VMIB (virtual multi-dimensional internal bonds) is a multiscale mechanical model developed from the VIB (virtual internal bond) theory. In VIB theory,the solid mate-rial is considered to consist of random-distributed material particles in microscale. These particles are connected with normal bonds. The macro constitutive relation is derived from the cohesive law between particles. However,in VMIB,the micro particles are connected with both normal and shear bonds. The macro constitutive relation is derived in terms of bond stiffness coefficients. It has been theoretically certified that there exists a corresponding relationship between the two bond stiffness coefficients and the two macro material constants,i.e. the Young’s modulus and Poisson ratio. This corresponding relationship suggests that it should be necessary and sufficient to simultaneously account for the normal and shear interactions between particles. Due to the fact that the fracture criterion is directly incorporated into the constitutive relation,both VIB and VMIB present many advantages in simulating fractures of materials. In the damage model of rock mass,a damage tensor is usually defined to describe the distribution of cracks. The damage value in one direction determines the relative stiffness of rock mass in this direction. In VMIB solid,the relative distribution density of micro bonds in one direction determines the relative macro stiffness of the material in this direction. The effects of the damage value and the relative distribution density of bonds are consistent. To simulate the failure behavior of rock mass with VMIB,the presented paper sets up a quantitative relationship between the damage tensor and the rela-tive distribution density of bonds. Comparison of the theoretical and the experi-mental results shows that VMIB model can represent the effect of distributed cracks on rock mass with this relationship. Aiming at the tracking problem of a class of discrete nonaffine nonlinear multi-input multi-output(MIMO) repetitive systems subjected to separable and nonseparable disturbances, a novel data-driven iterative learning control(ILC) scheme based on the zeroing neural networks(ZNNs) is proposed. First, the equivalent dynamic linearization data model is obtained by means of dynamic linearization technology, which exists theoretically in the iteration domain. Then, the iterative extended state observer(IESO) is developed to estimate the disturbance and the coupling between systems, and the decoupled dynamic linearization model is obtained for the purpose of controller synthesis. To solve the zero-seeking tracking problem with inherent tolerance of noise,an ILC based on noise-tolerant modified ZNN is proposed. The strict assumptions imposed on the initialization conditions of each iteration in the existing ILC methods can be absolutely removed with our method. In addition, theoretical analysis indicates that the modified ZNN can converge to the exact solution of the zero-seeking tracking problem. Finally, a generalized example and an application-oriented example are presented to verify the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed process.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory autoimmune disease accompanied by persistent multiarticular synovitis and cartilage degradation. The present clinical treatments are limited to disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARDs) and aims to relieve pain and control the inflammation of RA. Despite considerable advances in the research of RA, the employment of current clinical procedure is enormous, hindered by systemic side effect, frequent administration, tolerance from long-lasting administration, and high costs. Emerging immunoengineering-based strategies, such as multiple immune-active nanotechnologies via mechanism-based immunology approaches, have been developed to improve specific targeting and to reduce adverse reactions for RA treatments. Here, we review recent studies in immunoengineering for the treatment of RA. The prospect of future immunoengineering treatment for RA has also been discussed.

In this study,we report on the realization of ultraviolet response enhancement in PV cells through the structure of ITO/SiO2.np-Silicon frame(named as SINP),which was fabricated by the state of the art *** fabrication process consists of thermal diffusion of phosphorus element into p-type texturized crystal Si wafer,thermal deposition of an ultra-thin silicon dioxide layer(15-2.) at low temperature,and subsequent deposition of thick In2.3:SnO2.ITO) layer by RF *** structure,morphology,optical and electric properties of the ITO film were characterized by XRD,SEM,UV-VIS spectrophotometer and Hall effect measurement,*** results showed that ITO film possesses high quality in terms of antireflection and electrode *** device parameters derived from current-voltage(I-V) relationship under different conditions,spectral response and responsivity of the ultraviolet photoelectric cell with SINP configuration were analyzed in *** found that the main feature of our PV cell is the enhanced ultraviolet response and optoelectronic *** improved short-circuit current,open-circuit voltage,and filled factor indicate that the device is promising to be developed into an ultraviolet and blue enhanced photovoltaic device in the future.

AIM: To characterize the electrophysiological and kinetic properties of Ca2.-activated chloride channel (CaCC) in cultured human umbilical vein endothelial cell line (HUVEC), and test the inhibitory effects of tetrandrine (Tet) on CaCC. METHODS: Ca2.-activated Cl- currents (ICl,Ca) were recorded by patch-clamp whole cell configurations. [Ca2.]i was measured via intracellular Fura-2.fluorescence intensities. RESULTS: ICl,Ca was activated by increasing [Ca2.]i via direct elevation of intracellular calcium. ICl,Ca showed an apparent outward rectification properties, and it was activated in a voltage- and calcium-dependent mode. Tet dose-dependently inhibited ICl,Ca, the IC50 was (5.2.0.4) μmol/L (n=8 cells). Tet suppressed both voltage-dependent and calcium-dependent activation of ICl,Ca. The activa- tion time constant was (32.±12. ms [in the presence of 10 μmol/L Tet, compared to control (175±17) ms, at +100 mV], and Ca2. concentration for half maximal activation was (387±61) nmol/L for Tet (compared to control (2.7±36) nmol/L. CONCLUSIONS: Tet effectively blocked ICl,Ca, and such effects might be due to its inhibitory effects on the activation process of Ca2.-activated chloride channel.

Pancreatic cancer,one of the most aggressive malignancies,has no effective treatment due to the lack of targets and drugs related to tumour ***6 can promote the migration of pancreatic cancer and could be a potential target for antimetastasis of pancreatic ***,highly selective and potency SIRT6 inhibitor that can be used in vivo is yet to be ***,we developed a noveSIRT6 allosteric inhibitor,compound 11e,with maximal inhibitory potency and an IC_(50) value of 0.98±0.13μmol/***,compound 11e exhibited significant selectivity against other histone deacetylases(HADC1-11 and SIRT1-3)at concentrations up to 100μmol/*** allosteric site and the molecular mechanism of inhibition were extensively elucidated by cocrystal complex structure and dynamic structural ***,we confirmed the antimetastatic function of such inhibitors in four pancreatic cancer cell lines as well as in two mouse models of pancreatic cancer liver *** our knowledge,this is the first study to reveal the in vivo effects of SIRT6 inhibitors on liver metastatic pancreatic *** not only provides a promising lead compound for subsequent inhibitor developmentargeting SIRT6 but also provides a potential approach to address the challenge of metastasis in pancreatic cancer.
