The current study investigates the hydrodynamic characteristics of gap resonance within a narrow gap formed by two adjacent boxes subjected to incident focused transient wave groups.A two-dimensional(2D)numerical wave tank based on the OpenFOAM package is utilized for this purpose.The weather-side box is fixed while the lee-side box is allowed to heave freely under wave actions.The effects of the focused wave amplitude and spectral peak period on the wave amplification within the gap,motion of the lee-side box,and wave forces(including horizontal and vertical wave forces)acting on each box are systematically examined.For comparison,another structural layout consisting of two fixed boxes is also considered.The results reveal that the release of the heave degree of freedom(DoF)of the lee-side box results in remarkably distinct resonance features.In the heave-box system,both its fluid resonant period and the period corresponding to the maximum heave displacement of the lee-side box are significantly larger(i.e.,1.6-1.7 times)than the fluid resonant period of the fixed-box system.However,the wave amplification factor inside the gap in the heave-box system is significantly lower than that in the fixed-box one.Both the variations of the maximum horizontal and vertical wave forces with the spectral peak period and their magnitudes are also significantly different between the two structural systems.

Nowadays,optimization techniques are required in various engineering domains to find optimal solutions for complex problems.As a result,there is a growing tendency among scientists to enhance existing nature-inspired algorithms using various evolutionary strategies and to develop new nature-inspired optimization methods that can properly explore the feature space.The recently designed nature-inspired meta-heuristic,named the Golden Jackal Optimization(GJO),was inspired by the collaborative hunting actions of the golden jackal in nature to solve various challenging problems.However,like other approaches,the GJO has the limitations of poor exploitation ability,the ease of getting stuck in a local optimal region,and an improper balancing of exploration and exploitation.To overcome these limitations,this paper proposes an improved GJO algorithm based on multi-strategy mixing(LGJO).First,using a chaotic mapping strategy to initialize the population instead of using random parameters,this algorithm can generate initial solutions with good diversity in the search space.Second,a dynamic inertia weight based on cosine variation is proposed to make the search process more realistic and effectively balance the algorithm's global and local search capabilities.Finally,a position update strategy based on Gaussian mutation was introduced,fully utilizing the guidance role of the optimal individual to improve population diversity,effectively exploring unknown regions,and avoiding the algorithm falling into local optima.To evaluate the proposed algorithm,23 mathematical benchmark functions,CEC-2019 and CEC2021 tests are employed.The results are compared to high-quality,well-known optimization methods.The results of the proposed method are compared from different points of view,including the quality of the results,convergence behavior,and robustness.The superiority and high-quality performance of the proposed method are demonstrated by comparing the results.Furthermore,to demonstrate its applicability,it is employed to solve four c

In this paper,the open-sourced computational fluid dynamics software,OpenFOAM~?,is used to study the fluctuation phenomenon of the water body inside a horizontally one-dimensional enclosed harbor basin with constant water depth triggered by falling wedges with various horizontal falling positions,initial falling velocities and masses.Based on both Fourier transfo rm analysis and wavelet spectrum analysis for the time series of the free surface elevations inside the harbor basin,it is found for the first time that the wedge falling inside the harbor can directly trigger harbor resonance.The influences of the three factors(including the horizontal falling position,the initial falling velocity,and the mass)on the response amplitudes of the lowest three resonant modes are also investigated.The results show that when the wedge falls on one of the nodal points of a resonant mode,the mode would be remarkably suppressed.Conversely,when the wedge falls on one of the anti-nodal points of a resonant mode,the mode would be evidently triggered.The initial falling velocity of the wedge mainly has a remarkable effect on the response amplitude of the most significant mode,and the latter shows a gradual increase trend with the increase of the former.While for the other two less significant modes,their response amplitudes fluctuate around certain constant values as the initial falling velocity rises.In general,the response amplitudes of all the lowest three modes are shown to gradually increase with the mass of the wedge.

Stimuli-responsive luminescent materials have attracted significant attention in the development of smart photoactive materials for both fundamental research and technological applications.In this work,a new copper iodide cluster(1)with aggregationinduced emission(AIE)characteristic,was obtained combining Cu_(4)I_(4) core with rhodamine B derivative ligand.1 has reversible and distinct multi-stimuli-responsive luminescence for external temperature,volatile organic compound,and mechanical force.Significantly,1 exhibited unusual large blue shift(84 nm)after being ground,which originated from the change of intermolecular interactions.Moreover,1 exhibits high oxygen quenching efficiency for 82.2% at 1 bar.Mechanistic studies showed that the multi-stimuli-responsive luminescence properties of 1 can be attributed to the regulation of cluster-centered luminescence process,metal-to-ligand charge transfer process,halide-to-metal charge transfer luminescence process and aggregationinduced barrier to oxygen process.This work not only reports an AIE copper iodide cluster,but also provides a new strategy to develop multi-stimuli-responsive luminescence materials.

The possible wave resonance in the narrow gap formed by the parallel arrangement of ships will lead to the sharp increase of wave loads and the rapid growth of motion response.The fluid resonance inside a narrow gap between two side-by-side boxes is investigated numerically based on an open-source CFD package,OpenFOAM.The upstream box remains fixed,while the downstream box is allowed to heave freely under wave actions.This work aims to examine the influence of the motion of the downstream box on the fluid resonant behaviors inside the gap.The hydrodynamic behaviors considered include the wave height inside the gap,the heave displacement,and the reflection,transmission,and energy loss coefficients.Gao et al.(2021)reported the influence of the motion of the upstream box on gap resonant behaviors.For comparative study,some results of Gao et al.(2021)are also presented in this work.It is found that the heave motion of any box in the two-box system leads to a smaller resonant wave height amplification and a larger fluid resonance frequency.The frequency at which the maximum heave displacement of the downstream box occurs is less than the fluid resonant frequency.The heave motion of any box in the two-box system results in a larger reflection coefficient and a smaller energy loss coefficient.

In this paper, the transient fluid resonance phenomenon inside a narrow gap between two adjacent boxes excited by the incident focused waves with various spectral peak periods and focused wave amplitudes is simulated by utilizing the open-sourced computational fluid dynamics software, Open FOAM. The weather-side box is allowed to heave freely under the action of waves, and the lee-side box keeps fixed. This paper mainly focuses on how both the spectral peak period and the focused wave amplitude affect the free-surface amplification inside the gap, the motion of the weather-side box, and the wave loads(including the vertical and the horizontal wave forces) acting on both boxes.For comparison, another two-box system with both boxes fixed is also considered as a control group. It is found that the motion of the weather-side box significantly changes the characteristics of the transient gap resonance, and it would cause that the fluid resonant period becomes 1.4-1.6 times that of the two-box system with both boxes fixed.All the concerned physical quantities(i.e., the free-surface amplification in the gap, the motion of the weather-side box, the wave loads) are found to closely depend on both the spectral peak period and the focused wave amplitude.

为了提高电液伺服系统(EHSSs)控制性能,考虑外部干扰力、摩擦力、参数变动、结构振动及未建模特性等系统不确定性,构建系统状态空间模型.为了应对系统不确定性,提出新型扩张滑模观测器(ESMO),用于同时估计系统全状态和系统不确定性,并结合等值注入原理及饱和函数进行合理优化.利用系统不确定性的估计值,在反步控制设计中引入障碍Lyapunov函数,将系统的跟踪误差约束在一定范围内,结合参数自适应律,提高系统控制性能.为了验证所提控制方法的性能,在MATLAB/Simulink软件平台构建仿真模型,进一步地,搭建电液伺服系统实验台及实时控制系统,进行仿真和实验验证.结果表明所提方法的性能优于基于障碍Lyapunov函数的反步控制器及传统的反步控制器.

Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease and its complications are a high-incidence disease worldwide.Numerous studies have shown that blood flow shear has a huge impact on the function of vascular endothelial cells,and it plays an important role in gene regulation of pro-inflammatory,pro-thrombotic,pro-oxidative stress,and cell permeability.Many impor-tant endothelial cell mechanosensitive genes have been discovered,including KLK10,CCN gene family,NRP2,YAP,TAZ,HIF-1α,NF-kB,FOS,jun,TFEB,KLF2/KLF4,NRF2,and ID1.Some of them have been intensively studied,whereas the relevant regulatory mechanism of other genes remains unclear.Focusing on these mechanosensitive genes will provide new strategies for therapeutic intervention in atherosclerotic vascular disease.Thus,this article reviews the mechanosensitive genes affecting vascular endothelial cells,including classical pathways and some newly screened genes,and summarizes the latest research progress on their roles in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis to reveal effective therapeutic targets of drugs and provide new insights foranti-atherosclerosis.

The seepage action on the bottom of a pier resting on a porous elastic seabed was obtained by numerical method. The seabed is assumed to be homogeneous, isotropic and linearly elastic porous medium, and can be described by Darcy's law, and the pore water is assumed to be compressible. The governing equations are Biot consolidation equation and storage equation. Considering the wave force acting directly on the pier, the seepage force and soil skeleton displacement were computed by iterative calculation with the motion of the pier. In the calculating process, it is divided into a diffraction problem and a radiation problem. Superposition of two solutions gives the final result.
