To improve the seismic performance of reinforced concrete core walls,reinforced concrete com-posite core walls with concealed steel truss were proposed and systemically *** 1/6 scale core wall specimens,including a normal reinforced concrete core wall and a reinforced concrete composite core wall with concealed steel truss,were *** experimental study on seismic performance under cyclic loading was carried *** load-carrying capacity,stiffness,ductility,hysteretic behavior and energy dissipation of the core walls were *** test results showed that the seismic performance of core walls is improved greatly by the concealed steel *** calculated results were found to agree well with the actual measured ones.

Volume rendering plays a significant role in medical imaging and engineering *** obtain an improved three-dimensional shape perception of volumetric datasets,realistic volume illumination has been considerably studied in recent ***,the calculation overhead associated with interactive volume rendering is unusually high,and the solvability of the problem is adversely affected when the data size and algorithm complexity are *** this study,a scalable and GPU-based multi-slice per pass(MSPP)volume rendering algorithm is proposed which can quickly generate global volume shadow and achieve a translucent effect based on the transfer function,so as to improve perception of the shape and depth of volumetric *** our real-world data tests,MSPP significantly outperforms some complex volume shadow algorithms without losing the illumination effects,for example,half-angle ***,the MSPP can be easily integrated into the parallel rendering frameworks based on sort-first or sort-last algorithms to accelerate volume *** addition,its scalable slice-based volume rendering framework can be combined with several traditional volume rendering frameworks.

Azulene, one of representative nonbenzenoid aromatic hydrocarbons, exhibits unique molecular structure and distinctive physical and chemical properties. Herein, azulenoisoindigo(Az II), an azulene-based isoindigo analogue, is designed and synthesized, which has a twisted molecular backbone and R/Sisomers in single crystals. Interestingly, Az II shows the characteristics of both isoindigo and azulene,such as reversible redox behavior and reversible proton responsiveness. UV-vis-NIR,^(1)H NMR and electron paramagnetic resonance(EPR) measurements were carried out to get insights into the possible mechanism of the proton-responsive property of Az II. The results demonstrated that only one azulenyl moiety of molecule of Az II was protonated and deprotonated, and the protonated Az II can be further oxidized to form azulenium cation radicals.

It is well known that today's inter-domain routing protocol, Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), converges slowly during network failures. Due to the distribution nature of Internet routing decisions and the rate-limiting timer Minimum Route Advertisement Interval (MRAI) of BGP, unavoidable convergence latency is introduced in reaction to network changes. During the period of convergence temporarily routing table inconsistencies cause short-term routing blackholes and loops which result in widespread temporary burst packet loss. In this paper, we present ROute-Free Forwarding (ROFF) - a novel technique for packet delivering continuously during periods of convergence. With slightly modifications on IP packet header and BGP, route loops and blackholes can be avoided. Our preliminary evaluation demonstrates that ROFF succeeds in reducing the number of Autonomous Systems (ASes) which experience burst packet loss and the duration of packet loss.

Coaxial-disk transitions can generate non-uniform magnetic fields and abrupt impedance variations in magnetically insulated transmission lines(MITLs),resulting in disturbed electron flow and non-negligible current *** this paper,3 D particle-in-cell simulations are conducted with UNPIC-3 d to investigate the current loss mechanism and the influence of the input parameters of the coaxial-disk transition on current loss in an MITL *** results reveal that the magnetic field non-uniformity causes major current loss in the MITL after the coaxialdisk transition,and the non-uniformity decreases with the distance away from the *** uniformity of the magnetic field is improved when increasing the number of feed lines of a linear transformer driver-based accelerator with coaxial-disk *** number of input feed lines should be no less than four in the azimuthal distribution to obtain acceptable uniformity of the magnetic *** make the ratio of the current loss to the total current of the accelerator less than 2%at peak anode current,the ratio of the current in each feed line to the total current should be no less than 8%.

A series of Ti-Zr-Hf-Mo-Nb high-entropy alloys with different Mo concentrations were developed as candidate materials for hydrogen/tritium storage in solid *** crystal structures and hydrogenation properties of the Ti-Zr-Hf-Mo-Nb alloys were investigated by X-ray diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry *** the alloys have a body-centred cubic single phase *** results demonstrate that the cell volume of the Ti-Zr-Hf-Mo-Nb hydride decreases with increasing Mo concentration,which reduces their thermal *** theoretical calculation proposes that the lower binding energy of the Ti-Zr-Hf-Mo-Nb hydride decreases the thermal stability of Ti-Zr-Hf-Mo-Nb alloys with higher Mo *** great hydrogenation performance for all the Ti-Zr-Hf-Mo-Nb alloys is owing to their reversible single-phase transformation during the hydrogen absorption-desorption cycle,which would be bene ficial to improving the hydrogen recycling rate and preventing the *** compositional dependence of the hydrogenation performance of the Ti-Zr-Hf-Mo-Nb alloys was established and will be useful in designing novel hydrogen/tritium storage materials to satisfy the requirements of diffe rent application fields in hydrogen,solar thermal and nuclear energy.

Hybrids are always a focus of botanical research and have a high practical value in agricultural *** better understand allele regulation and differences in DNA methylation in hybrids,we developed a phasing pipeline for hybrid rice based on two parental genomes(PP2PG),which is applicable for Iso-Seq,RNA-Seq,and Bisulfite sequencing(BS-Seq).Using PP2PG,we analyzed differences in gene transcription,alternative splicing,and DNA methylation in an allele-specific manner between parents and progeny or different progeny *** phasing of Iso-Seq data provided a great advantage in separating the whole gene structure and producing a significantly higher separation ratio than *** interaction of hybrid alleles was studied by constructing an allele co-expression network that revealed the dominant allele effect in the *** expression variation between parents and the parental alleles in progeny showed tissue-or environment-specific patterns,which implied a preference for trans-acting regulation under different *** addition,by comparing allele-specific DNA methylation,we found that CG methylation was more likely to be inherited than CHG and CHHmethylation,and its enrichment in genic regions was connected to gene *** addition to an effective phasing pipeline,we also identified differentiation in OsWAK38 gene structure that may have led to the expansion of allele functions in *** summary,we developed a phasing pipeline and provided valuable insights into alternative splicing,interaction networks,trans-acting regulation,and the inheritance of DNA methylation in hybrid rice.
