The significant warming in urban environment caused by the combined effects of global warming and heat island has stimulated widely development of urban vegetations. However, it is less known of the climate feedback of urban lawn in warmed environment. Soil warming effect on net ecosystem exchange （NEE） of carbon dioxide during the transition period from winter to spring was investigated in a temperate urban lawn in Beijing, China. The NEE （negative for uptake） under soil warming treatment （temperature was about 5~C higher than the ambient treatment as a control） was -0.71 ~mol/（***）, the ecosytem was a CO2 sink under soil warming treatment, the lawn ecosystem under the control was a CO2 source （0.13 Ixmol/（***））, indicating that the lawn ecosystem would provide a negative feedback to global warming. There was no significant effect of soil warming on nocturnal NEE （i.e., ecosystem respiration）, although the soil temperature sensitivity （Q10） of ecosystem respiration under soil warming treatment was 3.86, much lower than that in the control （7.03）. The CO2 uptake was significantly increased by soil warming treatment that was attributed to about 100% increase of ct （apparent quantum yield） and Amax （maximum rate of photosynthesis）. Our results indicated that the response of photosynthesis in urban lawn is much more sensitive to global warming than respiration in the transition period.

As a conventional farming practice, tillage has lasted for thousands of years in Loess Plateau, China. Although recent studies show that tillage is a prominent culprit to soil carbon loss in croplands, few studies have investigated the influences of tillage on the responses of soil CO2 efflux （SCE） to soil temperature and moisture. Using a multi-channel automated CO2 efflux chamber system, we measured SCE in situ continuously before and after the conventional tillage in a rain fed wheat field of Loess Plateau, China. The changes in soil temperature and moisture sensitivities of SCE, denoted by the Q10 value and linear regression slope respectively, were compared in the same range of soil temperature and moisture before and after the tillage. The results showed that, after the tillage, SCE increased by 1.2-2.2 times; the soil temperature sensitivity increased by 36.1%-37.5%; and the soil moisture sensitivity increased by 140%-166%. Thus, the tillage-induced increase in SCE might partially be attributed to the increases in temperature and moisture sensitivity of SCE.

Solar-driven interfacial evaporation from seawater is considered an effective way to alleviate the emerging freshwater crisis because of its green and environmentally friendly ***,developing an evaporator with high efficiency,stability,and salt resistance remains a key ***,with an internal photothermal conversion efficiency of 100%,has received tremendous research interest as a photothermal ***,the process to prepare the MXene with monolayer is inefficient and generates a large amount of“waste”MXene sediments(MS).Here,MXene sediments is selected as the photothermal material,and a three-dimensional MXene sediments/poly(vinyl alcohol)/sodium alginate aerogel evaporator with vertically aligned pores by directional freezing method is innovatively *** vertical porous structure enables the evaporator to improve water transport,light capture,and high evaporation *** swabs and polypropylene are used as the water channel and support,respectively,thus fabricating a self-floating *** evaporator exhibits an evaporation rate of 3.6 kg m^(-2)h^(-1)under one-sun illumination,and 18.37 kg m^(-2)of freshwater is collected in the condensation collection device after 7 h of outdoor sun *** evaporator also displays excellent oil and salt *** research fully utilizes“waste”MS,enabling a self-floating evaporation device for freshwater collection.

Quartz particles are a toxic component of airborne paniculate matter（PM）.Quartz concentrations were analyzed by X-ray diffraction in eighty-seven airborne PM samples collected from three locations in Beijing before,during,and after the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation（APEC） Leaders＇ Meeting in *** results showed that the mean concentrations of quartz in PM samples from the two urban sites were considerably higher than those from the rural *** quartz concentrations in samples collected after the APEC meeting,when the pollution restriction lever was lifted,were higher than those in the samples collected before or during the APEC *** quartz concentrations ranged from 0.97 to 13.2 μg/m^3,which were among the highest values amid those reported from other *** highest quartz concentration exceeded the Californian Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment reference exposure level and was close to the occupational threshold limit values for occupational ***,a correlation analysis showed that quartz concentrations were positively correlated with concentrations of pollution parameters PM10,PM2.5,SO2 and NOx,but were negatively correlated with O3 *** results suggest that the airborne quartz particles may potentially pose health risks to the general population of Beijing.

Urban Plant Diversity in Relation to Land Use Types in Built-up Areas of Beijing

Urban plants provide various ecosystem services and biodiversity for human well-being. It is necessary to examine the plant species and functional traits composition and the influencing factors. In this study, a field survey was conducted using the tessellation-randomized plot method to assess the plant species and functional traits variability in greenspaces across eight land use types(LUTs) in the built-up areas of Beijing, China. Results showed that the woody plants in the built-up areas of Beijing comprised 85 non-native species(57%), 21 pollen-allergenic species(14%), and 99 resistant species(67%). Residential areas, community parks and institutional areas had higher woody plant species richness than other LUTs. Native and extralimital native species were more widespread than exotic species. Proportions of species with resistances were low except for cold-and drought-resistance; consequently, a high intensity of management and maintenance is essential for survival of plants in this urban area. Caution should be exerted in selecting plant species with resistance to harsh conditions in different LUTs. Housing prices, distances from the urban center, years since the establishment of LUTs and greening rate were strongly correlated with the plant functional traits and species diversity. Urban forest managers should consider plant functional traits and LUT-specific strategies to maximize both forest and human health.

The absorption of light by metallic nanostructures significantly increases at surface plasmon resonances,attributed to the coherent oscillation of large amounts of free electrons in the *** dephasing of surface plasmon oscillation releases energy through radiative processes(via photon emission)or nonradiative processes(via ohmic heating).The nonradiative dissipation generates energetic electrons or holes and then goes through thermal relaxation via lattice vibration(phonons)[1,2].

本文采用系统耦合方法测算我国流通业与国际贸易的协同发展水平,并构建空间计量回归模型检验影响两者协同发展的若干因素。结果表明:我国流通业与国际贸易的协同关系不断向好,但目前也仅处在中级协同层次,仍未达到理想状态;从影响因素看,首先,经济发展水平、技术发展水平、外商投资水平、居民消费水平和基础设施水平等都是影响两个系统融合协同的重要因素;其次,两系统协同发展本身存在地理空间正向溢出效应,即周边地区流通业与国际贸易不断协同发展,能促进本地两个系统协同关系深化。
