Groundwater vulnerability assessment is a crucial step in th. efficient management of groundwater resources,especially in areas with.intensive anth.opogenic activities and groundwater *** th. present study,th. DRASTIC meth.d was applied using Geograph.c Information System(GIS)to delineate groundwater vulnerability zones in th. Erbil Dumpsite area,Central Erbil Basin,North.*** sh.wed th.t th. area was classified into four vulnerability classes:Very low(16.97%),low(27.67%),moderate(36.55%)and h.gh.18.81%).Th. south.rn,south.eastern and north.rn parts of th. study area exh.bited th. h.gh.st vulnerability potential,wh.le th. central-north.rn,north.rn and north.western regions displayed th. lowest vulnerability ***,results of th. single-parameter sensitivity analysis indicated th.t amongst th. seven DRASTIC parameters,th. unsaturated zone and th. aquifer media were th. most influencing *** conclustion,th. correlation of 25 nitrate concentration values with.th. final vulnerability map,assessed using th. Pearson correlation coefficient,yielded a satisfactory result of R=0.72.

Savanna, semi-deserts, and h.t deserts ch.racterize th. Sah.ro-Arabian region, wh.ch.includes Morocco, Mauretania, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Palestine, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bah.ain, th. United Arab Emirates, Oman, Yemen, south.rn Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Afgh.nistan, Pakistan, and north.rn India. Its neigh.oring regions, th. Sudano-Zambezian region belonging to th. Paleotropical Kingdom and th. Mediterranean and Irano-Turanian regions included in th. h.larctic Kingdom, sh.re a large portion of th.ir flora with.th. Sah.ro-Arabian region. Despite th. widespread acknowledgment of th. region's global importance for plant diversity, an up to date list of th. Sah.ro-Arabian endemics is still unavailable. Th. available data are frequently insufficient or out of date at both.th. wh.le global and th. national scales. Th.refore, th. present study aims at screening and verifying th. Sah.ro-Arabian endemic plants and determining th. ph.togeograph.cal distribution of th.se taxa in th. Egyptian flora. h.nce, a preliminary list of 429 Sah.ro-Arabian endemic plants in Egypt was compiled from th. available literature. Indeed, by excluding th. species th.t were recorded in any countries or regions outside th. Sah.ro-Arabian region based on different literature, database reviews, and websites, th. present study h.s reduced th.s number to 126 taxa belonging to 87 genera and 37 families. Regarding th. national geograph.c distribution, South.Sinai is th. rich.st region with.83 endemic species compared with.oth.r eigh. ph.togeograph.c regions in Egypt, followed by th. Isth.ic Desert(th. middle of Sinai Peninsula, 53 taxa). Sah.ra regional subzone(SS1) distributes all th. 126 endemic species, Arabian regional subzone(SS2) owns 79 taxa, and Nubo-Sindian subzone(SS3) distributes only 14 endemics. Placket-Burman Design *** Mh.133 is significantly influenced by elicitation,yeast extract,inoculum size,and incubation period in terms of antibacterial activity.A total of 27 experimental trials with.various combinations of th.se factors were used to carry out th. response surface tech.ique using th. Objective:Th. aim of th.s study was to review findings from a large prospective national database of ch.mosensory disturbances associated with.coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)*** Sources:Th. Virginia Commonwealth.University Smell and Taste Center national database of COVID-19 ch.mosensory ***:A series of online surveys,first opened on April 10,2020,was made accessible nationwide to any adult with.sudden ch.mosensory dysfunction since January *** received subsequent follow-up surveys 14 days,1 month.3 month.,and 6 month. after *** additional survey was sent to all participants on May 28,2022 to assess long-term *** pertaining to demograph.cs,symptoms,comorbidities,treatments,and life impact was ***:Of 363 participants wh. reported complete smell recovery,51.2%recovered with.n 1 month.70%with.n 3 month.,and 79%with.n 6 month.,wh.le 8.8%took over 1 year to completely *** all participants,7.5%h.d no smell *** predictors of recovery included ageh. presence of nasal *** predictors included difficulty breath.ng and prior h.ad *** participants reported a decrease in quality of life and th. presence of potential safety h.zards associated with.decreased smell ***:Most subjects with.COVID-19-related ch.mosensory dysfunction recover,with.th. majority noting complete recovery with.n weeks of *** aged over 40 years and female gender were associated with.lower rates of recovery.A considerable number of participants reported significant impact on quality of life and safety.

Impact problems associated with.water entry h.ve important applications in various aspects of naval arch.tecture and ocean engineering. Estimation of h.drodynamic impact forces especially during th. first instances after th. impact is very important and is of interest. Since th. estimation of h.drodynamic impact load plays an important role in safe design and also in evaluation of structural weigh. and costs, it is better to use a reliable and accurate prediction meth.d instead of a simple estimation resulted by analyzing meth.ds. In landing of flying boats, some ph.nomena such.as weath.r conditions and strong winds can cause asymmetric instead of symmetric descent. In th.s paper, a numerical simulation of th. asymmetric impact of a wedge, as th. step of a flying boat, considering dynamic equations in two-ph.se flow is taken into account. Th. dynamic motion of th. wedge in two-ph.se flow is solved based on finite volume meth.d with.volume of fluid （VOF） sch.me considering dynamic equations. Th.n th. effects of different angles of impact and water depth.on th. velocity ch.nge and slamming forces in an asymmetric impact are investigated. Th. comparison between th. simulation results and experimental data verifies th. accuracy of th. meth.d applied in th. present study.
