Glial cells comprise -90% of the human brain and are divided into two subtypes： microglia and astrocytes. Astrocytes play a vital role in maintaining central nervous system （CNS） homeostasis, regulating ion concentrations and providing metabolic support for neighboring neurons, stabilizing synapses, supporting the neurovascular system including maintenance of the blood-brain barrier （BBB） and also producing the extracellular matrix （ECm）.

Clustered organization of biosynthetic non-homologous genes is emerging as a characteristic feature of plant *** co-regulation of clustered genes seems to largely depend on epigenetic reprogram-ming and three-dimensional chromatin *** this study,we identified the long non-coding RNA(lncRNA)mARneral Silencing(mARS),localized inside the Arabidopsis marneral cluster,which con-trols the local epigenetic activation of its surrounding region in response to abscisic acid(ABA).mARS modulates the POLYCOmB REPRESSIVE COmPLEX 1(PRC1)component LIKE HETEROCHROmATIN PROTEIN 1(LHP1)binding throughout the cluster in a dose-dependent manner,determining H3K27me3 deposition and chromatin *** response to ABA,mARS decoys LHP1 away from the cluster and promotes the formation of a chromatin loop bringing together the mARNERAL SYNTHASE 1(mRN1)locus and a distal ABA-responsive *** enrichment of co-regulated lncRNAs in clustered meta-bolic genes in Arabidopsis suggests that the acquisition of novel non-coding transcriptional units may constitute an additional regulatory layer driving the evolution of biosynthetic pathways.

The constant increase in power and heat flux densities encountered in electronic devices fuels a rising demand for lightweight heat sink materials with suitable thermal *** this study,discontinuous pitch-based carbon fiber reinforced aluminum matrix（Al-CF） composites with aluminum–silicon alloy（Al–Si） were fabricated through hot *** small amount of Al–Si contributed to enhance the sintering process in order to achieve fully dense Al–CF composites.A thermal conductivity and CTE of 258 W/（m K） and 7.0 9 10-6/K in the in-plane direction of the carbon fibers were obtained for a（Al95 vol%＋ Al–Si5 vol%）-CF50 vol%*** fiber provides the reducing of CTE while the conservation of thermal conductivity and weight of *** achieved CTEs satisfy the standard requirements for a heat sink material,which furthermore possess a specific thermal conductivity of 109 W cm3/（m K g）.This simple process allows the low-cost fabrication of Al–CF composite,which is applicable for a lightweight heat sink material.

Saturation-excess overland flow in the European loess belt:An underestimated process?

A major challenge in runoff and soil erosion modelling is the adequate representation of the most relevant processes in models while avoiding over *** the European loess belt,pro-gressive soil crusting during rainfall events,resulting in infiltration-excess runoff,is usually considered the dominant process generating runoff on catchments covered with silty ***-excess may also occur and affect their runoff and erosion ***,saturation-excess runoff occurrence and quantification have rarely been performed and is usually not taken into account when modelling runoff and erosion in these ***,a continuous simulation of the Austreberthe catchment(214 km^(2)),located in the European loess belt(Normandy,France),was conducted with the new Water and Sediment(WaterSed)model over 12 years,corresponding to more than 780 individual rainfall events,at a 25 m spatial *** inter-annual variability of runoff and erosion was closely linked to the number of intense events per year and their distribution through the *** model was properly calibrated over a representative set of 35 rainfall events,considering either infiltration-excess and/or saturation-excess *** was also able to reproduce the measured runoff volume for most of the monitoring ***,the three years with most rainfall were adequately modelled only including saturation-excess *** analysis performed at the seasonal scale revealed that saturation was modelled in the catchment during almost all of the modelling period,suggesting the importance of this often overlooked process in current modelling attempts.

Strigolactones have recently been implicated in both above- and below-ground developmental pathways in higher plants. To facilitate the molecular and chemical properties of strigolactones in vitro and in vivo, we have devel- oped a fluorescent strigolactone molecule, CISA-1, synthesized via a novel method which was robust, high-yielding, and used simple starting materials. We demonstrate that CISA-1 has a broad range of known strigolactone activities and further report on an adventitious rooting assay in Arabidopsis which is a highly sensitive and rapid method for testing biological activity of strigolactone analogs. In this rooting assay and the widely used Orobanche germination assay, CISA-1 showed stronger biological activity than the commonly tested GR24. CISA-1 and GR24 were equally effective at inhibiting branching in Arabidopsis inflorescence stems. In both the branching and adventitious rooting assay, we also demonstrated that CISA-1 activity is dependent on the max strigolactone signaling pathway. In water methanol solu- tions, CISA-1 was about threefold more stable than GR24, which may contribute to the increased activity observed in the various biological tests.

＜正＞ GPRC6A is an "orphan". G protein-coupled receptor （related to the calcium sensing receptor） which is activated by basic amino acids. Al（3 + ） and the cal cimimetic NPS-568 （see Pi et al., 2005, J Biol Chem 280:40201-9）. The aim of this study was to investigate the possible presence of GPRC6A in rat mesenteric artery （RmA）. In sharp micro-electrode recordings. L-omithine （0.3 mm） produced an endothelium-dependent hyperpolarisation and potentiated the hyperpolarisation to the calcimimetic calindol （100. 300 nm）. The effects of both L-or-nithine and calindol were abolished by the IKCa channel inhibitor TRAm-34 （0.01 mm）. Similar effects （TRAm-34 sensitive hyperpolarisation and potentia-tion of calindol effect） were produced by Al（3+ ）（0.1 mm）. RT-PCR using mRNA extracted from RmA produced an amplicon of the predicted size, which was sequenced and confirmed as GPRC6A. Furthermore, the protein was also i dentified by Western blot using a selective polyclonal antibody. We conclude that GPRC6A is present in RmA endothelial cells and may play a role in the regulation of vascular tone. Funded by the British Heart Foundation

Searching for the neutrinoless double beta decay(NLDBD)is now regarded as the topmost promising technique to explore the nature of neutrinos after the discovery of neutrino masses in oscillation *** X-III(particle and astrophysical xenon experiment III)will search for the NLDBD of136Xe at the China Jin Ping Underground Laboratory(CJPL).In the first phase of the experiment,a high pressure gas Time Projection Chamber(TPC)will contain 200 kg,90%136Xe enriched gas operated at10 *** pitch micro-pattern gas detector(microbulk micromegas)will be used at both ends of the TPC for the charge readout with a cathode in the *** signals can be used to reconstruct the electron tracks of the NLDBD events and provide good energy and spatial *** detector will be immersed in a large water tank to ensure～5 m of water shielding in all *** second phase,a ton-scale experiment,will consist of five TPCs in the same water tank,with improved energy resolution and better control over backgrounds.
