Biomarkers are molecules of biological processes that help in both the diagnosis of human diseases and in follow-up assessments of therapeutic responses. Biomarkers can be measured in many human fluids, such as blood, cerebrospinal fluid, urine, and saliva. The-omics methods(genomics, RNomics, proteomics, and metabolomics) are useful at measuring thousands of markers in a small volume. Saliva is a human fluid that is easily accessible, without any ethical concerns. Yet, saliva remains unexplored in regard to many human disease biomarkers. In this review, we will give an overview on saliva and how it can be influenced by exogenous factors. As we focus on the potential use of saliva as a diagnostic tool in brain disorders(especially Alzheimer's disease), we will cover how saliva is linked to the brain. We will discuss that saliva is a heterogeneous human fluid, yet useful for the discovery of biomarkers in human disorders. However, a procedure and consensus that is controlled, validated, and standardized for the collection and processing of saliva is required, followed by a highly sensitive diagnostic approach.

The previous ideology of complexity factor for the dynamical spheres[Herrera et al 2018,Phys.Rev.D,98,104059]is extended for the influence of charge.A dynamical spherically symmetric non-dissipative and dissipative self-gravitating structure is examined in the presence of Maxwell f(G)gravity to examine the complexity factor.The pattern of evolution is studied with the minimal complexity constraint.The complexity factor remains the same for the structure of fluid distribution,while we examine homologous constraints for the most basic evolution pattern.We calculate the structure scalars which play an important role in order to understand the fundamental properties of the system.The fluid is geodesic as well as shearing for the dissipative case and there is a large number of solutions.In the non-dissipative fluid distribution,a shear-free,homogeneous and isotropic,geodesic fluid correlates with the evolving homologous and vanishing complexity condition.The implication of the condition of vanishing complexity factor and stability are discussed at the end.

In the framework of a non-relativistic quark model,we have calculated the masses of the QQQ′Q′(Q=c,b,s and Q′=c,b,s)tetraquark states.Using the linear and quadratic confinement potentials inside a Cornell-type potential along with all possible spin and color configurations,the Schrodinger equation masses of these tetraquark states have been calculated.Based on our numerical analysis,linear confinement and quadratic confinement produce acceptable results.Models that use linear confinement estimate charmonium-like tetraquark mass close to experimental data,as well as bottomonium-like tetraquark mass below the threshold of their meson-meson channels.

Let X be a finite partially ordered set,R an associative unital ring andσan endomorphism of R.We describe some properties of the skew incidence ring I(X,R,σ)such as invertible elements,idempotents,the Jacobson radical and the center.Moreover,if two skew incidence rings I(X,R,σ)and I(Y,S,τ)are isomorphic and the only idempotents of R and S are the trivial ones,we show that the partially ordered sets X and Y are isomorphic.

This study focuses on the stability and local bifurcations of a discrete-time SIR epidemic model with logistic growth of the susceptible individuals analytically,and numerically.The analytical results are obtained using thenormal form technique and numerical results are obtained using the numerical continuation method.For this model,a number of bifurcations are studied,including the transcritical(pitchfork)and fip bifurcations,the Neimark-Sacker(NS)bifurcations,and the strong resonance bifurcations.We especially determine the dynamical behaviors of the model for higher iterations up to fourth-order.Numerical simulation is employed to present a closed invariant curve emerging about an NS point,and its breaking down to several closed invariant curves and eventuality giving rise to a chaotic strange attractor by increasing the bifurcation parameter.

During the last decade high-throughput in vitro absorption,distribution,metabolism and excretion(HTADME)screening has become an essential part of any drug discovery effort of synthetic molecules.The conduct of HT-ADME screening has been"industrialized"due to the extensive development of software and automation tools in cell culture,assay incubation,sample analysis and data analysis.The HT-ADME assay portfolio continues to expand in emerging areas such as drug-transporter interactions,early soft spot identification,and ADME screening of peptide drug candidates.Additionally,thanks to the very large and high-quality HT-ADME data sets available in many biopharma companies,in silico prediction of ADME properties using machine learning has also gained much momentum in recent years.In this review,we discuss the current state-of-the-art practices in HT-ADME screening including assay portfolio,assay automation,sample analysis,data processing,and prediction model building.In addition,we also offer perspectives in future development of this exciting field.

Gas distribution function plays a crucial role in the description of gas flows at the mesoscopic scale.In the presence of non-equilibrium flow,the distribution function loses its rotational symmetricity,making the mathematical derivation difficult.From both the Chapman-Enskog expansion and the Hermite polynomial expansion(Grad’s method),we observe that the non-equilibrium effect is closely related to the peculiar velocity space(C).Based on this recognition,we propose a new methodology to construct the non-equilibrium distribution function from the perspective of polynomial expansion in the peculiar velocity space of molecules.The coefficients involved in the non-equilibrium distribution function can be exactly determined by the compatibility conditions and the moment relationships.This new framework allows constructing non-equilibrium distribution functions at any order of truncation,and the ones at the third and the fourth order have been presented in this paper for illustration purposes.Numerical validations demonstrate that the new method is more accurate than the Grad’s method at the same truncation error for describing non-equilibrium effects.Two-dimensional benchmark tests are performed to shed light on the applicability of the new method to practical engineering problems.

In this article,an investigation is conducted to study the precise role of zirconium nanoparticles that exist in a slime-like fluid subject to specific adjustments.Since gliding is a technique of mobility used by bacteria that lack motility components,bacteria travel on their own strength in gliding locomotion by secreting a layer of slime on the substrate.A model of an undulating sheet over a layer of slime of a Rabinowitsch fluid is investigated as a potential model of bacteria’s gliding motility.With the aid of long wavelength approximation,the equations governing the circulation of slime underneath the cells are established and analytically solved.The effects of pseudoplasticity,dilatation and non-Newtonian parameter on the behavior of zirconium concentration,speed of microorganism(bacteria),streamline patterns,and pressure rise for non-Newtonian and Newtonian fluids are compared.The power required for propulsion is also investigated.Physical interpretation for the pertinent variables has been graphically discussed against the parameters under consideration.It is found that with the increase in the concentration of zirconium nanoparticles,the bacterial flow is accelerated and attains its maximum near the rigid substrate wall while an opposite behavior is noticed in the rest region.
