Crosslinking treatment of collagen has often been used to improve the biological stability and mechanical properties of 3D porous collagen scaffolds. However, accompanying these improvements, the collagen fibril surface becomes hydrophobic nature resulting in a reduced surface wettability. The wetting of the collagen fibril by culture medium is reduced and it is difficult for the medium to diffuse into the 3D structure of a porous collagen scaffold. This paper reports a ＂perfusion processing＂ strategy using oz.ne to improve the surface wettability of chemical crosslinked collagen scaffolds. Surface wettability, surface composition and biological stability were analyz.d to evaluate the effectiveness of this surface processing strategy. It was observed that oz.ne perfusion processing improved surface wettability for both exterior and interior surfaces of the porous 3D collagen scaffold. The improvement in wettability is attributed to the incorporation of oxygen-containing functional groups onto the surface of the collagen fibrils, as confirmed by X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy （XPS） analysis. This leads to a significant improvement in water taking capability without compromising the bulk biological stability and mechanical properties, and confirms that oz.ne perfusion processing is an effective tool to modify the wettability both for interior and exterior surfaces throughout the scaffold.

Hydrothermal stability is crucial for the practical application of deNO_(x)catalyst on diesel vehicles,for the selective catalytic reduction of NO_(x)with NH_(3)(NH_(3)-SCR).SnO_(2)-based materials possess superior hydrothermal stability,which is attractive for the development of NH_(3)-SCR *** this work,a series of Ce-Nb/SnO_(2)catalysts,with Ce and Nb loading on SnO_(2)support,were prepared by impregnation *** was found that,the NH_(3)-SCR activities and hydrothermal stabilities of the Ce-Nb/SnO_(2)catalysts significantly varied with the impregnation sequences,and the Ce-Nb(f)/SnO_(2) catalyst that firstly impregnated Nb and then impregnated Ce exhibited the best *** characteriz.tion results revealed that CeNb(f)/SnO_(2)possessed appropriate acidity and redox ***,the strong synergistic effect between Nb and Sn species stabiliz.d the structure and maintained the dispersion of acid *** study may provide a new understanding for the effect of impregnation sequence on activity and hydrothermal stability and a new environmental-friendly NH_(3)-SCR catalyst with potential applications for NO_(x)removal from diesel and hydrogenfueled engines.

Preparation of CIP@TiO_(2) composite with broadband electromagnetic wave absorption properties

Scholars aim for the improved impedance matching (z. of materials while maintaining their excellent wave absorption properties. Based on the hydrolysis characteristics of isopropyl titanate, a simple preparation process for the coating of carbonyl iron powder(CIP) with TiO_(2) was designed. given the TiO2coating, the z.of the CIP@TiO_(2) composite was adjusted well by decreasing the dielectric constant. Moreover, the interfacial polariz.tion of CIP@TiO_(2) was enhanced. Ultimately, the electromagnetic-wave (EMW) absorption property of the CIP@TiO_(2)composite was improved substantially, the minimum reflection loss reached-46.07 dB, and the effective absorption bandwidth can reach 8 gHz.at the composite thickness of 1.5 mm. Moreover, compared with CIP, the oxidation resistance of CIP@TiO_(2)showed remarkable improvement. The results revealed that the oxidation starting temperature of CIP@TiO_(2) as about 400℃,whereas the uncoated CIP had an oxidation starting temperature of approximately 250℃. Moreover, the largest oxidation rate temperature of CIP@TiO_(2) increased to around 550℃. This work opens up a novel strategy for the production of high-performance EMW absorbers via structural design.

With an elemental composition similar to bone mineral,and the ability to release phosphorus and calcium that benefit bone regeneration,Calcium Phosphate glass(CPg)serves as a promising component of bone tissue engineering ***,the degradation of CPg composites typically results in increased acidity,and its impact on bone-forming activity is less *** this work,we prepared 3D-printed composite scaffolds comprising CPg,Poly-ε-caprolactone(PCL),and various Magnesium Oxide(MgO)*** the MgO content effectively suppressed the degradation of CPg,maintaining a physiological pH of the degradation *** the degradation of CPg/PCL scaffolds resulted in upregulated apoptosis of Rat Bone Marrow-derived Stem Cells(rBMSC),scaffolds containing MgO were free from these negative impacts,and an optimal MgO content of 1 wt%led to the most pronounced osteogenic differentiation of *** work demonstrated that the rapid degradation of CPg impaired the renewability of stem cells through the increased acidity of the surrounding media,and MgO effectively modulated the degradation rate of CPg,thus preventing the negative effects of rapid degradation and supporting the proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of the stem cells.

In this paper, we present a detector-integrated vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser(VCSEL) with a movable high-contrast grating(HCg) mirror in an n-i-p-i-n manner. The detector-integrated VCSEL with a movable HCg can achieve three functions, including wavelength tuning, power monitoring, and resonant-cavity-enhanced(RCE)photon detection. Currently, the device can achieve a wavelength tuning range of 27 nm at room temperature when the suspended HCg is driven by the reverse-bias voltage. The n-i-p structure located at the upper part of the device can serve as an intra-cavity photodiode to monitor the output power due to the defect absorption. The RCE photon detection function of the detector-integrated VCSEL with a movable HCg is measured, and it has a peak responsivity at about 926 nm. This detector-integrated VCSEL with a movable HCg will be useful for sensing and imaging.

Pretreatment of the carrier for supported catalysts can effectively improve the strong metal-support interaction(SMSI)and increase the dispersion of precious metals,which are critical to many important catalytic *** this work,we tuned SMSI on Pd/TiO_(2)catalysts through inducing surface defects of TiO_(2)by pretreated with different atmospheres(H_(2)/N_(2),N_(2),O_(2)/N_(2))at the high temperature(800℃).Multiple characteriz.tion results illustrated that surface defects anchored Pd species and thus enhanced their *** reduction,Ti^(3+)species formed and transferred onto the metallic Pd species and then induced SMSI,which effectively stabiliz. Pd species in the metallic *** stronger MSI,the more stability of Pd *** a case,Pd/TiO_(2)–800H_(2),with strongest MSI,displayed the best HCHO oxidation performance at low temperature(10℃).

Environmental photocatalysis is a promising technology for treating antibiotics in *** this study,a supercritical carboniz.tion method was developed to synthesiz. a single-atom photocatalyst with a high loading of Ni(above 5 wt.%)anchored on a carbonnitrogen-silicate substrate for the efficient photodegradation of a ubiquitous environmental contaminant of tetracycline(TC).The photocatalyst was prepared from an easily obtained metal-biopolymer-inorganic supramolecular hydrogel,followed by supercritical drying and carboniz.tion *** low-temperature(300℃)supercritical ethanol treatment prevents the excessive structural degradation of hydrogel and greatly reduces the metal clustering and aggregation,which contributed to the high Ni *** characteriz.tions confirmed that Ni was present at isolated sites and stabiliz.d by Ni-N and Ni-O bonds in a Ni-(N/O)_(6)-C/SiC configuration.A 5%Ni-C-Si catalyst,which performed the best among the studied catalysts,exhibited a wide visible light response with a narrow bandgap of 1.45 eV that could efficiently and repeatedly catalyz. the oxidation of TC with a conversion rate of almost 100% within 40 *** reactive species trapping experiments and electron spin resonance(ESR)tests demonstrated that the h+,and·O_(2)-were mainly responsible for TC *** TC degradation mechanism and possible reaction pathways were provided ***,this study proposed a novel strategy to synthesiz. a high metal loading singleatom photocatalyst that can efficiently remove TC with high concentrations,and this strategy might be extended for synthesis of other carbon-based single-atom catalysts with valuable properties.
