bone collagen hydrolysates(peptides)derived from byproduct of animal product processing have been used to produce commercially valuable products due to their potential antioxidant *** glycosylated reaction is considered as a promising method to enhance the antioxidant activity of ***,this research aims at investigating the Maillard glycosylation activity and antioxidant activity of bone collagen hydrolysates from different *** this study,3 glycosylated bone collagen hydrolysates were prepared and characterized,and cytotoxicity and antioxidant activity were analyzed and *** free amino groups loss,browning intensity,and fluorescence intensity of G-Cbcp(glycosylated chicken bone collagen hydrolysates(peptides))were the heaviest,followed by G-Pbcp(glycosylated porcine bone collagen hydrolysates(peptides))and G-bbcp(glycosylated bovine bone collagen hydrolysates(peptides)).The results of amino acid analysis showed that amino acid composition of different bone collagen hydrolysates was significantly different and the amino acid decreased to different degrees after Maillard glycosylated reaction,which may lead to differences in Maillard glycosylated reaction ***,the 3 glycosylated hydrolysates showed no significant *** results showed that glycosylation process significantly increased the antioxidant activity of bone collagen hydrolysates,and G-Cbcp showed the strongest antioxidant activity,followed by G-Pbcp and ***,compared with the bone collagen hydrolysates,3 glycosylated hydrolysates showed significant characteristic and structural changes,and higher antioxidant activity.

zeolite-based catalyst hydrocracking of plastics is a potential strategy for mitigating the environmental impacts of plastic wastes and recycling valuable resources,but difficult mass transfer,low concentration of acid sites,and high cost are still barriers to their practical *** this paper,we report an excellent hydrocracking catalyst of zSM-5 nanosheets(Ce/b-zSM-5)modified by Ce species with high conversion up to 96.3%,C_(3)−C_(5)selectivity up to 80.9%,and good stability during the hydrogenation of low-density *** comprehensive studies,b-zSM-5 shows higher molecular diffusion efficiency and acid site concentrations compared with normal zSM-5(n-zSM-5)and hollow zSM-5(h-zSM-5).The introduction of Ce species into b-zSM-5 further increases the density of brønsted(b)and Lewis(L)acid sites as active sites,which enhances the adsorption of substrates and facilitates the formation of intermediates and desorption of *** a result,the hydrocracking activity of Ce/b-zSM-5 is significantly improved.

Efficacy and Safety of bufei Jiedu Granules in Treating Multidrug-Resistant Pulmonary Tuberculosis:A Multi-center,Double-blinded and Randomized Controlled Trial

Objective: To assess the efficacy and safety of bufei Jiedu(bFJD) Granules as adjuvant therapy for patients with multidrug-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis(MDR-PTb). Methods: A large-scale, multi-center, double-blinded, and randomized controlled trial was conducted in 18 sentinel hospitals in China from December 2012 to December 2016. A total of 312 MDR-PTb patients were randomly assigned to bFJD Granules or placebo groups(1:1) using a stratified randomization method, which both received the long-course chemotherapy regimen for 18 months(6 Am-Lfx-P-z-Pto, 12 Lfx-P-z-Pto). Meanwhile, patients in both groups also received bFJD Granules or placebo twice a day for a total of 18 months, respectively. The primary outcome was cure rate. The secondary outcomes included time to sputum-culture conversion, changes in lung cavities and quality of life(QoL) of patients. Adverse reactions were monitored during and after the trial. Results: A total of 216 cases completed the trial, 111 in the bFJD Granules group and 105 in the placebo group. bFJD Granules, as adjuvant treatment, increased the cure rate by 13.6% at the end of treatment, compared with the placebo(58.4% vs. 44.8%, P=0.02), and accelerated the median time to sputum-culture conversion(5 months vs. 11 months). The cavity closure rate of the bFJD Granules group(50.6%, 43/85) was higher than that of the placebo group(32.1%, 26/81;P=0.02) in patients who completed the treatment. At the end of the intensive treatment, according to the 36-item Short Form, the bFJD Granules significantly improved physical functioning, general health, and vitality of patients relative to the placebo group(all PbFJD Granules group and 2.6%(4/156) in the placebo group. Conclusions: Supplementing bFJD Granules with the long-course chemotherapy regimen significantly increased the cure rate and cavity closure rate, and rapidly improved QoL of pati

Enhanced Natural Convection for Accelerating Melting of Phase Change Material in Cellular Structure through Inserting Fin

The design of thermal conductivity enhancers(TCE) is quite critical to overcoming the disadvantage of the poor thermal conductivity of phase change materials(PCM).The main contribution of this study is firstly to discuss how to actively enhance natural convection of the melted PCM in cellular structure by the fin formed in the structure under the condition of the same metal mass,apart from simultaneously improving heat conduction,which can boost the heat transfer ***,a tailored hybrid fin-lattice structure(HFS) as TCE is designed and fabricated by additive manufacturing(AM).A two-equation numerical method is applied to study the heat transfer of the PCM,and its feasibility is validated with the experimental *** numerical results indicate that enhanced natural convection and improved heat conduction can be obtained simultaneously when a well-designed fin is embedded into a lattice *** enhanced natural convection results in the improved melting rate and the decreased wall temperature;e.g.,the complete melting time and the wall temperature are reduced by 11.6% and 19.7%,respectively,because of the fin for metal ***,the parameters of HFS including the porosity,pore density,and fin dimension have a great impact on the heat *** enhancement effect of the fin for HFS on the melting rate of the PCM increases as the thermal conductivity of the base material *** example,when the fin is introduced into the lattice structure,the complete melting time is reduced by 24.1% for metal *** summary,this study enables us to obtain a good understanding of the mechanism of the heat transfer and provides necessary experimental data for the structural design of HFS fabricated by AM.

Nutrient transport following water transfer through the world's largest water diversion channel

Nutrient levels in the artificial channel constructed for the Middle Route Project are significant indicators of water quality safety and aquatic ecological integrity for this large,interbasin ***,the distribution and transport of nutrients along the channel were poorly *** on a time-series dataset as well as mass balance and material flow analysis methods,the water and nutrient transport fluxes in the Middle Route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project were identified in this *** results indicate that the nutrient concentrations varied considerably with time,but there was no significant difference among the 30 stations of the main *** temperature difference was the major factor in the large fluctuations of water quality indicators over *** nutrient loadings varied with the water volume outputs from the main channel to the waterreceiving *** deposition was an important source of nutrients in the main channel,accounting for 9.13%,20.6%,and 0.635%of the nitrogen,phosphorus,and sulfur input from the Danjiangkou Reservoir,*** 2021,a net accumulation of 988 tons of N,29 tons of P,and 2,540 tons of S,respectively,were present in the main *** increase of these external and internal nutrient loadings would cause water quality fluctuation and deterioration in some local sections of the main *** study quantified the spatial and temporal patterns of nutrient transport in the Middle Route and revealed the ecological effects on the aquatic environment,assisting authorities on the project to develop effective water conservation strategies.
