The dichotomized brain system is a concept that was generalized from the‘dual syndrome hypothesis’to explain the heterogeneity of cognitive impairment,in which anterior and posterior brain systems are independent but partially *** dopaminergic system acts on the anterior brain and is responsible for executive function,working memory,and *** contrast,the cholinergic system acts on the posterior brain and is responsible for semantic fluency and visuospatial *** from dopaminergic/cholinergic imaging or functional neuroimaging has shed significant insight relating to the involvement of the cerebellum in the cognitive process of patients with Parkinson’s *** research has reported evidence that the cerebellum receives both dopaminergic and cholinergic ***,whether these two neurotransmitter systems are associated with cognitive function has yet to be fully ***,the precise role of the cerebellum in patients with Parkinson’s disease and cognitive impairment remains ***,in this review,we summarize the cerebellar dopaminergic and cholinergic projections and their relationships with cognition,as reported by previous studies,and investigated the role of the cerebellum in patients with Parkinson’s disease and cognitive impairment,as determined by functional *** findings will help us to understand the role of the cerebellum in the mechanisms underlying cognitive impairment in Parkinson’s disease.

Microbial lipid fermentation encompasses intricate complex cell growth processes and heavily relies on expert experience for optimal *** modeling of the fermentation process assists researchers in making intelligent decisions,employing logical reasoning and strategic planning to optimize lipid *** this study,the effects of medium components and concen-trations on lipid fermentation were investigated,*** then,leveraging the collated data,a variety of machine learning algorithms were used to model and optimize the lipid fermentation *** models,based on artificial neural networks and support vector machines,achieved R?values all higher than 0.93,ensuring accurate predictions of the fermentation *** linear regression was used to evaluate the respective target parameter,which were affected by the medium components of lipid ***,single and multi-objective optimiza-tion were conducted for lipid fermentation using the genetic *** results demonstrated the maximum biomass of 50.3 g·L^(-1) and maximum lipid concentration of 14.1 g:L^(-1) with the error between the experimental and predicted values less than 5%.The results of the multi-objective optimization reveal the synergistic and competitive relationship between biomass,lipid concentration,and conversion rate,which lay a basis for in-depth optimization and amplification.

Single-particle aerosol mass spectrometry was used to study the characteristics of Fecontaining particles during winter in Chengdu,southwest *** mass concentrations of PM_(2.5)and PM_(10)during the study period were 64±38 and 89±49μg/m~3,respectively,and NO_(2)and particulate matter were high compared with most other regions of *** Fecontaining particles were divided into seven categories with different mass spectra,sources and aging *** highest contribution was from Fe mixed with carbonaceous components(Fe-C,23.1%)*** was more mixed with sulfate than nitrate and therefore the contribution of Fe mixed with sulfate(Fe-S,20.7%)particles was higher than that of Fe mixed with nitrate(Fe-N,12.5%)*** contributions from Fe-containing particles related to primary combustion were high in the small particle size range,whereas aged Fecontaining particles and dust-related particles were mostly found in the coarse particle size *** air masses mainly originated from the west and east of Chengdu,and the corresponding PM_(2.5)concentrations were 79±36 and 55±36μg/m~3,*** west and east air masses showed stronger contributions of Fe-containing particles related to biomass burning(Fe-B)and fossil fuel combustion(Fe-C and Fe-S)particles,*** southwest area contributed the most Fe-containing *** assessments of the effects of Fe-containing particles during heavy pollution period should pay more attention to Fe-C and Fe-S ***-reduction of Fe-containing particles should consider both local emissions and short-distance transmission from the surrounding areas.

Objective Renal fibrosis is the ultimate pathway of various forms of acute and chronic kidney ***,the knockout of transient receptor potential channel 6(TRPC6)has shown promise in alleviating renal ***,the regulatory impact of TRPC6 on renal fibrosis remains *** In vivo,TRPC6 knockout(TRPC6−/−)mice and age-matched 129 SvEv(WT)mice underwent unilateral renal ischemia-reperfusion(uIR)injury surgery on the left renal pedicle or sham *** and serum were collected on days 7,14,21,and 28 after *** vitro,primary tubular epithelial cells(PTECs)were isolated from TRPC6−/−and WT mice,followed by treatment with transforming growth factorβ1(TGFβ1)for 72 *** anti-fibrotic effect of TRPC6−/−and the underlying mechanisms were assessed through hematoxylin-eosin staining,Masson staining,immunostaining,qRT-PCR,and Western *** Increased TRPC6 expression was observed in uIR mice and PTECs treated with TGFβ***6−/−alleviated renal fibrosis by reducing the expression of fibrotic markers(Col-1,α-SMA,and vimentin),as well as decreasing the apoptosis and inflammation of PTECs during fibrotic progression both in vivo and in ***,we found that the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(PI3K)/protein kinase B(AKT)/glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta(GSK3β)signaling pathway,a pivotal player in renal fibrosis,was down-regulated following TRPC6 *** These results suggest that the ablation of TRPC6 may mitigate renal fibrosis by inhibiting the apoptosis and inflammation of PTECs through down-regulation of the PI3K/AKT/GSK3β*** TRPC6 could be a novel therapeutic strategy for preventing chronic kidney disease.

Traditional Chinese medicine,such as Tripterygium wilfordii and Paeonia lactiflora,has potential values in treating systemic sclerosis(SSc)and other autoimmune diseases,while their toxic side effect elimination and precise tropical drug delivery are still ***,we present multiple traditional Chinese medicine integrated photoresponsive black phosphorus(BP)microneedles(MNs)with the desired features for the SSc *** employing a template-assisted layer-by-layer curing method,such MNs with triptolide(TP)/paeoniflorin(Pae)needle tips and BP-hydrogel needle bottoms could be well *** combined administration of TP and Pae can not only provide anti-inflammatory,detoxification,and immunomodulatory effects to treat skin lesions in the early stage of SSc but also remarkably reduce the toxicity of single drug ***,the additive BPs possess good biocompatibility and near-infrared(NIR)responsiveness,imparting the MN photothermal-controlled drug release *** on these features,we have demonstrated that the traditional Chinese medicine integrated responsive MNs could effectively improve skin fibrosis and telangiectasia,reduce collagen deposition,and reduce epidermal thickness in the SSc mouse *** results indicated that the proposed Chinese medicine integrated responsive MNs had enormous potential in clinical therapy of SSc and other diseases.

The increasing need for electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding of electronics in cold environments such as those in aircraft,space exploration,and wearable heaters to avoid hazardous icing conditions or hypothermia requires the development of thin and lightweight EMI shielding materials preferably by absorbing rather than reflecting electromagnetic(EM)waves while also generating heat through energy-efficient electrothermal ***,it is challenging to achieve absorption-dominant EMI shielding and energy-efficient electrothermal heating simultaneously in a thin and lightweight ***,we develop a heterogeneous composite film comprising a porous multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs)/bacterial cellulose(BC)film and an aligned MXene/Ag nanowires(NWs)backing via a sequential vacuum filtration *** porous film contains random conductive networks of MWCNTs with moderate conductivity while the aligned MXene sheets atop Ag NWs network affords high conductivity in the backing,giving rise to graded electrical conductivity for absorption-dominant EMI *** increasing Ag NW coverage leads to significantly increased electrical conductivity without increasing the EM wave reflection as well as the density and thickness of the film,yielding excellent specific EMI shielding effectiveness(>8500 dB/(g·cm^(2))),low driving voltage for energy-efficient electrothermal heating(163℃at 2.5 V),and fast response time(60 s)at a low areal density of 0.015 mg/cm^(2).Combining EMI shielding and electrothermal heating,the heterogeneous film developed here are promising contenders for the protection of electronic equipment in low-temperature environment.

Multipartite Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen(EPR)steering admits multipartite entanglement in the presence of uncharacterized verifiers,enabling practical applications in semi-device-independent *** applications generally require stronger steerability,while the unavoidable noise weakens steerability and consequently degrades the performance of quantum information ***,we propose the local filtering operation that can maximally distill genuine tripartite EPR steering from N copies of three-qubit generalized Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger states,in the context of two semi-device-independent *** optimal filtering operation is determined by the maximization of assemblage *** and numerical results indicate the advantage of the proposed filtering operation when N is finite and the steerability of initial assemblages is ***,a proof-of-principle demonstration of two-copy distillation is realized with the optical *** advantage of the optimal local filtering operation is confirmed by the distilled assemblage in terms of higher assemblage fidelity with perfectly genuine tripartite steerable assemblages,as well as the greater violation of the inequality to witness genuine tripartite steerable *** results benefit the distillation of multipartite EPR steering in practice,where the number of copies of initial assemblages is generally finite.

In the suburbs of Kitakyushu,Japan,the inorganic aerosol mass concentration(IAM)was about 32.7μg/m^(3),with the aerosol pH of *** study the thermodynamics of aerosol when its individual components'concentration is reduced,sensitive tests were performed using the ISORROPIAⅡmodel,in which the seven control species—TNaCl,TNH_(4)^(+),TSO_(4)^(2-),TNO_(3)^(-),TMg^(2+),TK^(+),and TCa^(2+)—were taken into *** and inorganic aerosol pH after reducing TNaCl,TNO_(3)^(-),TMg^(2+),TK^(+),and TCa^(2+)responded linearly(0%≤concentration reduction ratio(CRR)≤100%,with the exception of 100%in TNaCl);the nonlinear variations of these two parameters could be observed by controlling TNH_(4)^(+)and TSO_(4)^(2-).Unexpected aerosol behavior occurred at 100%reduction of TNaCl,which was caused by the sudden increase of NO_(3)^(-),NH_(4)^(+),and aerosol liquid water content(ALWC);the increase of IAM was also observed after controlling TSO_(4)^(2-)(60%≤CRR≤100%)and TCa^(2+)(0%≤CRR≤100%),which was mainly related to the variation of ALWC driven by the response of CaSO_(4).Multiple regression analysis showed that ALWC was statistically and strongly related to the variations of NO_(3)^(-),Cl-,SO_(4)^(2-),HSO_(4)^(-),HNO_(3),and NH_(3)(P<0.05),with regression coefficients of 1.68,5.23,1.83,2.81,0.34,and 0.57,*** highest coefficient(5.23)was found for Cl^(-),revealing that sea salts significantly influenced particle ***,this study comprehensively investigated aerosol characteristics and inner responses for the reduction of components,which is of great significance for a better understanding of atmospheric chemistry in Kitakyushu,Japan.
