Nanocomposites composed of modified natural polymer and inorganic nanomaterial for safe,high-efficiency,multifunctional protection of paper-based relics

Paper-based relics as important carriers of human history and civilization have been facing severe damage problems,and their protection is a major project for cultural heritage restoration.So far,safe,high-efficiency,and multifunctional protection materials are still urgent to be developed.Herein,through screening a series of alkaline nano-oxides and cleverly combining the advantages of modified natural polymer(quaternized chitosan)and inorganic nanomaterials(Zn O),we successfully prepared their functional nanocomposites with multiple properties and pioneered their smart application for multifunctional protection of paper relics.By spraying loads,this kind of nanocomposites can effectively and safely inhibit the acid degradation of paper relics and long-term maintain a natural or weak basic state even under harsh accelerated aging conditions.Meanwhile,the coating of nanocomposites does not change the chromatic aberration but partially improves the hydrophobicity.Moreover,the mechanical properties of paper relics are reinforced up to more than one time for all-around tensile strength,folding endurance,and tearing strength.It is worth noting that the usage of nanocomposites can avoid the discoloration or fading of p H-sensitive pigments/dyes and prevent the blue/red inks from ink-spreading.By integrating the anti-microorganism effects of the two components,the nanocomposites have exhibited a broad antimicrobial capacity for both fungi(e.g.,Plectosphaerella cucumerina and Aspergillus unguis)and bacteria(e.g.,Staphylococcus aureus).The acquired knowledge not only represents an advanced step for designing functionalized inorganic/polymer nanocomposite but also sheds light on the multi-functional integrated protection of paperbased relics.

The Application of Nicotiana benthamiana as a Transient Expression Host to Clone the Coding Sequences of Plant Genes

Coding sequences (CDS) are commonly used for transient gene expression, in yeast two-hybrid screening, to verify protein interactions and in prokaryotic gene expression studies. CDS are most commonly obtained using complementary DNA (cDNA) derived from messenger RNA (mRNA) extracted from plant tissues and generated by reverse transcription. However, some CDS are difficult to acquire through this process as they are expressed at extremely low levels or have specific spatial and/or temporal expression patterns in vivo. These challenges require the development of alternative CDS cloning technologies. In this study, we found that the genomic intron-containing gene coding sequences (gDNA) from Arabidopsis thaliana, Oryza sativa, Brassica napus, and Glycine max can be correctly transcribed and spliced into mRNA in Nicotiana benthamiana. In contrast, gDNAs from Triticum aestivum and Sorghum bicolor did not function correctly. In transient expression experiments, the target DNA sequence is driven by a constitutive promoter. Theoretically, a sufficient amount of mRNA can be extracted from the N. benthamiana leaves, making it conducive to the cloning of CDS target genes. Our data demonstrate that N. benthamiana can be used as an effective host for the cloning CDS of plant genes.

Structural and Functional Insights into an Arabidopsis NBS-LRR Receptor in Nicotiana benthamiana

Nucleotide-binding site leucine-rich repeat receptors (NBS-LRR/NLRs) are crucial intracellular immune proteins in plants. Previous article reported a novel NLR protein SUT1 (SUPPRESSORS OF TOPP4-1, 1), which is involved in autoimmunity initiated by type one protein phosphatase 4 mutation (topp4-1) in Arabidopsis, however, its role in planta is still unclear. This study employed Nicotiana benthamiana, a model platform, to conduct an overall structural and functional analysis of SUT1 protein. The transient expression results revealed that SUT1 is a typical CNL (CC-NBS-LRR) receptor, both fluorescence data and biochemical results showed the protein is mainly anchored on the plasma membrane due to its N-terminal acylation site. Further truncation experiments announced that its CC (coiled-coil) domain possessed cell-death-inducing activity. The outcomes of point mutations analysis revealed that not only the CC domain, but also the full-length SUT1 protein, whose function and subcellular localization are influenced by highly conserved hydrophobic residues. These research outcomes provided favorable clues for elucidating the activation mechanism of SUT1.

目的探讨CT三维重建联合糖类抗原19-9(carbohydrate antigen 19-9,CA19-9)、癌胚抗原(carcinoembryonic antigen,CEA)对肝门部胆管癌可切除性淋巴结转移术前诊断和可切除性评估的价值。方法选取2019年6月至2022年6月于义乌市中心医院就诊的疑似肝门部胆管癌患者65例作为观察组,另选取同期体检的健康人30例为对照组。患者均给予CT三维重建检查,同时使用全自动电化学发光免疫分析仪检测血清CA19-9、CEA水平,以经皮肝穿刺胆管造影检查所得的结果为“金标准”,分析CT三维重建、CA19-9、CEA及三者联合检出肝门部胆管癌与“金标准”诊断结果的一致性,分析CT三维重建、CA19-9、CEA及三者联合对肝门部胆管癌的诊断价值。结果观察组血清CA19-9[(62.71±10.63)U/mL]、CEA[(62.71±10.63)ng/mL]均显著高于对照组[CA19-9(12.37±7.39)U/mL、CEA(1.31±0.97)ng/mL],差异均有统计学意义(t=23.43、11.59,均P<0.05);淋巴结转移的肝门部胆管癌患者CA19-9[(71.69±12.37)U/mL]、CEA[(8.89±3.51)ng/mL]均显著高于淋巴结未转移的肝门部胆管癌患者[CA19-9(56.78±10.16)U/mL、CEA(6.45±2.11)ng/mL],差异均有统计学意义(t=4.14、2.76,均P<0.05)。CT三维重建技术分型结果与组织病理学检查比较,其分型准确率为85.00%;与“金标准”诊断结果相比,CT三维重建、CA19-9、CEA及三者联合检出肝门部胆管癌分别为22例(55.00%)、26例(65.00%)、31例(77.50%)、38例(95.00%),且相比CT三维重建、CA19-9、CEA水平检查,三者联合检查肝门部胆管癌的检出率最高,差异均有统计学意义(χ^(2)=18.15,P<0.05);与CT三维重建(AUC值:0.808)、CA19-9(AUC值:0.721)、CEA(AUC值:0.703)单项检测相比,三者联合检测(AUC值:0.913)诊断价值较高,差异均有统计学意义(均P<0.05)。结论CT三维重建、CA19-9、CEA对肝门部胆管癌均有一定的诊断价值,但使用CT三维重建联合CA19-9、CEA对肝门部胆管癌患者进行诊断,其诊断价值更高,为临床上术前对肝门部胆管癌进行可切除性评估提供有效的参考依据。

Finding Deceptive Opinion Spam by Correcting the Mislabeled Instances

Assessing the trustworthiness of reviews is a key in natural language processing and computational linguistics. Previous work mainly focuses on some heuristic strategies or simple supervised learning methods, which limit the performance of this task. This paper presents a new approach, from the viewpoint of correcting the mislabeled instances, to find deceptive opinion spam. Partition a dataset into several subsets, construct a classifier set for each subset and select the best one to evaluate the whole dataset. Error variables are defined to compute the probability that the instances have been mislabeled. The mislabeled instances are corrected based on two threshold schemes, ma jority and non-objection. The results display significant improvements in our method in contrast to the existing baselines.

Frequency Dispersion of Love Waves in a Piezoelectric Nanofilm Bonded on a Semi-infinite Elastic Substrate

Research on the propagation of elastic waves in piezoelectric nanostructures is very limited. The frequency dispersion of Love waves in layered piezoelectric nanostructures has not yet been reported when surface effects are taken into account. Based on the surface elasticity theory, the propagation of Love waves with surface effects in a structure consisting of a nanosized piezoelectric film and a semi-infinite elastic substrate is investigated focusing on the frequency dispersion curves of different modes. The results show that under the electrically-open conditions, surface effects give rise to the dependence of Love wave dispersion on the film thickness when the thickness of the piezoelectric film reduces to nanometers. For a given wave frequency, phase velocity of Love waves in all dispersion modes exhibit obvious toward shift as the film thickness decreases or the surface parameters increase. Moreover, there may exist a cut-off frequency in the first mode dispersion below which Love waves will be evanescent in the structure due to surface effects. The cut-off frequency depends on the film thickness, the surface parameters and the bulk material properties.

Responses of grassland vegetation to climatic variations on different temporal scales in Hulun Buir Grassland in the past 30 years

Global warming has led to significant vegetation changes especially in the past 20 years. Hulun Buir Grassland in Inner Mongolia, one of the world’s three prairies, is undergoing a process of prominent warming and drying. It is essential to investigate the effects of climatic change （temperature and precipitation） on vegetation dynamics for a better understanding of climatic change. NDVI （Normalized Difference Vegetation Index）, reflecting characteristics of plant growth, vegetation coverage and biomass, is used as an indicator to monitor vegetation changes. GIMMS NDVI from 1981 to 2006 and MODIS NDVI from 2000 to 2009 were adopted and integrated in this study to extract the time series characteristics of vegetation changes in Hulun Buir Grassland. The responses of vegetation coverage to climatic change on the yearly, seasonal and monthly scales were analyzed combined with temperature and precipitation data of seven meteorological sites. In the past 30 years, vegetation coverage was more correlated with climatic factors, and the correlations were dependent on the time scales. On an inter-annual scale, vegetation change was better correlated with precipitation, suggesting that rainfall was the main factor for driving vegetation changes. On a seasonal-interannual scale, correlations between vegetation coverage change and climatic factors showed that the sensitivity of vegetation growth to the aqueous and thermal condition changes was different in different seasons. The sensitivity of vegetation growth to temperature in summers was higher than in the other seasons, while its sensitivity to rainfall in both summers and autumns was higher, especially in summers. On a monthly-interannual scale, correlations between vegetation coverage change and climatic factors during growth seasons showed that the response of vegetation changes to temperature in both April and May was stronger. Modern pollen rain in the Lake Qinghai basin, China

Lake Qinghai is the largest inland brackish lake in China and lies within the NE Tibetan Plateau. Our study shows that pollen assemblages in each vegetation belt are significantly correlated with the vegetation types of this area. Among the herbaceous and shrubby pollen assemblages, Artemisia is over-represented, while Poaceae, Cyperaceae and Polygonaceae are under-represented. Artemisia/ Chenopodiaceae (A/C) ratios with the regional vegetation characteristic can be used as a proper index to reconstruct the history of vegetation and climate in Lake Qinghai basin. Modern pollen in the lake mainly comes from the nearby vegetation, controlled by the directions and velocity of the wind. The distribution of modern pollen in Lake Qinghai tends to be similar in most part of the lake. The difference of pollen sedimentation process in the lake can be potentially influenced by the focusing function of the lake, river streams, and lake current.

This paper aims to develop a surface modification process to improve the surface properties of the middle trough.The coatings were prepared by plasma cladding with Fe-Cr-B-Si-based alloy powders (Ig 6 and Ig7).The organizational structure and micro-hardness of the coatings were analyzed by laboratory equipments.The friction and wear tests were performed to investigate the friction-wear properties of middle trough.The coatings have higher hardness and good friction-wear properties than the substrate.The hardness and friction wear properties of the coating with Ig7 powder are better than those with Ig6 powder.The experimental results show that the surface properties of the middle trough are improved by Fe-Cr-B-Si-based alloy coating,which can improve the middle trough service life.The plasma cladding can be widely used in the surface-modification of middle trough to reduce the waste of resources.

目的分析2013-2022年河北省百日咳流行特征及时空聚集性,为完善百日咳防控措施提供参考依据。方法基于2013-2022年河北省报告的百日咳数据分析流行特征。应用ArcGIS 10.8软件进行空间自相关分析以及环形地图制作;运用SaTScan 10.1软件进行时空扫描分析。结果河北省2013-2022年累计报告百日咳6715例,无死亡病例,年均报告发病率为0.90/10万。2013-2019年发病率总体呈上升趋势,2020-2021年呈大幅下降趋势,但2022年呈骤增趋势。夏、秋两季为流行的高发季节,发病占比最高的年龄组为<1岁(48.67%),占比最低的年龄组为≥15岁(0.45%),以散居儿童为主(78.03%),男性发病率高于女性。空间自相关分析表明,百日咳的发病具有空间聚集性,并且高-高聚集区存在于报告发病率前3位的廊坊市、保定市和沧州市。低-低聚集区与本研究对应疾病低发地区的分布基本一致。时空扫描探测出5个差异有统计学意义的区域,并且有3个聚集区集中在2022年。结论河北省2013-2022年百日咳发病具有明显的人群、地区、季节差异,且存在明显的时空聚集性,须加强对重点区域的监测并采取针对性防治措施。
