland(MG)area loss(MGL)and its relationship with demographic characteristics,mites,and ***:This retrospective observational study included patients who visited the Dry Eye Clinic of Shenzhen Eye Hospital between June 2020 and August *** patient characteristics,ocular symptoms,Demodex test results of the eyelid edges,and the results of a comprehensive ocular surface analysis were *** was analyzed using Image J ***:This study enrolled 1204 outpatients aged 20-80(40.70±13.44)y,including 357 males(29.65%)and 847 females(70.35%).The patients were classified into mild(n=155;12.87%),moderate(n=795;66.03%),severe(n=206;17.11%),and extremely severe(n=48;3.99%)MGL *** was significantly larger in female than in male(P=0.006).The degree of MGL also significantly differed in age(P<0.001)and the more numbers of mites with severity(P<0.001).Multivariate disordered multinomial logistic regression analysis identified that female sex,older age,secretory symptoms,and a large number of mites were risk factors for MGL(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:Patients with MGL are more likely to be older,female,more numbers of mites,and increased secretion.

Utilizing plasmonic effects to assist electrochemical reactions exhibits a huge potential in tuning the reaction activities and product selectivity,which is most appealing especially in chemical reactions with multiple products,such as CO_(2)reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR).However,a comprehensive review of the development and the underlying mechanisms in plasmon-assisted electrocatalytic CO_(2)RR remains few and far ***,the fundamentals of localized surface plasmonic resonance(LSPR)excitation and the properties of typical plasmonic metals(including Au,Ag,and Cu)are ***,the potential mechanisms of plasmonic effects(such as hot carrier effects and photothermal effects)on the reaction performance in the field of plasmon-assisted electrocatalytic CO_(2)RR are summarized,which provides directions for the future development of this *** is concluded that plasmonic catalysts exhibit potential capabilities in enhancing CO_(2)RR while more in situ techniques are essential to further clarify the inner mechanisms.

Recently,the preparation of ultra-high temperature HfC ceramic coating has gained significant attention,particularly through the application of the HfCl_(4)-CH_(4)-H_(2)-Ar system via Chemical Vapor Deposition(CVD),which has been found widely applied to C/C ***,an analysis of the reactions that occur in the initial stage of the CVD-HfC coating process is presented using Density Functional Theory(DFT)and Transition State Theory(TST)at the B3LYP/Lanl2DZ *** results reveal that HfCl4 can only cleave to produce hypochlorite,which will further react with methyl to synthesize intermediates to form *** to the analysis of the energy barrier and reaction constant,HfCl preferentially reacts with methyl groups to form complex adsorptive intermediates at 1573 *** a C—Hf bond production energy of 212.8 kcal/mol(1 kcal=4.18 kJ),the reaction rate constant of HfCl+CH is calculated to be 2.15×10^(-18) cm^(3)/s at 1573 ***,both the simulation and experimental results exhibit that the upward trend of reaction rate constants with temperature is also consistent with the deposition rate,indicating that the growth curve of the reaction rate constants tends to flatten *** proposed reaction model of the precursor’s decomposition and reconstruction during deposition process has significant implication for the process guidance.
