Dear Editor,As mass vaccination has been accomplished worldwide and a growing number of individuals have already been infected by SARS-CoV-2,understanding the incidence of subsequent re-infection is urgently required for comprehending the transmission dynamics of COVID-19(Bobrovitz et al.,2023).Additionally,current SARS-CoV-2 variants cause widespread escape from the neutralizing antibody(nAb)elicited by current ***,durable neutralization and memory B cell responses can be predicted by rapid CD4t T cell responses,particularly strong circulating T follicular helper(cTfh)cell responses,in individuals infected with SARS-CoV-2(Gong et al.,2020;Boppana et al.,2021;Narowski et al.,2022).Although nAb titers are known as predictors of protection against SARS-CoV-2 variants(Khoury et al.,2021),identifying more potential factors that could predict the risk of re-infection following primary infection and vaccination has become quite important in shaping prevention strategies(Chemaitelly et al.,2023).

Combining logical function and memory characteristics of transistors is an ideal strategy for enhancing computational efficiency of transistor ***,we rationally design a tri-gate two-dimensional(2D)ferroelectric van der Waals heterostructures device based on copper indium thiophosphate(CuInP_(2)S_(6))and few layers tungsten disulfide(WS_(2)),and demonstrate its multi-functional applications in multi-valued state of data,non-volatile storage,and logic *** co-regulating the input signals across the tri-gate,we show that the device can switch functions flexibly at a low supply voltage of 6 V,giving rise to an ultra-high current switching ratio of 107 and a low subthreshold swing of 53.9 mV/*** findings offer perspectives in designing smart 2D devices with excellent functions based on ferroelectric van der Waals heterostructures.

In order to improve the limited compatibility of existing polymer/ceramic dielectric composites and further enhance the energy storage density,MOF/polymer composite dielectrics have been explored,which exhibit good compatibility to the polymer matrix from abundant organic groups of the inorganic–organic hybrid metal-organic framework(MOF)***,they still lack a clear composition–structure–property rule,and the precise design of MOF fillers and polymer matrix becomes a prominent problem in these composites due to the diversity of the metal ions and the organic ***,in this paper,we present a series of formic acid MOFs/polylactic acid dielectric composites in which ferroelectric formic acid MOFs,namely PDLLA/[Nh_(3)(Ch_(2))_(4)Nh_(3)][M^(Ⅱ)(hCOO)_(3)]_(2)and PDLLA/[Ch_(3)Nh_(3)][M^(Ⅱ)(hCOO)_(3)]_(2),in which the formic acid MOFs are with different structures and different metal ions as fillers,including[Nh_(3)(Ch_(2)T_(4)Nh_(3))][M^(Ⅱ)(hCOO)_(3)]_(2)(namely MOF–Co(M=Co),MOF–Mg(M=Mg),MOF–Mn(M=Mn),with 1,4-butanediamine ion as guest)and[Ch_(3)Nh_(3)][M^(Ⅱ)(hCOO)_(3)]_(2)(namely MOF–Co_(2)(M=Co),MOF–Ni_(2)(Ni),with methylamine ion as guest).The composition and morphology of composite films were characterized by XRD,IR,SEM,DSC and UV,respectively,while the dielectric characterizations of the composites including the dielectric permittivity,the dielectric loss,the breakdown field strength and the energy density were also *** composition–structure–property relationships were also investigated including the influence of MOF content and MOF *** the introduction of MOFs,the dielectric constant of the polylactic acid substrate was improved slightly while the breakdown field strength can be improved in some ***,the Co(Ⅱ)-containing formic acid MOF has advantages over other formic acid MOFs with similar structure for the enhancement of the dielectric constant and breakdown field ***,in some composite films with meth

Maize(zea mays subspecies mays)is an important commercial crop across the world,and its flowering time is closely related to grain yield,plant cycle and latitude ***1 is an essential clock-regulated blue-light receptor with distinct functions on flowering time in plants,and its function in maize remains *** this study,we identified two FKF1 homologs in the maize genome,named zmFKF1a and zmFKF1b,and indicated that zmFKF1a and zmFKF1b independently regulate reproductive transition through interacting with zmCONz1 and zmGI1 to increase the transcription levels of zmCONz1 and *** demonstrated that zmFKF1b underwent artificial selection during modern breeding in China probably due to its role in geographical ***,our data suggested that zmFKF1bhap_C7 may be an elite allele,which increases the abundance of zmCONz1 mRNA more efficiently and adapt to a wider range of temperature zone than that of zmFKF1bhap_z58 to promote maize floral *** extends our understanding of the genetic diversity of maize *** allele is expected to be introduced into tropical maize germplasm to enrich breeding resources and may improve the adaptability of maize at different climate zones,especially at temperate region.

Abundant interfacial defects remain a significant challenge that hampers both the efficiency and stability of perovskite solar cells(PSCs).herein,an alcohol-dispersed conducting polymer complex,denoted as PEDOT:F(Poly(3,4-ethylene dioxythiophene):Perfluorinated sulfonic acid ionomers),is introduced into the interface between perovskite and hole transporting layer in regular-structured ***:F serves as a multi-functional interface layer(filling grain boundaries and covering perovskite's grain-surface)to achieve a robust interaction with organic groups within perovskites,which could induce a structural transformation of PEDOT to increase its conductivity for the efficient ***,the strong interaction between PEDOT and perovskites could promote an effective coupling of undercoordinated Pb~(2+)ions with the lone electron pairs near O&S atoms in PEDOT molecules,thereby enhancing defect ***,PEDOT:F with inherent hydrophobic properties prevents effectively moisture invasion into perovskites for the improved long-term stability of the ***,the PEDOT:F-based PSCs achieved a champion efficiency of 24.81%,and maintained ca.92%of their initial efficiency after 7680 h of storage in a dry air environment,accompanied by the enhanced photothermal stability.

Stem cells remain in a quiescent state for long-term maintenance and preservation of potency;this process requires fine-tuning regulatory *** this study,we identified the epigenetic landscape along the developmental trajectory of skeletal stem cells(SSCs)in skeletogenesis governed by a key regulator,Ptip(also known as Paxip1,Pax interaction with transcription-activation domain protein-1).Our results showed that Ptip is required for maintaining the quiescence and potency of SSCs,and loss of Ptip in type II collagen(Col2)^(+)progenitors causes abnormal activation and differentiation of SSCs,impaired growth plate morphogenesis,and long bone *** also found that Ptip suppressed the glycolysis of SSCs through downregulation of phosphoglycerate kinase 1(Pgk1)by repressing histone h3 lysine 27 acetylation(h3K27ac)at the promoter ***,inhibition of glycolysis improved the function of SSCs despite Ptip *** the best of our knowledge,this is the first study to establish an epigenetic framework based on Ptip,which safeguards skeletal stem cell quiescence and potency through metabolic *** framework is expected to improve SSC-based treatments of bone developmental disorders.

For practicable elastomeric polyethylene,achieving high catalyst thermal stability and activity,along with precise control of polymer properties such as branching density,molecular weights,and distribution,is crucial but *** this study,two sets of symmetricalα-diimine nickel complexes,each comprising four nickel bromide or chloride complexes,were synthesized and investigated their performance for ethylene polymerization under various reaction *** activation with either Et2AlCl or MMAO cocatalysts,these complexes displayed not only high activity but also generated high molecular weight polyethylenes with controlled polydispersity and a substantial number of *** catalyst with the least steric hindrance displayed the remarkable high activity(up to 1.2×10^(7) g·mol^(-1)·h^(-1)).Notably,nickel bromides demonstrated higher activity compared to their chloride *** investigation into the effect of reaction temperature on catalytic performance revealed that NiBrMe-MMAO system displayed high thermal stability(activity up to 2.51×10^(6) g·mol^(-1)·h^(-1) at 100℃)and consistently yielded high polymer molecular weights with narrow polydispersity over a broad temperature range of 30-100℃.Of significant note,mechanical analysis of the resulting polyethylene demonstrated excellent ultimate tensile strength and high strain at ***,the polyethylene sample prepared at 100℃exhibited ultimate tensile strength up to 10 MPa with 1863%maximum strain at break and a strain recovery of up to 54.9%after ten cycles at a fixed strain of 300%,indicating excellent material properties of prepared thermoplastic polyethylene elastomers(TPE).

Medicinal plants,as medicinal materials and important drug components,have been used in traditional and folk medicine for ***,being sessile organisms,they are seriously affected by extreme environmental conditions and abiotic stresses such as salt,heavy metal,temperature,and water *** plants usually produce specific secondary metabolites to survive such stresses,and these metabolites can often be used for treating human ***,medicinal plants have been found to partner with endophytic fungi to form a long-term,stable,and win-win symbiotic *** fungi can promote secondary metabolite accumulation in medicinal *** close relationship can improve host plant resistance to the abiotic stresses of soil salinity,drought,and extreme *** symbiosis also sheds light on plant growth and active compound ***,we show that endophytic fungi can improve the host medicinal plant resistance to abiotic stress by regulating active compounds,reducing oxidative stress,and regulating the cell ion *** also identify the deficiencies and burning issues of available studies and present promising research topics for the *** review provides guidance for endophytic fungi research to improve the ability of medicinal plants to resist abiotic *** also suggests ideas and methods for active compound accumulation in medicinal plants and medicinal material development during the response to abiotic stress.

Combining theoretical prediction and experimental exploration, the first sandwich-type polyoxovanadoborate(POVB) with an odd number of nuclei, [V_(11)B_(26)O_(73)(Oh)_(10)]^(8-)(1), was discovered under hydrothermal conditions. Density-functional theory(DFT)gives a rationalization for the existence of this structure and the structural feature is consistent with the {V_NB_(2N+X)}(X = 2, 4, 6, 8)general formula. Excitingly, when Co and 1,10-phenanthroline(phen) are introduced into the synthesis of vanadoborates system,a 100-nuclei [Co_6(phen)_(10)(h_(2)O)_8][V_(14)Co_(12)B_(72)O_(144)(Oh)_(20)]·28h_(2)O(2) and a 102-nuclei [Co_6(phen)_(14)(h_(2)O)_(4)][V_(14)Co_(12)B_(72)O_(144)(Oh)_(20)]·23h_(2)O(3) with the same core structure of [V_(14)Co_(12)B_(72)]^(12-)are obtained. The vase-shaped [V_(14)Co_(12)B_(72)] polyanion is a multilayered sandwich-type structure containing seven distinct structural layers and is the largest known POVB. Furthermore, 2demonstrates exceptional thermal and chemical stability and serves as an efficient and stable catalyst for the photoreduction of carbon dioxide.
