Mathematical stencil and its application in finite difference approximation to the Poisson equation

The concept of mathematical stencil and the strategy of stencil elimination for solving the finite difference equation is presented, and then a new type of the iteration algorithm is established for the Poisson equation. The new algorithm has not only the obvious property of parallelism, but also faster convergence rate than that of the classical Jacobi iteration. Numerical experiments show that the time for the new algorithm is less than that of Jacobi and Gauss-Seidel methods to obtain the same precision, and the computational velocity increases obviously when the new iterative method, instead of Jacobi method, is applied to polish operation in multi-grid method, furthermore, the polynomial acceleration method is still applicable to the new iterative method.

Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is an enduring condition that leads to inflammation and affects a substantial number of individuals with diabetes worldwide. A gradual reduction in glomerular filtration and emergence of proteins in the urine are typical aspects of DN, ultimately resulting in renal failure. Mounting evidence suggests that immunological and inflammatory factors are crucial for the development of DN. Therefore, the activation of innate immunity by resident renal and immune cells is critical for initiating and perpetuating inflammation. Toll-like receptors (TLRs) are an important group of receptors that identify patterns and activate immune responses and inflammation. Meanwhile, inflammatory responses in the liver, pancreatic islets, and kidneys involve inflammasomes and chemokines that generate pro-inflammatory cytokines. Moreover, the activation of the complement cascade can be triggered by glycated proteins. This review highlights recent findings elucidating how the innate immune system contributes to tissue fibrosis and organ dysfunction, ultimately leading to renal failure. This review also discusses innovative approaches that can be utilized to modulate the innate immune responses in DN for therapeutic purposes.

A new spiropyran derivative was synthesized and first utilized in a polymericfilm-based optical sensor for zinc ion. Spiropyrans, combining the characteristics of metal bindingand signal transduction, show potential function in the design of optical chemical sensors(optodes) toward metal ions. When embedded in a plasticized poly (vinyl chloride) (PVC) membrane,the newly synthesized spiropyran derivative 1 exhibits obvious fluorescence enhancement at 630 nm inthe presence of zinc ion in aqueous solution. With the optimum condition described, the optodemembrane responds to zinc ion over a dynamic range of 4.94x10^(-7) to 4.15x10^(-4)mol·L^(-1), witha detection limit of 1.51x10^(-7) mol·L^(-1). The membrane not only displays excellentphotostability, reproducibility and reversibility, but also exhibits high selectivity toward zincion over transition metal ions including Hg^(2.), Cd^(2.), Pb^(2.), Cu^(2.), Fe^(3+) and commoncationic ions presented in the physiological fluids.

Simultaneously achieving high sensitivity and detection speed with traditional solid-state biosensors is usually limited since the target molecules must passively diffuse to the sensor surface before they can be *** techniques have been applied to shorten the diffusion time by continuously moving molecules through the biosensing ***,the binding efficiencies of the biomolecules are still limited by the inherent laminar flow inside microscale *** this study,focused traveling surface acoustic waves were directed into an acoustic microfluidic chip,which could continuously enrich the target molecules into a constriction zone for immediate detection of the immune reactions,thus significantly improving the detection sensitivity and *** demonstrate the enhancement of biosensing,we first developed an acoustic microfluidic chip integrated with a focused interdigital transducer;this transducer had the ability to capture more than 91%of passed ***,polystyrene microbeads were pre-captured with human IgG molecules at different concentrations and loaded for detection on the *** representative results,~0.63,2.62.1..78,and 19.75 seconds were needed to accumulate significant numbers of microbeads pre-captured with human IgG molecules at concentrations of 100,10,1,and 0.1 ng/mL(~0.7 pM),respectively;this process was faster than the other methods at the hour level and more sensitive than the other methods at the nanomolar *** results indicated that the proposed method could significantly improve both the sensitivity and speed,revealing the importance of selective enrichment strategies for rapid biosensing of rare molecules.

Lead-free Bi_(_(0.5))Na_(_(0.5))TiO_(3)(BNT)piezoelectric ceramics have the advantages of large coercive fields and high Curie *** the improvement of piezoelectric coefficient(d 33)is usually accompanied by a huge sacrifice of depolarization temperature(T d).In this work,a well-balanced performance of d 33 and T d is achieved in MnO_(2.-doped 0.79(Bi_(_(0.5))Na_(_(0.5))TiO_(3))-0.14(Bi_(0.5)K_(0.5)TiO_(3))-0.07BaTiO_(3)ternary *** in-corporation of 0.2. mol%MnO_(2.enhances the d 33 by more than 40%,while T d remains almost unchanged(i.e.,d 33=181 pC/N,T d=184℃).X-ray diffraction(XRD)shows that an appropriate fraction of the small axis-ratio ferroelectric phase(pseudo-cubic,P c)coexists with the long-range ferroelectric phase(tetrag-onal,T)under this MnO_(2.*** force microscopy(PFM)has revealed a special domain configuration,namely large striped and layered macro domains embedded with small *** study provides a distinctive avenue to design BNT-based piezoelectric ceramics with high piezoelectric performance and temperature stability.
