Effect of Pb Ions on the Ionic Conductivity of Some Silicate Glass Systems

Conductivity of glasses in the systems ***, (where R=Ca, Sr or Ba) was investigated between room temperature and 530 K. The dependence of log resistivity as well as the activation energy on the PbO content has been studied. Based on the present experimental results, the possible different conduction mechanisms in such glasses are discussed. It was postulated that Pb2+ ions may represent the major charge carrying species in these glasses. This assumption was confirmed by the calculations of the mean distance between the interstitial Pb2+ ions and the effective center of the O2- ions in the glass networks. The variation in the values of the density and the molar volume with PbO content is also discussed in view of the obtained activation energies for the studied glass-systems.

The dielectric constant, e', and the dielectric loss. e', for some selected lead borate glasses within the frequency band 105 to 107 Hz and the temperature range (20-50)'C were measured. The dielectric dispersion and the dielectric loss absorption bands were observed. the relaxation time, the activation enthalpy and entropy change of the dielectric relaxation were calculated. The results obtained were discussed and correlated to the internal network structure of the glasses studied.

Watermarking is embedding visible or invisible data within media to verify its authenticity or protect *** watermark is embedded in significant spatial or frequency features of the media to make it more resistant to intentional or unintentional *** of these features are important perceptual features according to the human visual system(HVS),which means that the embedded watermark should be imperceptible in these ***,both the designers of watermarking algorithms and potential attackers must consider these perceptual features when carrying out their *** two roles will be considered in this paper when designing a robust watermarking algorithm against the most harmful attacks,like volumetric scaling,histogram equalization,and non-conventional watermarking attacks like the Denoising Convolution Neural Network(DnCNN),which must be considered in watermarking algorithm design due to its rising role in the state-of-the-art *** DnCNN is initialized and trained using watermarked image samples created by our proposed Covert and Severe Attacks Resistant Watermarking Algorithm(CSRWA)to prove its *** this algorithm to satisfy the robustness and imperceptibility tradeoff,implementing the Dither Modulation(DM)algorithm is boosted by utilizing the Just Noticeable Distortion(JND)principle to get an improved performance in this ***,luminance,inter and intra-block contrast are used to adjust the JND values.

Energy consumption has become a key metric for evaluating how good an embedded system is,alongside more performance metrics like respecting operation deadlines and speed of *** improvement is no longer the only metric by which optimality is *** fact,energy efficiency is becoming a preferred choice with a fundamental objective to optimize the system's *** this work,we propose an optimal energy efficient scheduling algorithm for aperiodic real-time jobs to reduce CPU energy ***,we apply the concept of real-time process scheduling to a dynamic voltage and frequency scaling(DVFS)*** address a variant of earliest deadline first(EDF)scheduling algorithm called energy saving-dynamic voltage and frequency scaling(ES-DVFS)algorithm that is suited to unpredictable future energy production and irregular job *** prove that ES-DVFS cannot attain a total value greater than C/ˆSα,whereˆS is the minimum speed of any job and C is the available energy *** also investigate the implications of having in advance,information about the largest job size and the minimum speed used for the competitive factor of *** show that such advance knowledge makes possible the design of semi-on-line algorithm,ES-DVFS∗∗,that achieved a constant competitive factor of 0.5 which is proved as an optimal competitive *** experimental study demonstrates that substantial energy savings and highest percentage of feasible job sets can be obtained through our solution that combines EDF and DVFS optimally under the given aperiodic jobs and energy models.

This paper examines the transport analysis, including both heat transfer and mass transfer, in hybrid nanofluid flow containing gyrotactic microorganisms towards a curved oscillatory surface. The influence of magnetic fields is also inspected in terms of their physical characteristics. To depict the phenomena of transport, modified versions of both Fick's and Fourier's laws are used. Additionally, the characteristics of both heterogeneous and homogeneous chemical reactions are also incorporated. Utilizing a curvilinear coordinate system, the flow problem is formulated as partial differential equations(PDEs)for momentum, concentration, microorganism field, and energy. An analytical solution to the obtained flow equations is achieved utilizing the homotopy analysis method(HAM).The effects of significant flow parameters on the pressure and microorganism fields, velocity, oscillation velocity, concentration, and temperature distributions are shown via graphs. Furthermore, the variations in skin friction, mass transfer rate, heat transfer rate, and local motile number due to different involved parameters are presented in tables and are analyzed in detail. Graphical results indicate that the curves of velocity and temperature fields are enhanced as the values of the solid volume fraction variables *** is also verified that the concentration rate field decreases as the values of the homogeneous reaction strength parameter and the radius of curvature parameter increase, and it increases with the Schmidt number and the heterogeneous reaction strength *** outcomes show a favorable response of the motile number to advanced values of the Peclet number, the Schmidt number, the microorganism difference parameter, and the bio-convective Lewis number.
