Bromocriptine protects perilesional spinal cord neurons from lipotoxicity after spinal cord injury

Recent studies have revealed that lipid droplets accumulate in neurons after brain injury and evoke lipotoxicity,damaging the ***,how lipids are metabolized by spinal cord neurons after spinal cord injury remains ***,we investigated lipid metabolism by spinal cord neurons after spinal cord injury and identified lipid-lowering compounds to treat spinal cord *** found that lipid droplets accumulated in perilesional spinal cord neurons after spinal cord injury in *** droplet accumulation could be induced by myelin debris in HT22 *** debris degradation by phospholipase led to massive free fatty acid production,which increased lipid droplet synthesis,β-oxidation,and oxidative *** oxidative phosphorylation increased reactive oxygen species generation,which led to increased lipid peroxidation and HT22 cell *** was identified as a lipid-lowering compound that inhibited phosphorylation of cytosolic phospholipase A2 by reducing the phosphorylation of extracellular signal-regulated kinases 1.2 in the mitogen-activated protein kinase pathway,thereby inhibiting myelin debris degradation by cytosolic phospholipase A2 and alleviating lipid droplet accumulation in myelin debris-treated HT22 *** function,lipid droplet accumulation in spinal cord neurons and neuronal survival were all improved in bromocriptine-treated mice after spinal cord *** results suggest that bromocriptine can protect neurons from lipotoxic damage after spinal cord injury via the extracellular signal-regulated kinases 1.2-cytosolic phospholipase A2 pathway.

The response of thermosphere density to geomagnetic storms is a complicated physical ***-satellite joint observations at the same altitude but different local times(LTs)are important for understanding this process;however,until now such studies have hardly been *** this report,we analyze in detail the thermosphere mass density response at 51. km during the April 23−24,2023 geomagnetic storm using data derived from the TM-1.TianMu-1.satellite constellation and Swarm-B *** observations show that there were significant LT differences in the hemispheric asymmetry of the thermosphere mass density during the geomagnetic *** observed by satellite TM02 at nearly 1..3 and 23.3 LTs were larger in the northern hemisphere than in the *** TM04 dayside density observations appear to be almost symmetrical with respect to the equator,though southern hemisphere densities on the nightside were ***-B data exhibit near-symmetry between the *** addition,the mass density ratio results show that TM04 nightside observations,TM02 data,and Swarm-B data all clearly show stronger effects in the southern hemisphere,except for TM04 on the dayside,which suggest hemispheric *** South-North density enhancement differences in TM02 and TM04 on dayside can reach 1.0%,and Swarm-B data even achieve 1.0%*** the observations of all three satellites,large-scale traveling atmospheric disturbances(TADs)first appear at high latitudes and propagate to low latitudes,thereby disturbing the atmosphere above the equator and even into the opposite ***00 model simulations were also performed on this geomagnetic *** are absent in the NRLMSISE00 *** satellite data suggest that NRLMSISE00 significantly underestimates the magnitude of the density response of the thermosphere during geomagnetic storms,especially at high latitudes in both ***,use of the density simulation of NRLM

Investigation of stress-induced progressive failure of mine pillars using a Voronoi grain-based breakable block model

The Voronoi grain-based breakable block model(VGBBM)based on the combined finite-discrete element method(FDEM)was proposed to explicitly characterize the failure mechanism and predict the deformation behavior of hard-rock mine *** influence of the microscopic parameters on the macroscopic mechanical behavior was investigated using laboratory-scale *** field-scale pillar models(width-to-height,W/H=1.2 and 3)were calibrated based on the empirically predicted stress-strain curves of Creighton mine *** results indicated that as the W/H ratios increased,the VGBBM effectively predicted the transition from strain-softening to pseudo-ductile behavior in pillars,and explicitly captured the separated rock slabs and the V-shaped damage zones on both sides of pillars and conjugate shear bands in core zones of *** volumetric strain field revealed significant compressional deformation in core zones of *** the peak strains of W/H=1.and 2 pillars were relatively consistent,there were significant differences in the strain energy storage and release mechanism.W/H was the primary factor influencing the deformation and strain energy in the pillar *** friction coefficient of the structural plane was also an important factor affecting the pillar strength and the weakest discontinuity *** fracture surface was controlled by the discontinuity angle and the friction *** study demonstrated the capability of the VGBBM in predicting the strengths and deformation behavior of hard-rock pillars in deep mine design.

Free-standing covalent organic framework(COFs)nanofilms exhibit a remarkable ability to rapidly intercalate/de-intercalate li^(+) in lithium-ion batteries,while simultaneously exposing affluent active sites in *** development of these nanofilms offers a promising solution to address the persistent challenge of imbalanced charge storage kinetics between battery-type anode and capacitor-type cathode in lithium-ion capacitors(liCs).Herein,for the first time,custom-made COFBTMB-TP and COFTAPB-BPY nanofilms are synthesized as the anode and cathode,respectively,for an all-COF nanofilm-structured *** COFBTMB-TP nanofilm with strong electronegative–CF3 groups enables tuning the partial electron cloud density for li^(+) migration to ensure the rapid anode kinetic *** thickness-regulated cathodic COFTAPB-BPY nanofilm can fit the anodic COF nanofilm in the *** to the aligned 1. channel,2D aromatic skeleton and accessible active sites of COF nanofilms,the whole COFTAPB-BPY//COFBTMB-TP liC demonstrates a high energy density of 31. mWh cm^(−3) at a high-power density of 6 W cm^(−3),excellent rate capability,good cycle stability with the capacity retention rate of 77%after *** COFTAPB-BPY//COFBTMB-TP liC represents a new benchmark for currently reported film-type liCs and even film-type *** being comprehensively explored via ex situ XPS,7li solid-state NMR analyses,and DFT calculation,it is found that the COFBTMB-TP nanofilm facilitates the reversible conversion of semi-ionic to ionic C–F bonds during lithium ***-TP exhibits a strong interaction with li^(+) due to the C–F,C=O,and C–N bonds,facilitating li^(+) desolation and absorption from the *** work addresses the challenge of imbalanced charge storage kinetics and capacity between the anode and cathode and also pave the way for future miniaturized and wearable liC devices.

Direct observation of oxygen vacancy formation and migration over ceria surface by in situ environmental transmission electron microscopy

The extremely high structural tolerance of ceria to oxygen vacancies(Ov)has made it a desirable catalytic material for the hydrocarbon oxidation to chemicals and pharmaceuticals and the reduction of gaseous *** is proposed that the formation and diffusion of Ov originate from its outstanding reduction ***,the formation and diffusion process of Ov over the surface of ceria at the atomic level is still ***,the structural and valence evolution of CeO_(2)(1.1.surfaces in reductive,oxidative and vacuum environments from room temperature up to 700℃was studied with in situ aberration-corrected environmental transmission electron microscopy(ETEM)*** is found to form under a high vacuum at elevated temperatures;however,the surface can recover to the initial state through the adsorption of oxygen atoms in an oxygen-contained ***,in hydrogen environment,the step-CeO_(2)(1.1.surface is not stable at elevated temperatures;thus,the steps tend to be eliminated with increasing *** with first-principles density function calculations(DFT),it is proposed that O-terminated surfaces would develop in a hypoxic environment due to the dynamic diffusion of Ov from the outer surface to the ***,in a reductive environment,H2 facilitates the formation and diffusion of Ov while Ce-terminated surfaces *** results reveal dynamic atomic-scale interplay between the nanoceria surface and gas,thereby providing fundamental insights into the Ov-dependent reaction of nano-CeO_(2) during catalytic processes.

Immune checkpoint blockade(ICB)has emerged as a promising immunotherapeutic modality against cancer in the ***,only 1.-30%of patients respond to ICB,primarily due to poor immunogenicity and insufficient T cell infiltration in solid ***,we presented an approach for high-performance cancer treatment using the programmed cell death protein-1.and programmed cell death ligand-1.PD-1.PD-L1.inhibitor(BMS-202)-loaded PEGylated graphene oxide(GPi).On the one hand,GPi dissociated tight junctions of vascular endothelial cells(VECs)in tumor,thus promoting the extravasation and intratumoral accumulation of liposomal doxorubicin(lipDox),which then effectively induced immunogenic cell death of tumor *** the other hand,GPi also stimulated VECs to upregulate the expression of cell-cell interaction molecules,such as intercellular cell adhesion molecule-1.and vascular cell adhesion molecule-1.which facilitated the infiltration of T cells in *** acting as a stimulator of VECs,GPi could exert responsive release of BMS-202 under the acidic tumor microenvironment and blockade PD-1.PD-L1.axis in ***,the alternating administration of GPi and lipDox effectively inhibited tumor growth in a 4T1.tumor model,providing a novel treatment mode for chemo-immunotherapy.

Cloud cover plays a pivotal role in assessing observational conditions for astronomical *** for the fraction of observing time,its fragmentation also wields a significant influence on the quality of nighttime sky *** this article,we introduce the functionΓ∈[0,1.,designed to comprehensively capture both the fraction of available observing time and its *** in situ measurement data gathered at the Muztagh-Ata site between 201. and 2021.we showcase the effectiveness of our *** statistical result illustrates that the Muztagh-Ata site affords approximately 1.2 nights that were absolutely clear and 205 very good nights annually,corresponding toΓ≥0.9 andΓ≥0.36 respectively.

寒潮事件对东亚地区的社会经济,生态系统和人体健康影响巨大.根据1.80-201.年间1.月至次年3月的每日寒潮记录和K-means聚类,本文识别出了中国两种不同类型的区域性寒潮(T1.T2). T1.域性寒潮主要影响东北地区,T2区域性寒潮则主要影响华北和东部地区.与T1.域性寒潮相比, T2区域性寒潮强度更强,持续时间更长,影响范围更广. 1.80–201.年期间, T1.域性寒潮的频率显著增加,而T2区域性寒潮的频率则没有趋势变化. T1.T2区域性寒潮事件均与西伯利亚高压增强有关,然而与它们相关的对流层中层波列明显不同.在T1.域性寒潮事件发生期间,西伯利亚-蒙古上空出现负-正模态的500-hPa位势高度异常波列,削弱了东亚大槽,导致西伯利亚冷空气东移.T1.域寒潮频次增加趋势可能与全球变暖引起的500-hPa位势高度的线性趋势变化有关.与T2区域寒潮事件相关的波列则在乌拉尔山脉,蒙古和华北地区形成了脊-槽-脊环流异常,导致冷空气向东南方向入侵.本文得出结论,由于两类区域寒潮影响不同,西伯利亚高压增强和对流层中层波列模态在我国区域性寒潮事件的预报中应综合考虑.

Dural sinus septum:an underlying cause of cerebral venous sinus stenting failure and complications

Objectives The presence of dural sinus septum has long been identified anatomically but is often neglected for its clinical *** findings revealed the association of dural sinus septum with venous sinus stenting failure and complications supported by clinical *** This retrospective study included 1.5 consecutive patients treated with cerebral venous sinus stenting from January 2009 to May *** identified the dural sinus septa using digital subtraction angiography(DSA)and classified them into three types based on their *** septa at the transverse sinus were defined as typeⅠ,those at the junction between the transverse sinus and sigmoid sinus were defined as typeⅡand those at the sigmoid sinus were defined as typeⅢ.Based on the anatomic features and neuroimaging clues,we investigated the correlation of dural sinus septa with stenting failure and *** 32(1..1.)out of 1.5 patients(1.1.with idiopathic intracranial hypertension and 64 with venous pulsatile tinnitus)were identified with dural sinus septa by *** than half of the septa were typeⅠ(1./32,56.2%),followed by typeⅡ(1./32,34.4%)and typeⅢ(3/32,9.4%).The dural sinus septa caused three stenting failures and complications,including one case of venous sinus injury with subdural haemorrhage and two cases of incomplete stent *** analysis revealed that the presence of dural sinus septum(p1.was associated with complications of cerebral venous sinus *** The dural sinus septum is a common structure in the cerebral venous *** found that the presence of dural sinus septa introduces uncertainties to cerebral venous sinus stenting and suggested precautions and ingenious skills in imaging and treatment.
